Torridby Nikki Sloane

Vasilije Markovic is the prince of the Serbian mafia and one of the most powerful men in Chicago. His smile may be razor sharp, but he's crueler than the devil.
I'm playing a dangerous game and betting my life I'm going to win. I pretend to be his pawn. I do as he says and move where he tells me, letting him think he's in control as I position myself for revenge.
Every turn brings us closer. His grin doesn't seem as evil when we're alone. Behind closed doors, I welcome his unrelenting and vicious personality. He's confessed all his secrets, but I'm holding one back and it's a game changer.
If I survive the board, this pawn turns into a queen. I become the most powerful player and send all the other pieces running. To get what I want, I must make sacrifices, but am I willing to draw the line at him?

Once again, I was completely seduced by Nikki’s potent spell of sexy dark magic. She conjured up a story overflowing with her unique brand of sex, sin and secrets. If you're looking for something sweet and fun, full of heart warming feels, keep looking. This isn’t your book. If you are looking for a book that pushes boundaries and makes you a little uncomfortable while driving you wild, you've found it! Vasilije is NOT going to win any "sweetest book boyfriend" contests. He might, however, win the contest for "Biggest Jerk Anti-Hero". Despite that, he stared to grow on me. Eventually. After about 100 virtual slaps upside the head. While technically Torrid is a standalone, I highly recommend reading Sordid first. Like Torrid, it is also dark and edgy and a little bit controversial. I really wish I would have had time for a re-read of Sordid to refresh my memory on some of the events. Vasilije is a secondary character in Torrid. He is the brother of Luka, who is the Hero (or again, anti-hero) of the story. You'll have a much better appreciation and understanding of Vasilije if you have read Sordid first. Here's the thing I love the most about Nikki's books. Not only are they some of the hottest and most erotic books around, but I always find something unique and special about the sexy times. Her special brand of erotic always includes something a little bit different or something you aren't expecting. I always think I've read it all, until I open a Nikki Sloane book and find myself thinking, "Oh! I've never seen it written quite like that before!" It makes me a little bit giddy to be honest. If you are a dark romance fan, I highly recommend you one-click this daring and wildly erotic mafia romance.
Nikki delivered on an amazingly hot sequel to Sorrid. We learn that Vasilije is just as dangerous as his brother. This is most defiantly made us squirm in the first book were very tame in comparison. The hotness factor is still a solid five starts. One of my favorite reads of the summer so far. Thank you Nikki for a look into this dark world. I was gifted a copy of this ARC for an honest review.
Sexy, Dark and Suspenseful! Torrid is the second book in the Sordid Series, but could definitely be read as a standalone. It is sexy, dark and suspenseful! Vasilije is making his name as nephew and next in line to Serbian mafia crime boss. "He was the devil and tasted like sin. Dark, delicious evil." Oksana, the illegitimate daughter of a Russian mafia king, has an agenda of her own. She is a strong, resilient heroine. Oksana really learns so much about herself and as she grows and changes, she is the catalyst that changes Vasilije. "Looking at him was the same as staring at the sun. He was scorching. Beautiful. Fascinating, but I couldn’t do it for too long or I’d risk permanent damage." I loved this dark and exciting and HOT story! 5Stars!!
