Overview

The Faerie Prince by Rachel Morgan

Packed with spine-tingling intrigue and swoonworthy romance, the plot thickens in this YA fantasy from author Rachel Morgan...

Guardian trainee Violet Fairdale is just weeks away from one of the most important occasions of her life: graduation. After messing up big time by bringing a human into the fae realm, Vi needs to step up her game and forget about Nate if she hopes to graduate as the top guardian of her year. Everything would be fine if she wasn't forced to partner with Ryn, her ex-friend, ex-enemy, current 'sort of friend'. They might be trying to patch up their relationship, but does she really want to spend a week undercover with him for their final assignment? On top of that, the possibly insane Unseelie Prince is still on the loose, free to 'collect' as many specially talented faeries as he can find—and Vi is still at the top of his list. Add in faerie queens, enchanted storms, complicated not-just-friends feelings, and a murder within the Guild itself, and graduation is about to become the least of Vi's problems.

I would like to thank the author for gifting me this book for a honest review!! Graduation time is coming and Violet is getting nervous on where she is ranking. After everything that happened with Nate, she is still trying to get over his betrayal. For her final assignment for graduation she gets paired up with Ryn. Ryn seems to be trying to get past his brothers death. Things get crazy while they are on their assignment together. They start to get closer. Violet starts to have feelings for Ryn, but is afraid to get her heart broken again. Things get even more our of control when Zell and the Unseelie Queen show up and a fight breaks out. They are able to escape and have to get back to the Guild without their magic, and having to walk back. Ryn was always there for Violet and their relationship grows. I love how Ryn is able to move on and open up to Violet, you see this great side of Ryn. You also see this great side of Voilet, and is able to move on from Nate. We really dont see alot of Nate for a good part of the book. and then out of nowwhere comes Nate. Lots of things start getting revealed. Lots of twists. The ending was just crazy. I dont know why Violet does what she does at the end. But great book! Loved every part of it. I cant wait to read the third book!! Thanks again!!!

Graduation is closing in, and Violet can almost taste victory as top of the faerie guild class. But the last assignment pairs her with Ryn--no longer her mortal enemy, but also not exactly her friend. What seems like a simple assignment throws her further into the problems with Zell, a powerful Unseelie faerie who's collecting fae with special powers. Plus, things with Ryn get... complicated. What an exciting and heart-pounding journey through all the twists and turns of this epic young adult fantasy. I'm rooting for Violet (even after that stupid stunt she pulls at the end of the book - but omg, I have to keep reading! Good thing I have the whole series). The romance is delicious, the twists are stunning, and the end will leave you wondering how the author can possibly fix this impossible situation.

Vi is awaiting her final assignment before graduating. Then she gets the surprise that it is a partner assignment with Ryn. Ryn and Vi start working together and repair their friendship. Then they finally admit to each other their feelings. But they can’t just dwell in those feelings. They still have to finish their task, save Ryn’s sister Calla from an Unseeli fae, Zell’s prison. And don’t forget Nate, he is still has a part to play in this story. I have to say that I love Ryn. He is such a great character and seems almost like the perfect boyfriend. I’m so glad that Vi and Ryn are together, they are a really good couple. And Nate, all I can say is what the heck? Argh!! Then the ending was a big cliff hanger. I’m so glad that I have a copy of The Faerie War to jump right into. The only thing that I have to whine about is that although the title is The Faerie Prince, and he is still in the background collecting fae with special powers, he doesn’t really make an appearance in the story. The Creepy Hollow series is now one of my favorite series. If you like the paranormal young adult series make sure to check this one out. I received a The Faerie Guardian for free from Refracted Light Reviews in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my goodness, this series just keeps getting better! Tons of fast-paced excitement, two people that you just cannot help but want them to be together, and lots of drama and suspense! I think this is my favourite book in the series. The excitement of the guardian graduation, all the secrets (the secrets, man!), and the shock of that ending! Rachel has mastered the art of writing vivid scenery! The scenes at the Seelie Court just sounds so beautiful and magical and I felt like I was really there! But oh, my heart. So many FEELS. Ryn and Violet, just, yes. Yes. Please. And then all the things happen, and so many happy feelings, and then so many UNhappy feelings and sadness and AH. I love it when books can make me feel so many emotions! And I also hate it, because my heart cannot handle this. Another five stars for the second book in the Creepy Hollow Series! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

This book was amazing. I'm starting book three right away. With an ending like that I definitely need to see where this goes. I was able to guess where some things went or how things were connected, but other events took me by surprise. I laughed. I cried. I need to know more. I got this book in exchange for an honest review and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite series.

I do not normally review (yes I'm a bad book lover ?), but for this book I must. Well done! I've read a lot of young adult fiction, and I've read a lot of fae stories, but this is easily the best combo of the two I've read! I'm reviewing book two in particular because it astounded me repeatedly. Especially the end. I haven't been this emotionally invested in characters in quite a while. Highly recommended!
