About the Author

Jerrica Knight-Catania knew from an early age that she was destined for romance. She would spend hours as a young girl sitting in a chair by an open window, listening to the rain, and dreaming of the day Prince Charming would burst in and declare his undying love for her. But it wasn't until she was 28-years-old, tired of her life in the theater, that she turned her focus toward writing Regency Romance novels. All her dreaming paid off, and she now gets to relive those romantic scenes she'd dreamt up as a child as she commits them to paper. She lives in sunny Palm Beach with her real life Prince Charming, their Princess-in-training and their aristocat, Dr. Snuggle.

I am a sucker for mischievous twins. And Andrew and Michael are perfectly mischievous in every way. My heart went out to Chloe, she was so easy to relate to. And I found myself falling in love with Andrew right along with her. I am SOOO looking forward to The Bedeviled Bride, because I think that's Andrew's twin - Michael's story.

Oy… by far, the hardest review I've ever written. This book had tons of promise, but inevitably it was simply mediocre in my eyes. While it was decently written and a real page turner, I couldn't really get into the story. Although, I did like that, even though it was long, it was a fairly quick read. It was also very descriptive, it was like I was watching it all unfold on a screen. I love when that happens. Which is probably the sole saving grace from a lower rating from me. As for my complaints, I had just a few. First was the ability for this story to dwell/drone on certain things. There were many times where I said "just get on with it already!" I was tempted to just start skimming to the good parts at several points because it was beginning to get boring. I also didn't care for the characters very much. They were very self-centered and, toward the end, cruel. I didn't feel this was about romance, I felt it was about deception and making fools of the friends/family the main characters are supposed to love. As for the end… it was pretty bad. I felt like I was cheated out of the complete story. There was no mention of Elizabeth and Michael. In the epilogue when the reader is caught up years later, we reunite with everyone but the two people that played such a huge role in the H/h being together. The end effectively ruined the whole book for me. I was so disappointed. I can't recommend this one for the lack of completeness. And yes, I am aware that Elizabeth and Michael have their own book in the next of this series. It does not change the fact however, that I would have liked to see it in this book.

It was a cute story. Needs more charcter build. One explicit scene. Ok recommend to adults.:)

This story was very fun to read. Andrew and Chloe's attraction and all the events that took place made it hard for me to put this book down. A must read romance!

Another book by this author that I just couldn't put down ~ really loved the story. Will be reading it over and over again since it is full of the kind of characters that I would want for friends.

I would not recommend this book at all. Why would the lead character of a"historical romance" be so vain and have no scruples? Beats me. Andrew had no problem visiting prostitutes while engaged and Chloe sleeping with her cousin's fiance did it for me. I can't believe the author did not realize how lame the story was. At the end they tried to make it ok that Lizzie and Michael get together. Historical romance heros are men of courage, seemingly upright yet loving and faithful in their relationships.

I gave this book 3 stars, which I would equate to "average but adequate". What I liked is the easy manner of the characters, the somewhat unrealistic - for the times - acceptance of the main charcter among the "Ton", though she's clearly beneth them. However, the author tries hard to explain this oddity by the fact that all the couples in the group married for love, hence no need to be snobish or look down their noses at the "Farm Girl Turned Debutante". What left a little to be desired was the predictability of occurances. Nothing was really a surprise and each instance was telegraphed before it happened. Further, the book ended way too "happy" for me. Even the jilted and never-loved Lizzie, never really has her vengence for being abused by her cousin and bethroted. It was a quick and easy read, with a good story-line. So it was "passable".

Though there were some parts where a 15 year old shouldn't have read, overall the plot was well structured.

Ok, not perfect, not the best I've ever read, BUT, a great read nonetheless. Just happen to be really partial to Regency era stories, and this only had a couple minor bumps. No major problems with characters acting 'out-of-character', storyline flowed all connections intact. Apparently one story in a series of stories about these characters, so if you like this, there are plenty more where it came from! :)

I dont get it. Chloe doesnt have ant guilt over lusting after her cousins fiance and Andrew even contemplating having Chloe as her mistress. At the beginning, Lizzie is painted as selfish then considerate w/ Chloe's feelings. Andrew thinks like a woman, he even blushes. Not a good story.

It was a light fun read. If your looking for more then two "Romance" scenes then your out of luck. I did not like the ending. I feel that she "forgot" about a character and tried to "wrap" it up but not very well.

This is part of a series but can be read as alone. I do now plan to read the other titles. I can't wait to read Michael's story. Fans of well written engaging historical romances will love this story.
