Barbara is married to Robert H. Olson Sr. Their eldest son Robert II, father of their grandchildren, Teresa, Jessica and Rob, is a Real Estate Broker. Richard, their younger son, is a Physicians Assistant, married to Julie a Psychologist, and resides in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. She brings many of her experiences on the road to her writing. She is an accomplished woodworker, sang with the Michigan Northern Lights, a Chapter of the Sweet Adeline's, has taught Interior Design and still holds a Michigan Brokers license. She is the Queen Mother of the Michaywe Red Hatters and she and her husband spend their summers in Gaylord, Michigan.
