The Absent and the Dead
Seventeen stories of people dealing with loss, death and other cheery subjects in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Quebec, Baton Rouge, Vermont, England, France, Malaysia, The Greater Rift Valley, and Ukraine. Some learn how much better it is to simply give up, some surprise themselves by never giving up, and others just want to save enough for a 1965 Buick Wagonmaster. The humor and imagination of these collected stories, several of which have never before been published, will transport you.
