About the Author

Having grown up in a family with several generations of stray cats and dogs, Cynthia Petillo was never without a four-legged friend in her childhood home. She cherishes the memories of time spent at her grandfather's farm where she tended to calves, chickens, and a coterie of barn cats and dogs. Cynthia's love of animals, especially Kenjo, the Japanese Chin who was a beloved family member and constant companion for her; her husband, Michael; and her son, Michael; are the inspiration for her children's books. Cynthia resides in Kennet Square, Pennsylvania, in idyllic Chester County horse country. She volunteers as a patient liaison in the emergency department at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.
