Jackson's regret and longing for Paul scream at you from the pages. His regret is so loud it's impossible to ignore. Paul was completely shut down by Jackson when they were teens. Years later he's trying to rectify his mistake while watching Paul and his boyfriend from the sidelines. Trying to hold on to a thread of hope. I can't blame Paul for his belief that Jackson is only in it for short term. He questions if Jackson is capable of love. Given Jackson's playboy past, I don't blame him. Paul's current boyfriend really comes across as a huge jerk. Tryingto purposely hurt Jackson seemed to be his motivation rather than truly loving Paul. Jackson's devastation is profound and I could feel it through the pages. He's lost everything he'd hoped for. I was impressed that Paul is willing to follow his heart even in the midst of an awkward situation. I would have liked to see a longer ending as it feels really rushed but still sweet. Adult read

A beautifully written free 90 page adult story of love taken for granted, turned away, and regained. A gay men story of love that is a basic, very basic, love story.

A nice story of second chances, but the happy ending was a little abrupt.
