Moran’s novel feels like two different genres in one; a sweet romance interspersed with erotic memories and plenty of dirty talk. Grey’s bad boy routine doesn’t break any new ground, though his stalkerlike tendencies are legitimately off-putting. But the chaste romance that later occurs between the two is convincing enough, and the author does a good job of tying sexual encounters to emotional investment in the end. It seems Grey has changed, and the buildup of sexual tension is excellent.

A romance where the slow burn love affair is as satisfying as the hot sex.
