The drunken father is a true story based on my own life as a child growing up in Northern Ireland, in the midst of domestic violence, sexual abuse and family secrets in the 1970’s / 1980’s. I felt I was the best person to write the autobiography as it is in my own words, living out the experiences I had from a child and into my 20’s.
