This was one of the best romance books I have ever read. My only complaint was some plot stuff was rushed, but otherwise, it was so good! It reminded me of a few of my favorite books at times (Outlander, A Court of Mist and Fury, etc.) in the best way!

heroine Fiona is required by clan law to present herself at castle of hero to be one of 4 lasses hero must choose from as his bride or face death Fiona is jilted by her first love & feels unlovable Hero lives a tragedy & is afraid to feel emotion again What happens is a interesting story , well developed characters, brief sad moments fun dialogue Loved this & 'you may kiss the bride'

The heroine in this story was pitiful. Never could like her because you were either feeling sorry for her or you wanted her to shut up. I thought the hero was lame as well. Would have been able to like the story better if the lovemaking hadn't been so awful in the beginning.
