THE DOCTOR ORDERS CHRISTMAS
(Christmas Town, Book 4)

Christmas Town doctor Kurt Christmas has loved high school guidance counselor Savannah Livingston his entire life. While he's had plenty of opportunity to meet beautiful and accomplished women, playboy bachelor Kurt hasn't become seriously interested in any of them. He still pines for the stunning redheaded rebel with emerald-green eyes, who took his breath away at sixteen. When Kurt and Savannah reconnect in Tennessee at Savannah's sister's wedding, that old flame reignites and Kurt finds himself hoping for a brand new start. Yet Savannah's current circumstances in Miami threaten to hold her at bay. If Kurt could write a prescription for anything, it would be to win Savannah's heart. But will love be enough to conquer the secrets that stand between them?

EXCERPT

"Savannah, please." The words were a tender petition. "Don't go."

"Kurt, I..." She inhaled deeply, gathering her resolve. "We," she said more firmly. Though her composure was a farce. "We've got nothing to talk about."

"You know I don't believe that. There's a lot more to say, starting with why..." Kurt stepped an inch closer and the front of his tuxedo shirt grazed her back. Due to the sweltering heat, he'd removed his bow tie and jacket the moment the photo session ended.

"That was ages ago," Savannah said, even though in her heart it seemed like only yesterday.

"That doesn't mean it doesn't matter."

"We were kids, Kurt."

"That's what others saw," he said hoarsely. "Not the truth that we knew."

"I don't want that truth anymore."

"Don't you...?" His arms slid around her, and Savannah's breath hitched. Kurt was better looking now than he ever was. He stood just over six feet tall with a solid buff frame, and dark blond hair offsetting his rugged features. "Carter tells me that you and James are no longer together."

"That's my business," she said unconvincingly. "Not yours."

"I could make it mine, if you'd let me..."

Ginny Baird’s Christmas Town series focuses on the small, charming, make-believe town of Christmas Town, Tennessee. Town legend says that after World War I, Lena Winchester wanted to inspire people and boost the economy of the town. She created what’s known as Virginia Cookies, in hopes of inspiring goodness, hope, and love. Decades later, her great-granddaughter Hannah now makes three variations of the cookie, with a little tweaking. The Charity cookie inspires good works, while the Clemency cookie fosters forgiveness, and the Commitment cookie inspires true love. People in Christown Town and beyond swear by these cookies. It seems as though when someone new comes to town for an extended amount of time, they find their true love and never leave. This most definitely has something to do with the commitment cookie. However, in the case of Kurt Christmas and Savannah Livingston there seems to be more at play. The Doctor Orders Christmas is a second chance sweet romance. The characters of Kurt and Savannah are endearing. Kurt at thirty-five years of age seems to have an old world charm about him. Savannah seems to want to move on with her life, but she still carries the past and its secrets with her. While Kurt wants to reconnect with Savannah, she can’t seem to let go of the hurt Kurt caused her all those years ago. I enjoyed watching these two navigate their way around the past to find a future together. I loved the funny, playful, magical moments. What I didn’t like was Kurt and Savannah’s families, as well meaning as they were, pushing them to be together. I just felt that if they were meant to be together, they themselves would have found their way back to each other, which they did. The Doctor Orders Christmas is full of surprises. While the story is about love, forgiveness, and letting go of the past, it’s also a little heartbreaking. This is a standalone read, however some of the secondary characters might make more sense if you were to read the previous books in order. **I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**

Ginny Baird's The Doctor Orders Christmas Savannah Livingston is back in Christmas Town, Tennessee. She is on her holiday break. Savannah is a high school guidance counselor in Miami. She has come back to Christmas Town to create and set up a theater at the request of her sister. Kurt Christmas is the town physician. He has loved Savannah since high school. He lost her once but is determined to win her back forever. Will the magic of the season and Christmas Town reunite Kurt with Savannah?? A fun story filled with magical and humorous situations!!! Two well designed characters with undeniable chemistry surrounded by a well defined supporting cast of characters. A great read that will send warm fuzzies your way. Be sure to read!!!!s I volunteered to read the Doctor Orders Christmas. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

Loved this story!! It's a fantastic second chance story that will fill your heart and make you smile. Kurt and Savannah are both great characters. Kurt's honesty and determination to win Savannah back hooked me and never let go. Savannah took a while to open up but once she did you can just tell they are meant for each other. This is the fourth in the series but easily read standalone. Give it a chance and fall in love with the folks of Christmas Town just like I have. I highly recommend it.

Kurt and Savannah have a romantic history together. One that doesn’t have a happy ending. But even though it’s been years since they were together, neither one has found a lasting relationship. So when Savannah arrives in Christmas Town to become the interim director for the children’s theater, things get interesting. They both still have strong feelings for each other, but they’re also both harboring secrets that could sabotage a relationship. Can they get over the past and accept each other for who they really are? Or will old wounds and big secrets prevent them from moving on for good? I’ve read the other books in this series and this one is another great addition! I love how unique these stories are. They’re not just another holiday romance. There’s a bit of magic involved with the residents of Christmas Town, especially those that are in the Claus and Christmas families. And Kurt Christmas is no exception. I liked Kurt and Savannah’s back story and how the author delves into what went wrong before. I also really enjoyed that we got to read about familiar characters from the other books in the series and how attention was given to new characters. But I especially enjoyed reading about Kurt and Savannah. They definitely have chemistry and they’re both so likeable! So if you’d like to be swept away with a little bit of Christmas magic, then this book (and series!) is for you! *I received a complimentary copy of this book. However, I volunteered to write a review. All of the above opinions are entirely my own.

This is the fourth journey to Christmas Town. A rural celebration town that despite the focus on holiday spirit, peace, and love, still has the same relationship challenges as every other town. Family histories are an important part of holiday traditions. In this story, the author integrates many of the characters holiday traditions into the storyline for dramatic emphasis. There truly is a breadth of emotional highs and lows as Kurt and Savannah try to mend the misunderstandings of the past. I enjoyed the Christmas and Claus family connections with their special couple secrets that added spice to the story. I would highly recommend this book. It was a really fun romantic story.

The Doctor Orders Christmas (Christmas Town Book 4) This is Kurt Christmas, Christmas Town doctor, and Savannah Livingston's story. I love this series. Kurt and Savannah have a history. Their path's cross again since Savannah is in Christmas Town for a short time. There is definitely chemistry still between them. Will they be able to have a second chance at love or is it too late? Will they be able to ignore the magic of Christmas Town and Hannah's special cookies? A fun and sweet story. I really enjoyed the characters and the magic of Christmas Town. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Savannah Livingston has come to Christmas Town to help establish a children's theater. She's happy to be here to visit her newlywed sister, Olivia. What she doesn't look forward to is running into Kurt Christmas. Once they had been in love then he had abandoned her. Will these two get a second chance? I liked Savannah. She has a good heart and works to help others. She fits right in here and becomes friends with the residents of Christmas Town. Kurt is a dedicated Doctor. He still loves Savannah and doesn't understand why she broke contact with him. Once they start dating again he doesn't know how to tell her that both the Claus and Christmas families have magical secrets. This story has heart. I really wanted Savannah and Kurt to resolve their past and embrace their future. The setting and the sparkling dialogue add to this sweet romance. I always enjoy visiting Christmas Town. Returning here always makes me feel good. Ginny Baird does an excellent creating a story that pulled me in. The Doctor Orders Christmas is a special treat. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

The Doctor Orders Christmas ( Christmas Town #4 ) By: Ginny Baird The Doctor Orders Christmas is book four in Christmas Town series. I have really loved these Christmas Town stories. This is Kurt and Savannah’s story. Ginny Baird weaves a sweet romance story that will have you trying to read faster to see what is going to happen next. The story and the characters both are well developed. Kurt, a well know and liked Doctor has always loved Savannah, but a misunderstanding between them when they were teens separated them. Now Savannah is back in town . Both still have feeling for each other, but both have secrets they are not telling. Will these secrets keep them apart? You will meet back up, with characters from the other books. There are the famous Christmas cookies that everyone talks about, yes they are back again. Do they have magic powers? I was given a complimentary ARC copy of this book, but was not told that had to give a positive review.

I dove into this book and didn’t want to come up for air. I did as little “real life” as I could until I finished. I love Christmas Town!! The small town feel, the magic, the relationships…it’s an amazing place! Kurt and Savannah are great characters! They were obviously meant for each other. Kurt knew he had a second chance and he was going to take it! He was so honest and straightforward with Savannah, and I loved it! And when she finally opened up to him, nothing could stand in their way. It was so tender and so sweet. Their story really is magical! This is the fourth book in the series, but does stand-alone. It’s the first book I’ve read, and I am so anxious to read the others now! I just better wait until real life can be paused without too much disruption. ;) I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

I'm just loving this series and town. Who doesn't love Christmas all year round?!? And when Kurt's long lost love Savannah comes home for a project he will use every charm of the season and town to make her see this is where she belongs. Savannah misses her family and the seasons. But her life is in Miami. So when her sister asks her to come oversee a project she jumps at the chance. Only one problem, Kurt. They were teenage sweethearts. But after that one summer things happened or so they thought to drive them apart. When she comes home she's still surprised to be so attracted and affected by him. She never got over him but with his refusal to write back after her admission she doesn't think there's a chance anymore. Kurt is the town doctor. And a Christmas. Everyone loves the family and he's one of the most eligible bachelors there. But when Savannah comes home he only has eyes for her. He refuses to let their past ruin what may be again. Even after she chose not to write back after that summer he wants another chance. Maybe he can make her see she belongs with him. And maybe just maybe she can finally accept him and his special gifts and become his wife. But things are always coming between them and here in town it seems like more of the same. But when old hurts are put right and fears put to rest maybe there's a Christmas miracle just waiting to happen!

Christmas Town, Tennessee, with its Claus and Christmas families, is magical and fun. A constant Christmas season is shown from the shops and eateries, and especially by all those who live there. Savannah Livingston and Kurt Christmas have a second chance at romance, but there are obstacles in their way. They were in love in their teens, but due to circumstances, Savannah ended up living and working as a high school guidance counselor in Miami while Kurt, the town doctor, remained in Christmas Town. Once you go to Christmas Town, expect to be pulled into the romance of it and you will also never want to leave. I would love to go there and be entranced by everything Christmas. I really enjoyed this book and series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend that they be read in order. [I received an early copy of this book and I reviewed it voluntarily.]
