Then The Sky Was Opened
In the tradition of "Large In Time," Rick Hutchins returns with a new collection of poetry (after two volumes of short fiction). Ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, these poems will have you laughing and crying, thinking and sighing, and very likely scratching your head. If you loved "Large In Time," "The RH Factor," "King of the Zombies," "RH Factor II: Eidolic Highway," or are a regular follower of "Trunkards" on Tumbr, there's absolutely no guarantee you'll like this book-- but life is short, take a chance.

About the Author

Rick Hutchins, mild-mannered alter ego of that virtual rapscallion RJDiogenes, is, unfashionably, a heterosexual white male. He is tragically unhip in other ways as well: He eschews the sinister dexterity of the political spectrum and its fashionable fear and loathing. He is still single, despite the recent landmark court ruling allowing atheists to marry. After 22 long years working in health care, including a 14-year stint as manager of a midwifery service, he now keeps himself busy at a non-profit health insurance company. He is a great lover of astronomy, paleontology, archaeology and Roaring Twenties artistic nudes. To say nothing of a good cup of tea. His sign is Reduced Speed Ahead with Cholesterol Rising. He is an honorary midwife, the first and only BMC Birth Brother, and the proud recipient of the 2013 Mihmiverse Good Sport Award. And he can rhyme like nobody's business.
