When dragon shifter, Torrence, develops a life-threatening allergy to his people’s mating fruit, no female within a thousand miles will mate him. Heading to his father’s homestead in the Tomb Mountains, he finds himself at odds with the local wolf pack, and facing a lonely future.

Cecily Houseman has never been happier. She’s finally able to open her own shop, Cecily’s Donuts. Although she grew up in Tomb, as a human among wolves, she’s always felt on the outside of things. The alpha’s son is interested in being her mate, but he’s not the right one for her. She’s waiting for that spark to knock her off her feet.

Torrence wakes one morning with a single thought: go to town. The nearer he gets, the stronger his beast rails in his head. As he comes to a donut shop, his beast forces a shift so fast and hard that he rips the door off the shop and takes out the town gazebo with his tail. The alpha wolf wants him gone because he’s dangerous, but Cecily takes one look into his golden eyes and knows that he’s the one for her.

About the Author

A Midwesterner by birth, R.E. spent much of her childhood rewriting her favorite books to include herself as the main character. Later, she graduated on to writing her own books after "retiring" from her day job as a secretary to become a stay-at-home mom. When not playing with her kids, wrestling her dogs out the door, or cooking dinner for her family, you'll find her typing furiously and growling obscenities to the characters on the screen. Her best-selling series Wiccan-Were-Bear, The Necklace Chronicles, Hyena Heat, Wilde Creek, Were-Zoo, Arctic Shifters, Norlanian Brides, Saber Chronicles, and Ashland Pride are available now.

This story only has 81 nook pages. Full of a little action, some conflict, steamy loving, but over all a good read.****

After developing a life-threatening allergy to his people’s mating fruit, Torrence heads to his father homestead in the Tomb Mountains and finds himself at odds with the local pack and facing a lonely future. As a human among wolves, Cecily’s always felt on the outside of things, but now she has finally opened up her own donut shop and couldn’t be happier except with her love life as she is waiting for that spark that knocks her off her feet. This ‘Uncontrollable Shift’ is one sugary sweet romance that knocks readers’ socks off. With one look chemistry explodes and foundations rock and readers can’t help but sigh as they feel Fate take hold. This romantic read inspires hope when life is throwing curve balls and has a wonderfully intriguing twist on dragon shifters which spices things up. The story may be short but the plot is fast paced with non-stop exciting events that ensures readers can’t stop turning the pages of his delightful and charming read.

what an exciting story line. I loved Torrence and Cecily and the problems they have made the book something I will read again and again. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is book 2 of the Uncontrollable Shift series by the author.

Torrence waited twenty-five years to take part in the mating ceremony that would unleash his dragon. He was ready. He was anxious. He was deathly allergic. Not how he pictured the ceremony going down. Cecily's not about to say yes to a man who claims she's his mate when she doesn't feel the same. She might be human but even she knows there's more to being someone's true mate than attraction. That soul deep connection? That unrelenting desire for one person? That passion and desire one man would ignite? She wanted all of that and wouldn't settle for less. Good things come to those who wait. Or those who need a change of scenery. Depends on your point of view. Like Book 1 of the series, it takes a meeting of true mates to force a shifter's first shift. In this one, Torrence broke the standard for dragon shifting because he didn't need mating fruit or a ceremony for it to happen. He simply followed his instinct and took a walk into town. While I liked this book, I didn't like it as much as the first. I wanted a conclusion of some sort for Cecily's life in Tomb. She left behind her shop, her home, and her best friend when she mated with Torrence. The loss was deeply felt but not closed for me. She did build a new life for herself with Torrence amongst his people, so in the book there is closure but it didn't feel like it. This book is still an enjoyable read, short and fairly even paced with enough heat mixed in with sweet moments to keep any reader or fan of Ms. Butler's interested.

Torrence is a dragon shifter with a huge problem. He has a life- threatening allergy to his people's mating fruit. No fruit, no mate then no dragon! Beyond upset he moves to his father's land on tomb mountain. Cecily is a human living in a wolf run town. She just opened up her dream donut shop in the town of tomb then her mate walks into her life and shop. Fun story, fast paced and I couldn't find the pages fast enough lol the characters were really sweet and easy to connect to. I didn't want the story to be over. Dragon fans you will love this sweet story, Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
