The Colored Beads

Colored Beads is considered one of the most important Arabic novels published in the last quarter of the twentieth century, not only for the boldness of its content, but for its innovative artistic style in which Salmawi mixed the biographical novel with the documentary novel. The novel records the most important events that the Palestinian cause has witnessed since 1948, through five days in the life of its heroine, Nisreen Houry.
