About the Author

Pam Kumpe believes God promoted her from Kids Church teacher to Jail Ministry after 24 years of teaching children. Now, along with her Brownie Ministry to prison families and her Birthday Cake Ministry to the homeless, she holds a Sunday service for ladies in a drug/alcohol recovery center.
Pam has written an inspirational newspaper column for the Bowie County Life section of the Texarkana Gazette for 13 years. She speaks at retreats and events challenging listeners to find joy and to rise up and walk in victory—to live life as a big kid for God.
She is also the host of two online radio-podcasts "Permission to Have Fun" and "Schades of Silliness."
She has written four books, two are devotionals: See You in the Funny Papers and A Scoop of Inspiration. Her children’s book In the Lick of Time tells the story of a stray dog, Schade, whose best friend, Priscilla, a sheep, thinks Schade needs a makeover.
Pam’s newest book, Things I Learned in Jail – Hope for Anyone Handcuffed to Despair is based on finding hope in Jesus, on breaking those invisible chains that hold us back.
She will give you permission to have fun and challenges you to experience joy unspeakable—because this is the day the Lord has made.
