Garret Fox is a police detective born with an evolutionary anomaly that gives him and his descendants the ability to frustrate the natural flow of time. Garret discovers that time, a nearly sentient entity, does not want him to survive. His life has been spared hundreds of times by members of two warring future nations, each hoping to befriend Garret due to his unique genetic makeup, and Garret wants to be free from all of it. In this story of time versus evolution, Garret embarks on a journey of self-discovery while trying to save the world from the damage that the discovery of time travel has caused.

About the Author

Jason Dougherty is a professor of choral music at Metropolitan State University Denver. He holds undergraduate degrees in both English and Choral Music Education from Brigham Young University Provo and advanced degrees in Choral Conducting from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is actively involved in the Barbershop Harmony Society, singing baritone with the world-renowned Sound of the Rockies Chorus and acting as a Music Judge for various singing contests and festivals around the United States. Jason�s love for grammar, vocabulary, story-telling, and science fiction fuel his drive for writing. He lives in Westminster, Colorado with his wife and five daughters.
