A new standalone romance from the New York Times bestselling author of Twist Me and The Krinar Chronicles

Emily Ross never expected to survive her deadly fall in the Costa Rican jungle, and she certainly never thought she’d wake up in a strangely futuristic dwelling, held captive by the most beautiful man she’d ever seen. A man who seems to be more than human…

Zaron is on Earth to facilitate the Krinar invasion—and to forget the terrible tragedy that ripped apart his life. Yet when he finds the broken body of a human girl, everything changes. For the first time in years, he feels something more than rage and grief, and Emily is the reason for that. Letting her go would compromise his mission, but keeping her could destroy him all over again.

NOTE: This is a full-length, standalone romance that takes place approximately five years before The Krinar Chronicles trilogy (aka Mia & Korum’s story). You do not have to have read that trilogy to enjoy this book.

What would you do if you knew an alien invasion was days away? Zaron’s lethal seduction skills and Emily's genuine reactions have them questioning their feelings and wondering what they will do for each other. This story takes place in the weeks leading up to the Krinar invasion of Earth, and all Emily can do is wait. Zaron is an advance man who is supposed to ensure the invasion runs smoothly. However, once he saves Emily’s life, he can’t let her go until the invasion begins, which gives them plenty of time to get to know each other and give in to their desires. There is a funny little black humor moment when Emily watches Independence Day, hoping it will boost her spiraling emotions. She's frustrated and anxious and feeling utterly helpless about the imminent invasion. Emily isn't the type to give up. She tries to escape and alert others, but she's no match for her very big, very fast and very advanced alien captor. This is a standalone book in the Krinar series, but I liked that I recognized references to other stories and characters in this world. It’s sort of a general prequel to Mia and Korum’s story in The Krinar Chronicles trilogy. In the beginning, it was a little difficult sticking with the story. I’m not sure why—it’s a good book. I was given a free Advanced Reader Copy.

If you want to read a novel about HOT alien males this is it! This is a prequel to Mia and Korum but you do not have to read them first. I loved that the reader got a glimpse of the Krinar before the invasion. Anna gives this story from both points of view Emily is outside hiking in Costa Rica when she comes upon a suspended bridge that is not very stable as she walks on it she loses her balance and grabs hold of a plank of wood that breaks when she grabs it..she is then hanging for her dear life over a precipice that if she falls she will surely die. She does fall and is clinging to life when Zaron an alien botanist from the planet Krina happens to find her. He figures that she is dead but realizes she is barely alive. He decides against his better judgement to bring her home and save her life. The Krinar are an alien race that are way more advanced than humans so he actually has an advanced machine that can save her. When she wakes she thinks it was just a dream but when she sees Zaron she knows it isn't..Anna always writes believable characters and I am a huge fan of hers..she does not disappoint. Anna Zaires paints a picture in the readers mind of everything you ever read of (the reader) will find yourself immersed in her stories and will absolutely hate to put it down. Such an engaging read I hated when it was done..Anna I wish you wrote faster just because I love the way you write! Fan for life!

The creativity in Mia & Korum's story was unbelievable and Krinar Captive was no different. Just leaves you wanting more and now I'm addicted to The Kinar series. What else you got Anna? Remember: Sharing is Caring

This is the first book I have read of the Krinar saga and I absolutely loved it !! So much so that I have ordered the whole series now!!!! This is the story about Zaron and Emily before the Krinar took over Earth. It has loads of twists and turns and I am now obsessed with the technology that they use and want to live in a futuristic house!!! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!!! Anna is a fantastic author, I have read her other books (twist me and capture me) which are also 5* + reviews and would definitely recommend them!!! Thank you for introducing me to the Krinar and I look forward to reading more about the soon!!!! This was read as part of the ARC team :) xxxxx

I just finished reading the Krinar Captive. Right now i'm busy fanning myself and wishing I could find my own personal Krinar! As usual, Anna Zaires does not disappoint. The hero was a nice guy, the heroine was smart and independent and the sex was nuclear. I completely lost track of time while this story and finished it in one sitting. I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book and all its characters. I felt for Emily in those first chapters, and I felt like I lived those bone chilling intense moments with her. She is fiercely independent and holds her heart close, unwillingness to let people get too close. Zoran is also fiercely independent and prefers solitude over company. How can two people who hold others at arms length for fear of loving and loosing, open their hearts to love again? This story has a good amount of sex in it, and we expect nothing less. I love the way the characters get to let go when they have their special brand of sex. I really liked that this story explains how K-Day was and how the people of New York handled the invasion in the months afterward. Things that were hinted to in the MIA and Korum books, were explained in this books because of the earlier timeline. The Krinar and their technology were explained in this book so that if a new reader wanted to, they could read the books in timeline order instead of publishing order, and it would make just as much sense. I miss Emily and Zoran and their spicy and steamy relationship, as I zoomed through this book in one day, it was that good! A five star story with depth, great imagery and amazingly lovable characters.

I received a copy of this book, for a honest review. This book was so hot! I couldn't put it down. I loved the Krinar series. This is before Mia, and Korum. When the Krinars was going to invade Earth. Zaron, and Emily are the main charactors in this book. Zaron comes to inspect earth soil, and is trying to get over losing his mate. Emily is taking a vacation after losing her job. She has a accident. When Zaron finds her, he doesn't think she will live. Then she opens her eyes. He saves her, by using Krinar technology. He feels for the first time in years. Can Zaron let her go?? You have to buy this book, to find out. I was not disappointed, and I'm sure you will not be either.
