She served as co-sponsor for the 1993 USA-Berlin Initiative, an exchange program that brought together a wide range of ethnic backgrounds for one common goal, to leave a legacy of peace in Los Angeles.

Sandy is a National Motivational Speaker for such organizations as NABNA -National Association of Black Narcotic Agents; Southwest Los Angeles College in California and The African American Summit for Peace, Justice and Equality in Fort Worth, Texas.
