This is the first of a series and I must say it’s a good one.  The story begins with our protagonist, Carly Daniels, watching the Biker Guy from her window.  Carly is scared, hungry, and unsure what to do now that the world has come to an end.  One of the rare survivors of a hideous Infection that has killed off most of the world’s population, Carly feels alone.  Things change when Carly discovers that Biker Guy is more like a survival wiz and learns to trust him.   Justin, aka Biker Guy, is the perfect guy, so to speak.  While he’s damaged, having lived a hard life, he has a sensitive side that draws the reader in.  He and Carly fit together in a way that is almost divine, or as Carly would see it, as fate.  We struggle with them on their journey to find a place to survive, we learn to love and appreciate the art of knowledge, and relish the moment when they finally learn to trust one another and open their hearts to the possibilities of love and family in this new, lawless world. The End of All Things was a bit of a slow read for me, but that didn’t take away from the story.  I enjoyed this book and the development of the characters. Lissa did an amazing job bringing the reader into the minds of Carly and Justin, and I look forward to reading her next installment for this series.
