The Philosophy of Giambattista Vico

In his account of Vico's (1688-1744) thought, Italian philosopher Croce (1866-1952) is particularly taken with his compatriot philosopher's critique of Cartesian mental experiments and the modern way of looking at the physical world that Descartes bequeathed to western culture.
