As the author said in the acknowledgements, I will keep this brief, because it brings on the tears. The petty, insubstantial cons: 1. Yes, "history major" Ivy still has moments of stupidity that make you want to throw things. She knows less history, geography, or basic learned-from-the-movies theology than a typical high school graduate, and you'll never stop wondering why she never takes her extended traveling downtimes throughout the entire trilogy to ... I dunno, maybe read at least the Cliff Notes version of the Bible? 2. No, the indescribably gaping, unrivaled plot hole of the realm time differences (as described) will never stop bugging those who give them more than a few moments of thought. 3. Although she is and always will be one of my most beloved authors due to her imagination, worlds, and characters - not to mention her ability to make them all so plausible and relatable - I will continue to wish two things. First, if you're going to use a location, either visit it or make sure to get a firsthand account from someone who has. I've been to Red Square, for example, and the speech-robbing majesty of St. Basil's in no way could ever call to mind anything as absurd as described. I also live about 15 minutes from that famous bar in Ft. Worth with the bull-riding, and have lived in New Orleans, so...no. Just no. Second, you can't just add "-ness" to any English word and get an actual English adjective. ? The pros that far outweigh the cons: As with all her heroes... Adrian does not suddenly turn from bad boy (he never started as one, just a conflicted man doing his best with what he had) into perfect knight. Who, in most romances, just needed to find his angelic heroine. He finds a very flawed, human, realistic woman, and they make each other better people. For each other, yes; but also for the higher reasons by which we should all be motivated. If you're a non-believer, you will still enjoy this; maybe it will give you some things to think about or maybe not but you will still love it. If you're a believer, get ready to be reminded what faith, hope, love, and belief really mean. Lastly, does anyone know where I can get a gargoyle egg? Because I am absolutely in love with Brutus and I want one.

Overall it was a good series, not the best ending, leading to the possibility of a fourth book. there were a few strange parts that didn't seem to be along the plot lines. I like the mystery of the ability to use the weapons.

I really enjoyed the way all the characters intertwined throughout the whole book. An ending I liked a lot.

Frost did it in 3. A perfect finale to a story of unnatural lovers caught in a maelstrom of good versus evil.

I really enjoyed the creativity this series had. Around every corner something new occurred. It is the coolest feeling when you are surprised and delighted at that “moment “ when your mind comprehends what they are reading! It’s what keeps me reading. I have read all of the books this author has written and I hope she continues with her love of writing.

This is very different from her other series. The characters are very complicated and the biblical references added to the story. Great series. Check out her other series with Cat too!

Loved the first, the last two had less of that craving spark.

My feelings are a little mixed on this book. I liked it but it didn't wow me in any way. This is the third book in the Broken Destiny series which really does need to be read in order since each book builds on the events of the previous installments. I thought that this book brought the series to a satisfactory conclusion and was a fairly quick listen. Ivy and Adrian continue their quest for the hallowed weapons that they began at the start of the series. They need to find the spear before anyone else can get their hands on it. The problem is that should Ivy decide to use the item it will most likely kill her. Ivy wants to do what is right and Adrian wants to protect Ivy. Can they both achieve their goals? Ivy got on my nerves in this installment a little more than I remember from previous books. At times, it seemed that she was just trying to create drama. In the last installment, Adrian and Ivy were in a good place in their relationship but of course that can't last. It just seemed like unnecessary drama to me. She also had such a hard time figuring out something that was painfully obvious to me that I had begun to doubt her intelligence. She didn't drive me crazy throughout the whole book. There were times that she seemed really strong and willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good. It is just that when she annoyed me in this books she really annoyed me. I thought that this book did some things really well. There were a few surprising revelations that I did not see coming. I really enjoyed the scenes with Brutus in the book. He became my favorite character in the series because of a few of the scenes in this book. I did feel that the ending of this story was a bit rushed and would have liked to see just a bit more to really help wrap the series up. Tavia Gilbert did a great job with the narration in this book. She handles a variety of characters very well along with a wide range of emotions. Her voice was very pleasant to listen to and I found myself able to stay focused on the story for hours at a time. I would not hesitate to recommend her narration. In the end, I thought this was a decent trilogy and I am glad that I read it. I do prefer Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series but found this trilogy to be interesting and unique. I look forward to reading more from this talented author. I received a review copy of this audiobook from Blackstone Audio, Inc. via Audiobook Jukebox.

I have read every book Jeaniene Frost has written and have been in love with all of them. I greatly anticipated this books release just to be some what disappointed. Overall I enjoyed this story but felt the ending of it was cut majorly short. I was greatly surprised to turn that last page to see there was not an epilogue or something else there plus more details throughout those last chapters. She is still one of my favorite authors and I will continue to read her books, just hope this doesn't happen again!

This is the last installment of the series and I think it was the best out of three it was predictable at times but also some thing were a huge surprise. Would definitely recommend !
