This was a well-written, sweet contemporary romance. Emmaline Rossi has graduated from the Continental Butler Academy and finds a job working for Lucas Curry, a handsome, wealthy tech exec. Things get complicated when they find the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. Lucas isn't sure he wants complications and Emmaline has secrets in her past that make it difficult for her to trust. I enjoyed this book, which can be read as a standalone, though it is the fifth in the Billionaire's Beach series. I have enjoyed the books in this series and look forward to reading others by this author.

I really enjoyed this book about Emmaline Rossi who has graduated from a school for butlers and takes a job working for billionaire Lucas Curry. Emmaline and her two best friends have all graduated from the same academy and the characters from their stories are intertwined which, for me, adds to the enjoyment of each book. The idea of a female butler intrigued me and the interaction between Lucas and Emmaline was well written and kept my interest as their story developed. The chemistry between Emmaline and Lucas is electric as she tries to maintain her position as Lucas’ butler while falling in love with him. Emmaline has a past history that she has not shared and this will become evident as the story progresses. Emmaline is helping Lucas’ sister, Stella, with her upcoming wedding while having concerns as to the possessive attitude displayed by Stella’s fiancé. A great sequel to “The Scandal” (another great read) and I look forward to the next book “The Secret”. I know that any book by Ms. Ridgway is going to be a wonderful read with interesting storylines and characters that display genuine emotions. I received a free copy of this book in order to post an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

I received an Advanced Reader Copy, and I'm leaving a voluntarily review. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book about a female butler and her billionaire employer. Emmaline Rossi is a butler who is hired to work for Lucas Cully, a wealthy tech exec. Lucas’ parents had died when he was younger, and he had to finish raising his much younger sister. She is now getting married and having a huge wedding. Lucas needed someone to help him plan this wedding and, therefore, he hired Emmaline. Of course, Emmaline and Lucas fall in love. Emmaline becomes aware of her feelings early in her story, but is aware that it is unethical to fall in love with her employer. It takes Lucas longer to realize his feelings, but he, too, is aware of the problem of being with his employee. This title erroneously implies that this is an erotic story. However, this is not true. Instead, this a beautiful, contemporary romance with characters so likeable that it is very easy to root for their happy ending. This is the fifth book in The Billionaire’s Beach series but easily can be read as a stand-alone book. I know that, first-hand, because I have not read the first four books. However, I do wish I had first read the fourth book, The Scandal. because that is the story of one of Emmaline’s friends. Sara Smythe is a butler who went to school with Emmaline. This lack slowed me down a little at the beginning because Sara and her fiancé are part of this book. However, once I got into the book, this was no longer a problem. However, I plan to read that book next. I highly recommend this book.

Only a skilled author can influence a reader in a way that touches their heart as well as their life. Ms. Ridgway has an ingenious way of using life experience and wise words to draw a reader in without them realizing the true extent of her impact. With laughter ringing in my ears and emotion bubbling from my heart, The Seduction gave me goose bumps with it's intoxicating characters. The takeaway lesson: Life is not about what is acquired, but appreciating the people and experiences as we take the short and bumpy ride.

This is the 5th book in the Billionaire's Beach series, but the 2nd book featuring a female butler. Emmaline Rossi is fortunate to land a butler job in Malibu, CA, for Lucas Curry and assisting his sister, Stella, with her wedding preparations. Unfortunately the secrets that she's been hiding from for the past 5 years are beginning to impact her life. The author is able to present a solution where love fixes everything. I enjoyed the interactions between all of the characters (as well as the crossover of characters from past reads) making this an amusing easy read. (I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.)

An enjoyable read! While this is part of a series, it does stand alone as well. As always with Christie Ridgway stories, I like the characters. They feel like people I know or could like in real life. Emmaline has a past she wants to hide. Lucas has had his own struggles and still plays a father role to his sister. I enjoyed how Lucas helped Emmaline put her past behind her and give her freedom back. I enjoyed how Emmaline took care of Lucas and his sister. The relationship of Emmaline with the other female butlers is just fun. I enjoy seeing them continue to be there for each other and look forward to Charlie's story next. I received a complimentary copy for an honest review.

I loved The Seduction by Christie Ridgway, book 5 in the Billionaire’s Beach series. In this story we meet Emmaline Rossi who found a job working for Lucas Curry a wealthy businessman who really is in need of a substitute wife to take care of all those little things he doesn’t have time to do. Emmaline and Lucas had met before her hiring when they had a miscommunication at a one-night stand. There is a definite attraction between the two but secrets from Emmaline’s past keep her from being able to truly act on that chemistry. Lucas has trouble believing in people. Yet, in this story, Lucas and Emmaline are able to each find a person to love and trust. I really enjoyed the manner in which Ms. Ridgway wrote her story around these two characters, yet set the tone for next story in this series. This was a sexy, fun, and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters. I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I really like the lady butlers in this series. Emmaline finally got a job and it is near her two friends. She is taking care of Lucas' house and helping his sister with her wedding. She thinks that there might be a problem with Stella's wedding and she is very attracted to her employer. Lucas has been pretending that he hadn't met Emmaline before. She seems to be pretending that they never met too. He just can't get her out of his mind and it is getting harder to pretend. Emmaline is hiding from her past and knows that she can never have anything permanent. Lucas is all about solving problems, but is this something he can solve?
