I enjoyed this short novel. There is no doubt from the start where it is heading but it was charming and fun to get there.

Really enjoyed this sibling's best friend short story! I like this trope anyway, and the execution of it was great, featuring a gay young man David and his crush on his brother Derek's best friend Wiley (who his brother insists isn't gay). I enjoyed the camaraderie of all the characters, the brother's together and each of their relationships with Wiley. The sexual chemistry between David and Wiley is definitely present and leads to some steamy scenes between them as Wiley admits to David that he's been interested in him all along. I really appreciated Derek's acceptance of his brother David being gay, letting David be comfortable with his sexual orientation in a way that many young men (like Wiley who has been in the closet) don't have the chance to be. For a short story it packs a lot of punch and was a super read. 5 stars!

Incredibly well written short story. I loved listening to David's internal ramblings. The man has some great one liners. Derek is a wonderful big brother. I admired his acceptance and protection of his openly gay younger brother. Wiley was the one who impressed me the most though. Given his past, I was pleasantly surprised when he bravely makes the first move in beginning a relationship with David. I'll definitely be looking for more from this author. Adult read

This is the first story I've read by Karen Stivali and I loved it! Friends to lovers is one of my favorite trope whether it's F/M, M/M or some other combination. The story was both sweet and touching with just the right amount of sexy time. I will be reading more of Ms. Stivali's work soon. Thank you for such a great story!
