The Heart of a Firefighter

Take a ride with a veteran firefighter into the flames and emerge with a new outlook on life. The author's dream of becoming a firefighter began when he saw his first Fire Engine scream down the road at age five. After a childhood of struggles, living in a car as a teenager and many years in cotton mills and factories in the Deep South, the dream finally came true at age 28. He refused to let his dream of becoming a firefighter be extinguished.
