Author Marla Stahl isn’t saying how old she is, but she is old enough to have some fun retirement jobs, like writing children’s books, and being a tour guide at a major-league ballpark. Illustrator Katie Heady is a Maryland-born artist, animator, storyteller, and Computer Animation Generalist. From a young age, Katie was always exploring and experimenting with crafts, which resulted in lots of rock and seashell collections, talking to toys, making fairy homes, and lots of scratch marks. From these childhood experiences, one thing that has stuck with Katie is to always have a sense of humor. Katie graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, and works in Chicago, Illinois as a Computer Animation Generalist in the advertising industry.
