The Harvest

Danny Reyes is four minutes from a train he's been waiting for too long, on a platform too cold, at the end of a day that asked more than it gave. He's nineteen, exhausted, broke, and barely holding on — and when a stranger steps toward the edge of the platform, Danny hesitates. Just for a moment.
