About the Author

Cynthia Woolf is the award winning and best-selling author of thirty-one historical western romance books and two short stories with more books on the way.

Cynthia loves writing and reading romance. Her first western romance Tame A Wild Heart, was inspired by the story her mother told her of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch in Creede, Colorado. Although Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede that is the only similarity between the stories. Her father was a cowboy not a bounty hunter and her mother was a nursemaid (called a nanny now) not the ranch owner. The ranch they met on is still there as part of the open space in Mineral County in southwestern Colorado.

Writing as CA Woolf she has six scifi, space opera romance titles. She calls them westerns in space.

Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband Jim and her great friends and critique partners for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.

What an excellent storyline about Erin and Henry. Erin had me lol with what she did to the adult son of her boss. Great story. Also, enjoyed that the characters from book 1 and book 2 reappeared in this book. I would like to read book 4, Robert's story but cannot find on nook ?. But still, the characters were excellent. Thanks for the great read ( will keep a look out for Robert's story). ***vrnb***

I really liked this 3rd book in the series. It seems the author stayed alert during the writing of this book. I appreciated the action. The main characters all pretty much had the same personalities. I'm glad Ms. Woolf broke script a little with these two main characters. Simone24

Whenever I open a new book by Cynthia Woolf, I smile in anticipation of a vivid story populated with fascinating characters. The Irish Bride, her 3rd entry to her Central City Brides series satisfied my every expectation and then some! Henry Jacobs is larger than life in heart and body, and Erin O'toole is a superb match for him with her feisty Irish spirit and down to earth common sense. At 6 feet 6 inches tall, Henry is a big teddy bear with Erin, even when she loses her temper; but he quickly becomes a grizzly, when a miscreant from his past threatens Erin and their life together. I definitely recommend this enticing historical western romance to all fans of gifted storytelling. I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is the first book I have read by Cynthia Woolf. But I can truly say I cannot wait to read all that she has written! The Irish Bride is the third in a series, but it can be read as a stand alone story. It does make me want to go back and read the first two books though! Erin O'Toole is trying to make her own way without her father. He is involved in nefarious activities that got one of her brothers killed. Desperate she get away she goes west as a mail order bride for Henry Jacobs, a blacksmith in Central City, Co. All Erin wants is to be a wife and mother and hopefully love her husband. Upon meeting Henry she is pleasantly surprised at how he seems almost perfect. Of course, nothing is ever that simple! The characters are well developed and you feel part of the story. Danger and a forced alliance bring a surprising twist to the story. But you need to read to find out what happens. You will not be disappointed and will be eager, like me, to pick up the next book by Cynthia Woolf!! Enjoy!

A blacksmith who has paid his dues and an Irish lass who wants to escape the big city make up this third offering in the Central City Brides. Good story line and pace with characters the reader can cheer for as these two come together through the Matchmaker Co. Settle in for a good read. Authors copy with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Erin needs to get away from New York, so she decides to be a mail order bride. She is afraid her father will send his men after her, so she is careful as she leaves the city. Finally she is in the fresh air and with her husband to be. Henry is a very big man and has vowed to never fall in love again after the loss of his one true love. Erin doesn't think it will be a problem for her if Henry doesn't love her. She just wants a family and a home. Will they both be able to keep that attitude?
