About the Author

Maria Geraci was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised on Florida's Space Coast. Her love of books started with the classic, Little Women (a book she read so often growing up, she could probably quote). She writes contemporary romance and women's fiction with a happy ending. The Portland Book Review called her novel, The Boyfriend of the Month Club, "immensely sexy, immensely satisfying and humorous." Her fourth novel, A Girl Like You, was nominated for Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA ® award. Her current addictions include watching the STARZ adaption of OUTLANDER to drool over Sam Heughan, hitting the beach on the weekends, and searching for the perfect key lime pie recipe (but not the kind they served on Dexter).

Sweet and sexy contemporary romance! Nate is amazing - he has the whole nerdy but sexy doctor thing going on, and is a bit of a dirty talker in the bedroom! I loved seeing him struggle with his bedside manner and the way he took Lauren's advice about how to improve. I admire Lauren's courage for going out on her own and pursuing her dreams. She deserves all the happiness she finds with Nate. I skipped over the first book in the series, but I enjoyed this one so much that I am looking forward to the next one.  4.5 stars ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Then He Kissed Me is book two in the Whispering Bay Romance series by Maria Geraci. This book was amazing! I’d already met Nate and Lauren in the first book of the series, That Thing You Do. But in this book I fell in love with them. This book has a little bit of everything, evil land developer, crazy ex-girl friend, nerdy and oh so sexy Dr. and Lauren, the divorced, single mom who has a love of retro-style clothes, and who you can’t help but to love. Lauren Donalan is determined to make a success of her retro clothing store. She loves being back in Whispering Bay. She loves being near her family and her son is thrilled to be able to see his father whenever he wants. The only thing missing from her life is love. Lauren’s mother is playing matchmaker and is determined to find the perfect husband for her daughter. When she arranges for Lauren to go on a date with the town’s new Dr. she sees it as a chance for a free meal. But then he kissed her, and everything changed. Dr. Nate Miller, insert big sigh here, is a buttoned up, by the book, stick to the facts type of guy. Who would have thought that underneath all of that, just waiting to get out, was the hot, sexy Nate with an endless supply of love and compassion that Lauren discovered was there. He thought his life was supposed to be with Jessica, until he proposed to her and she turned him down. What surprised him most was the lack of sadness after she turned him down. He felt…relief! Then he went on his date with Lauren, and he kissed her, and everything changed. Nate’s sister who works for an animal shelter, convinces Nate that he needs to adopt a little dachshund mix puppy. Who would have thought that adopting a new puppy would finally help the residents of Whispering Bay accept him! At the same time, Lauren is accepted in as a permanent member of the Bunco Babes whom we also first met in book one of this series. Lauren insists that they take things slow. She’s not sure if Nate is really over his ex-girlfriend. Nate is patient. He will wait as long as it takes for Lauren to be convinced that he is all in. I have to admit a couple of times Lauren was frustrating me. She was too worried. But she had her son to think of. And Nate wasn’t worried. He knew what he wanted. Lauren and her assistant at her store have some big ideas on how they can expand her business. But the evil land developer, Ted, has been seen around town. And there has been a couple of suspicious inspections of her building. Could her business be in jeopardy? I knew from the start that I would really like this book. But about half way through, something happens, and I went from, “Wow, this is a really good book,” to “Oh My Gosh, I love this book!” And Nate, insert another sigh here, well, you get the picture. I love this community of Whispering Bay. What an amazing life living right there on the Gulf. I can practically feel the sand between my toes and hear the waves coming in. The relationships between families and friends in Whispering Bay warmed my heart. Lauren’s parents are nearing their 40th wedding anniversary. But they are forced to face an issue that I believe worry us all at one time or another. Nate also has a fantastic relationship with his Mother and sister. And the Bunco Babes. This group of women will do whatever it takes to help one another. When an issue arises, an emergency meeting is called, and the women go into action. This series is wonderful and I highly recommend it. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, That Man of Mine, due out June 9, to get Zeke and Mimi’s story. Even though these books could be read as stand alones, I recommend reading the series in order to get to know the characters. You wouldn’t want to miss out on any of the awesome goings on of Whispering Bay, Florida.

What a truly wonderful emotional read that really grabs you and doesn’t let you go. It is a heartbreaking story of a family dealing the best way they know how when Lauren father gets Alzheimer's. A story about finding yourself and what you want to do with your life after making so many mistakes. I really loved how this story is put together pulling on your heartstrings why making you smile. I got such a kick out of the items she has in her vintage clothing store, they gave me many laughs throughout the story. Each book in this series keeps getting better and better I have trouble waiting to pick up the next one. When Lauren and Nate met up with friends both find they are attracted to each other. Both have past issues and relationships that bring them home. When Lauren is setting up on a date by her mother with a man that is less than desirable Nate comes to her rescuer. In his past he has come off as stuffy and then there is the youtube video which leaves him less than pleasing. Ms. Robins narration was outstanding from her many different character voices to the emotions she gives them. She does bring this story to life giving you lots of laughs and chuckles along with some sad and trying times. There are no repeats of wording or any volume changes, if any breaks were taken I could not tell. This is a very clear audio that you will get lost in. Her female voices are just as good as her male ones you always know just what they are feeling and going through. She has no trouble carrying off her deep male voices giving just the right tone to them. I found her characters voices and tones to fit each character to a T. I really could hear the pain, sorrow, happiness, confusion and thrills in each characters voice. The narrator’s performance was outstanding giving a very realistic feel to the audio. There were times I laughed very hard and other times I was almost brought to tears. This is the first I have listened to this narrator and cannot wait to listen to more of her work. The author brings you a delightful well written story that at times is very painful it is a wonderful story that unfolds with humor, passion where you might not think there would be. I found it to be very realistic and believable with characters that are down to earth every day people with the same issues we all have. It is wonderful to see how their lives entwine with all the people in town and their families. I just love this town and its people. I liked how Lauren found her way to her dream business as well as the conflict between her and Nate. The ways these two come together was very natural and enjoyable. Nate’s girlfriend is something else which will leave you with your mouth hung open at the things that come out of her mouth. I just fell in love with Lauren’s family from her very busy body mother to her delightful warm and loving father. Nate’s family is wonderful with their warm humor to the way they take him in hand and metal in his life. The story has soul, with wonderful meaning, so many people will be able to relate to it in so many different ways. I fell in love with the plot, the characters from the first page all the way to the last. You will find many hours of enjoyment with a book you will have a hard time putting down. Ms. Geraci fits a lot into the read never leaving the reader behind. It was written in a way that you can relate and understand all the issues why you chuckle. What a delightful cute read that I am sure you will love as much as I have

It's hard not to get lost in the people of Whispering Bay. This charming yet sleepy town is the place to go when a fresh start is on the agenda. Lauren is doing her best to prove herself to be more than just a pretty face. She wants a chance to forge her own path and finds that in her old home town of Whispering Bay. There she reconnects with an acquaintance that has as much to lose as she does. Nate may have changed on the outside but still feels like an outsider on the inside. Lauren helps him feel less lost in the shuffle. Learning to trust in yourself is the lesson that I took away from Then He Kissed Me.

don’t know how she does it, but Ms. Geraci had me captivated with this story from start to finish. I LOVED book one of the Whispering Bay Romance series, That Thing You Do, but somehow she topped it with this one. The story centers around Nate, the new doctor in Whispering Bay and Lauren, a young divorcee who owns a vintage clothing store in town. Both have returned to their hometown to be with family and friends. They reconnect the night that Nate’s girlfriend turns down his marriage proposal that he made very public at a local restaurant. Lauren was there on a date gone wrong, so Nate gives her a ride home. We met Lauren in book one. She is Tom’s ex-wife and Henry’s Mom. The story is not only about these two, but about family, friends and the importance of them in our lives. About a town that sticks together, about how Alzheimer not only affects the patient , but their families, about being able to be yourself to the one you hold dear to your heart, and about love and loyalties. So, thank you Ms. Geraci for another heartwarming story . I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

Then He Kissed Me by Maria Geraci is an entertaining read. Ms Geraci has delivered a well written book with plenty of drama, humor and sizzle. Lauren and Nate's story is peppered with fantastic characters that make Then He Kissed Me a fun read. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Maria Geraci in the future. Then He Kissed Me is book 2 in the Whispering Bay Series, but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book.

I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion and I am glad I did! It is second in a series, and while there were a couple of moments that made me wish I had read the first in the series, it is an awesome stand alone that doesn't leave you confused or left behind. The characters are all well written and have a lot of depth and you actually felt you could commiserate with all of them, even though there were moments that made you want to smack them upside the head. The story, although it's not a new idea, was sweet and felt genuine and not forced. Things happen at a good, quick pace and didn't really drag for me. The main characters are supported by a fantastic cast of characters who are so funny it makes me want to keep reading the series just to see them more! The book came at the perfect time for me because I had just read book that left me feeling unhappy with the book world, but this one reminded me why I love reading. It is a great summer read and definitely a series to watch out for if you need lighthearted books to lose yourself in for awhile.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I thought this was an excellent book. I have done a few of these reviews before for a couple of other authors and while I would like their writing well enough, typically the story just wouldn't flow very well and there would be details left out that shouldn't be. NOT in the case of "Then He Kissed Me". It was very well written and the story line flowed beautifully. I liked her writing so well, that I went out to my book swap site and ordered all the books they had by Maria as well as put the rest on my wish list. I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I loved, loved, loved this book. After reading That Thing You Do, I was excited to see if Lauren would get her happily ever after and I am thrilled that she finds it with Nate. Lauren and Nate are both wonderful characters in their own way, and while one may not peg these two as soul mates when you first meet them, what you find is that their individual eccentricities are perfect together. Nate is a bit of a nerd. Yep, I said that. He's a bit awkward around people in general, not just women. He likes to stick to "facts" and not spend time with those messy emotions and relationships. The irony isn't lost on me that at the beginning of the book he has been in a relationship for THREE YEARS. I think the only reason he has been with Jessica for all that time is that he's disengaged with the relationship and she never noticed, being the narcissist that she is! I love that Lauren was at the restaurant to bear witness to his very public humiliation by Jessica. What a perfect beginning to their relationship - although they didn't know it at the time. The author weaves a wonderful, funny story that navigates a relationship trying to start; a woman who struggles to figure out her first adult, mature relationship while observing her father degrading health; and a man who is trying to find his place in his medical practice and in Whispering Bay. I think that Nate is incredibly patient as Lauren tries to figure out how to approach her son about her relationship with Nate, and when Lauren continues to insist that Nate make sure his feelings for Jessica were done. I loved the scene between Nate and Jessica at his house when she refuses to leave, so he does! What a perfect way to deal with that situation, and a great way to make a powerful statement to Lauren about his feelings for Jessica, and for Lauren! We get another humorous look at the Bunco babes as they welcome Lauren into their fold, play Bunco with their significant others, and welcome a new baby into the fold in a quite humorous way! Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This beach front romance pulled me in like riptide current.  Set in Maria Geraci's Whispering Bay, the characters in this second chance romance had my attention from word one.  The heroine, Lauren was once Whispering Bay's "Golden Girl".  She is well heeled, and well educated, but not well at all in the romance department.  Enter Dr. Nate Miller who has the cure for her wounded spirit.  Nate is a very smart, very thoughful and ooooooh so very logical - as in Vulcan-like logical.  Lauren is caring, loving but more free spirited in her life and business decisions.  Nate is recovering f rom a well planned, well thought out marriage proposal that went awkwardly and very publicly wrong. Lauren is recharging after a marriage that blessed her with a terrific son, and a friendly, supportive ex, but not the true love she craved.  These two come together, and when he  kissed her, it just feels RIGHT!.  Of course they are surrounded by now familiar Whispering Bay characters that have grown on us through several of Geraci's books. The bunco babes do not fail me in this tale.  There is just the right ammount of humor, sex, sass and tenderness to keep the pages turning. There is also top notch character delvelopment that made me really LOVE this couple.  I can't wait to read the next book in this Whispering Bay collection!
