A LOT OF SUSPENSE!! I loved the opening of this book - OMG!! The tension was unbelievable! In just a few pages, your heart will break and it last throughout the first 1/3 of the book at least., and the ending. The middle is about building their relationship, which is amazing. I did want to smack our h several times because she kept talking over and over about leaving - WHY WHY WHY, I kept asking my Nook!! She finally gets some sense, because who wouldn't love Daniel - swoon!! There is HEA, no cliffhanger's of course she adds some character's and you will want to keep reading the series to see how it all comes together. I am not going into the premise, as the author's narrative, is great. If you have read Eliza Knight's books, you know is has the best lovemaking scenes - so if this isn't something you like, this isn't for you. The sex is hot and passionate and our H and h are amazing together. (ljb)

Highlander's Lady by Eliza Knight is an intriguing Medieval Romance set in the Highlands, in 1297. #3 in the "Stolen Brides" series, but each title can be read as a stand alone. Although, written in a conservative order.
Daniel and Myra's story is a thrilling story from beginning to end, I was entirely transfixed to the pages. The pull between Myra and Daniel is truly immensely entertaining. Daniel could at times, get on one's nerves with bemoaning his situation. Myra, is a strong, feisty heroine and shows she can and could protect herself. Daniel, is an alpha male, for sure. The two of them make a perfect match.
Ms. Knight has once again has given readers a tale of love, trust, treachery, betrayal, romance and love. A story of adventure with sizzling chemistry and an abundance of suspense. Ms. Knight's stories are vivid in details, you can also smell the heather. I enjoyed "The Highlander's Lady" immensely and highly recommend it to fans of Highland Romance, the turmoil of the Scottish countryside, the thrill of danger and romance amidst turmoil. Another great hit by Eliza Knight! !
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

I enjoy this genre, and was not disappointed. I'm rating it for the level of enjoyment of the book, not as a critique of it's value to the literary world, but as judgement of what's purpose was, and how it was achieved.
It is a bodice ripper set in Scotland. I've read several others by this Eliza Knight, and have enjoyed them all.
