About the Author

Sarah L. Saxton-Stevenson is currently a Registered Nurse and works for one of the top Newborn Intensive Care Units in the country. Turner Syndrome has been part of her life since the day her daughter was diagnosed with is (in utero) 13 years ago. Over the years Sarah has served the Turner Syndrome community and families in one facet or another, promoting awareness. Bringing education and understanding about this has been her main focus for over a decade. In 1997 Sarah spearheaded the formation of what is currently the Utah Turner Syndrome Society and served as President for several years. During that time the Utah chapter was featured in several local news articles, on TV news spots, and was awarded Chapter of the Year by the National Turner Syndrome Society of the United States. Sarah and her family still remain active members of their local chapter. From the years 2000-2005, Sarah worked for TSS-US as their Conference Liaison, organizing annual conferences in cities across the country including Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Orlando, Seattle, and Atlanta, aiding in the promotion of several studies regarding the health of children and women with Turner Syndrome (with a special focus on NLD that is commonly found in the Turner Syndrome population). Her top priorities have always been those of her family and husband. Sarah and Robert have three children and currently reside in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
