This story just seemed rushed and incomplete. The characters weren’t as well crafted as her other books.

Okay we all know I am a huge Kitty Thomas fan. She always seems to deliver a dark and tantalizing story. Well Trust Game is just that type of story. Not sure know Kitty Thomas can write a story that leaves you completely sated yet yearning for more. This novella delivers a powerful yet short and fast story with unforgettable characters. The story develops from an unemotional and non-touchable hitman who eventually evolves. This short story is about a professional job with an unexpected twist. See even the best laid plans down to the last minute can be altered. Being attracted and afraid of the man who holds me captive is easy. Leaving him may get dangerous if I dare to try. Can I do what needs to be done to save myself from this Twisted Fate or will I spend my eternity locked inside a beautiful cage? I don’t give spoilers so I recommend you grab a copy of Trust Game and read Angel and Astrid’s story. You won’t be disappointed.

Kitty Thomas has a gift for making the darkest situations somehow appear less dark, and even desired at times. Astrid's life appears bright, but it's dark indeed with her husband's activities. Enter Angel... who offers a dark sort of mercy indeed. He's not a knight in shining armor, and rescues her from her nightmarish life to enter Angel's own darkness instead, and yet, he is by far not the monster one might assume. It's a thrilling ride of excitement, and also an intriguing trip into the psychology of the two as they work through their own demons and still somehow find some measure of completion together. This was a quick read, but still so deep, and well worth the wait from a talented author.

Mind-Freaking-Blown, guaranteed!! First thoughts that came to mind after I turned the last page, "breathtaking, outstanding, intense, memorable and I want more". This exciting story is filled with danger, intrigue, steamy scenes, passion, and darkness! I bet this book has gone beyond anyone's expectations. Author Kitty Thomas has outdone herself with this dark masterpiece. The story is beautifully well-written, intricately plotted, fascinating, suspenseful and with characters so real and unforgettable, they practically jump of the pages. Mind Freaking Blown guaranteed. Angel and Astrid's journey was a dark, wild ride, one I wouldn't mind continuing to enjoy!! Do yourself a favor and grab your copy today!!

Just, WOW. I really like Kitty's books and although this was a novella it was amazing. Astrid was perfect portrayed with more or less real reactions and that was the sweetest part. Angel? absolutely wonderful. I can't think of a better portrayal of a man who believes himself to be 'good' and is trying to rationalize the bad he is doing. I'm trying not to get into it too deeply because I don't want to spoil anything but seriously. If you want a 'taste' of what Kitty has to offer, this is a great way of getting it.

I trust Kitty Thomas to always give me a good read and she has done it once again with the novella Trust Game. In this short story, the lovely Astrid unexpectedly arrives home just as Angel the hitman has killed her scum bag husband Joey. Considering what Joey was guilty of Angel was truly merciful in the manner he killed him. One look at Astrid and the chase is literally on as Astrid attempts to flee from Angel. Angel quickly catches up with Astrid and it turns out the hitman has a heart after all and Astrid is a very lucky lady even if she is at war with herself in terms of her attraction to the hitman. Read the story if you want to know the rest, it's worth the read.

This messed with my head a bit, but in a very good way! Angel is a brooding anti-hero, with a calculating mind, not a heart of gold. Precise, accurate, and focused in all that he does. Disciplined, until he sees her, then he acts out of character. He isn’t all warm and fuzzy all of a sudden, he just doesn’t act as he would normally act. Astrid has had a hellish existence, and the devils she knows she doesn’t want, and at least she feels something for Angel. The depth of her pain and suffering isn’t known to him, but even once it is, he is who he is, and he wants what he wants. In the end, they both realize it was absolutely for the best This is a quickie, but it still packs quite a punch, and I was enthralled by every word and action in the story!
