Though we see each other only once a month, Amanda's sweet body and wicked ways have been driving me wild for over a year.

And now that I'm moving to Austin, I'm determined to have Amanda in my bed permanently.

There's only one problem: Amanda's happy with our current arrangement. But I'm going to try every sensual, seductive, romantic trick up my sleeve to convince her that a lifetime of nights together is worth the risk ... and forever will be so much sweeter.

Who's Your Man of the Month?

When a group of fiercely determined friends realize their beloved hang-out is in danger of closing, they take matters into their own hands to bring back customers lost to a competing bar. Man of the Month is one of my favourite series and book 7, Turn Me On is for me the best so far. What happens when a couple that hook up once a month decide they want more, what happens when it seems that only one of them wants more do you risk losing what you have ...... Mr July was a perfect love story, it wasn’t rushed, it was about two people getting to know each other and falling in love, it started off as a hook up and turned into so much more. This book felt real to me because it’s about real feelings, emotions and fears, the chemistry was sizzling hot and the attraction was instant but it was only ever meant to be a once a month Hook Up .......... I love my catch ups at The Fix because every book is about friends and lovers and every story makes you feel like you are visiting and catching up with friendships formed over the previous books. J.Kenner is doing a great job with her Man of the Month Series and I can’t wait to meet Mr August.

5 Star Review Turn me On (Man of the Month #7) by J Kenner The seventh book in the series and is Amanda and Derek’s story and wow what a story. Another fun quick story which flowed well and was a wonderful read; in fact this may now be my favourite so far in the series. This series has fast become one of my go to series, with each story unique and different. In Turn Me On, Amanda and Derek meet by chance and a one night stand, turns into a regular monthly booty call, or is it? Amanda is determined that she will not get into a relationship as work must come first. Derek on the other hand has been a bit of a player in the past, but he has now decided that that is not all it is cracked up to be. He believes that Amanda could well be “the one” for him. What happens when Derek moves to Austin and wants to move their “relationship” to another level? Amanda is not thrilled at his news as she is happy with their current arrangement. I loved the development of their relationship over time and I must say that I really loved Derek and Amanda, separately and together. Will Derek be able to convince Amanda to take a leap of faith and show her that together they can have it all? Or will Amanda be too scared to take another chance at love? One click now and find out. The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all. I am excited to see what happens in the next book; bring on Mr. August.

Sensational! Book #7 of the Man of the Month Series will definitely heat you up! When Derek Winston, the insanely sexy hunk heir to the Winston fortune of Winston Hotels waltzes into Austin Texas....his life will never be the same. Single and determined to show his father he can take over the hotel business and add a little more...a man who gets what ever he wants and when he meets Amanda Franklin, the young beautiful woman focused on her own career in Real Estate....he is determined to have her. Only problem is she doesn't do relationships.....but she is not opposed to the "hook up"..... surprising that these two characters would meet as a one night stand.... their chemistry will zap you... agreeing to this once a month arrangement when Derek returns to Austin for business is perfect for Amanda. Until somewhere along the way Derek realizes that he wants more... Only problem is that when Derek's best friend experiences a life changing event it affects him in ways he never looked at before and he has decided to make changes in his own life and moves back to Austin to make a life with Amanda..... In order to win her heart he enters the Mr. July Man of the Month at the Fix on Sixth is and wins hands down.....with the help of her best friends Jenna & Reece (Book #1 of MOTM) is he able to steal her heart. A very enjoyable light read, entertaining, engaging story.

Although this story is technically about Mr. July, the Man of the Month competition actually takes a back seat in this slow-building romance between Amanda, best friend to Jenna and stepsister of Nolan (Mr. April) and Derek, friend to Parker (Mr. June) and Landon (Mr. August). Amanda and Derek meet and begin their monthly hookups long before the financial problems (and the MOtM contest) with The Fix on Sixth start. I enjoyed the way this story was told from a unique perspective since we relive some of the scenes from previous books, but this time it's from Amanda's POV. Their mutually agreed upon "same time next month" sexual relationship works for both of them, until they both independently start to realize their feelings for one another are heading out of casual territory. Amanda was deeply hurt after a relationship not only broke her heart but affected her professional career as well. She fears that history will repeat itself if she gives into her deepening feelings for Derek. I liked the pacing of this story, though their HEA ending kind of picked up too quickly. Would have preferred a bit more reaction from their Fix friends once they found out these two had been carrying on for over a year! Still a very enjoyable read!

Another man of the month and this time we have Mr July. Derek and Amanda have had a good thing going and it works well for them that is until Derek is back in Austin for good but he wants more and will do anything to get what he wants. Thing is Amanda is happy with the way things are and doesn't want anything serious. Can Derek convince Amanda to make it more than once a month kind of thing? I am totally in love with this series and the characters are amazing, you are drawn in with all the drama.

Well HELLLLO Mr. July! Turn Me On is such a fitting title for this book. I fell pretty fast with Derek. He is has amazing sexy appeal. He is gorgeous, perfectly determined, fantastic in the sack, has a charming personality and Amanda made for his perfect match! He wanted a relationship and she just wanted casual and they just seemed to click well in and out of bed. The fact that this book was spread out in a nice time frame instead of a faster one really made this a lot more endearing. I think it gave the characters a chance to grow and the simmering desire to come back in full hot force and gave the sex was hotter and more seductive. I love the hell out of J. Kenner's Man of The Month series, and I think Turn Me On is far more endearing and the romance really blossoms. Turn Me On gets a SEXY FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Turn Me On by J. Kenner is the seventh book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Amanda and Derek, secret lovers who meet one a month. She is happy with the status-quo while Derek wants to go all in. Amanda has been burned before and is no longer willing to risk her emotional well-being or her career aspirations for something as ridiculous as a relationship. Meeting Derek was the most fortuitous of events as he wasn't local and was only in town around once a month. Win-win as far as Amanda was concerned. Derek likes Amanda. He knows she is wanting low-key and no-stings and he is fine with that - for a while. They agree to be monogamous and they start to spend as much time as they are able to each month, together. Derek decides Amanda is it for him and is determined to let her know. He isn't prepared for how closed off her heart is and how definitive her plan to keep things simple truly is. Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!

Turn Me On by J. Kenner (Man of the Month #7) is a fun and fast story about how something casual can grow into a deeper connection and something much, much, more. This story can be read as a stand alone and starts out timeline-wise before even the first man of the month novel and encompasses many of the events in the other books. Amanda Franklin is recovering from a bad previous relationship and getting her real estate career back on track is her only focus. So when the enticing Derek flirts with her from across The Fix and it turns into a night of passion with no strings since he is headed out of town it's just what she is looking for. When it turns into a monthly thing its just more of a good thing. Derek Winston is living the life his family's heritage decided for him. The chain of upscale hotels bearing the Winston name has afforded him many opportunities, but also burdens. Amanda presents many delicious opportunities as well, but none of the burdens. The longer they know each other the more a casual hook up turns into a friendship with benefits and a real relationship, which scares Amanda because of her past history, but Derek is different and knows that they can be something more. I enjoyed how Turn Me On gave us a story that ran concurrently with the other novels and integrated with them, while not needing them. Amanda and Derek are a fun couple who both have ambitions and ones that each other helps realize just by being supportive. The book was a fast read, but because of the length of time it covers it creates a feeling of progression and length to that was nice. Overall, every Man of the Month novel has been fun and interesting in it's own right and I'm beginning to have trouble picking a favorite. Turn Me On by J. Kenner was another winner that I eagerly devoured. Fun, fast, passionate and romantic, I very much recommend it. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book I received for free from the publisher in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

Boy is it heating up this summer with the seventh book in the Man of the Month series. This is one of my favorite series and the books just keep getting more seductive. Derek is the heir to a hotel chain and is a reformed playboy. He is focusing on work and does not have time for relationships. However, one night he sees Amanda at the Fix on Sixth bar. His switch is flipped and he is determined to have her. Amanda is a career driven woman especially after she allowed her ex-boyfriend to impair her job and then leave her. All she wants is a one-night stand and that is perfectly fine with Derek. However, their one-night turns into once a month whenever Derek is in town. The more time they spend together the more they are drawn to each other. What will Amanda do when Derek makes it known that he plans to move to Austin? Can Amanda find a way to let go of her past and realize that not all men are created equally? Will Derek stay and work with Amanda to show her that their relationship can work and that he will not leave her? This is one story that you will read in one sitting because it is just that good. I cannot wait for the next book to read Landon and Taylor’s story. I volunteered to read an arc of this book.

I was looking forward to Derek and Amanda's story and it did not disappoint! This hot, sexy, funny, romantic tale kept me thoroughly entertained while Derek and Amanda fall for each other. Amanda is very relationship shy, but each month they meet she falls for Derek a little more. Derek gets there way before Amanda and when she finally realizes how she feels......these two are perfect for each other! Loved it from beginning to end!

Turn Me On is my favorite (so far) in the MOTM series. (Do I say that with every book I read in this series??? LOL) I adore Amanda and Derek! These two had the same thing in mind...one and done. No strings attached. But with the one night they had, they could not get enough of each other. I loved that they had so much chemistry and need that has these tow nearly ripping each others clothes off when they get together. The heat and intensity that Amanda and Derek have was either going to break them or weld their hearts together. I was hoping it would be the latter. The sexy time with these two had my heart pounding! I could not get enough of these two and I loved walking through their story and knowing what was happening in the background. You can read this story as a standalone, but reading the books prior gives you a solid foundation of what is happening offline. Turn Me On was a book that I have been anticipating. I stayed in bed and just read an amazing story. Kenner is still killing it with this series! I love the how she stays focus on the characters and yet keeps the main story behind to still shine through. Now if only there really was a MOTM contest, I would be first in line to vote. Another 5 star read for this girl!

It's time for Mr. July. This one felt a little different then the rest in the series. They had the bar they're trying to save, but it wasn't as prominent as the previous books , but in no means it wasn't as good. I liked Amanda and Derek together. The flow was great in getting their full story. This one did leave anticipating the next book in the series.

I’ve been looking forward to Amanda & Derek’s story since the teaser in “Man of the Month” #6. This did not disappoint. Amanda & Derek start as casual, once/month meet-up buddies. They become so much more and it’s amazing reading their story sizzle off the pages. This is a must read as we catch up on a lot of previous “Man of the Month” couples too!

This story grabbed me from the start! Strangers exchanging heated glances, witty banter & heavy flirting lead to some serious heat. I really liked that both Derek & Amanda are strong, confident characters. They’re career driven and know what they want and a serious relationship does not fit in their plans. Semi-regular hookups with no strings or complications is fun & suits both of them just fine...until it’s no longer enough.

Derek is in town on business when he stops in at The Fix to have a drink with a friend and sees Amanda sitting at the bar. The attraction between them was intense and it results in a steamy evening together. Due to the travel that Derek’s job requires it is not conducive to a relationship so when he suggests that he call her the next time he is in town he isn’t sure how she will react. Amanda put her career on the back burner for a man once and she won’t be doing it again. So when Derek suggests they meet monthly it seems like the perfect solution. They continue their arrangement for a year until Derek reevaluates the priorities in his life and decides to not only move to Austin but that he wants much more than a monthly hookup with Amanda but is she ready to take the next step? I liked how their relationship developed over a year and they slowly became more a part of each other’s lives through texts and calls before they jumped in with both feet. I enjoyed the characters especially Derek as he knew what he wanted and what he wanted was Amanda but he was patient until she was ready as well.

I really enjoyed how this book started in the past. It allowed the reader to see what had been happening leading up to the Man of the Month contest and how Amanda and Derek REALLY met! Their friends weren't aware they even knew each other. They weren't interested in long term or commitment and they were both involved in their respective careers. I enjoyed the chemistry these two had! What started out as once a month, started worming its way into their everyday lives. They both had various career hurdles in their lives, but it was so much more than sex. It snuck up on them and I loved their journey! This was a fast, unputdownable read for me. Grab your copy now!

sexy, provocative, playful TURN ME ON is the seventh instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult MAN OF THE MONTH erotic, romance novella series focusing on a fund raiser for the popular Austin, Texas bar known as The Fix. This is billionaire hotel developer for the family owner Winston Hotel chain Derek Winston, and real estate agent Amanda Franklin. TURN ME ON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary, although I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion. SOME BACKGROUND: The Fix on Sixth, a local Austin hangout and bar, is in desperate need of renovations and a quick influx of cash so a plan is put into motion, by a group of regulars, a plan that includes a Man of the Month calendar competition, a recipe book, and a reality show aimed at rehabbing the bar. NOTE: TURN ME ON is a bit of a departure from the series in that most of the events and story line take place in the months prior to the Man of the Month competition, celebrations and current events. Told from dual third person perspectives (Amanda and Derek) TURN ME ON follows the building relationship and atypical arrangement between Austin real estate agent Amanda Franklin, and hotel developer Derek Winston of the Winston Hotel chain. Derek’s once monthly visits to Austin comes with the side benefit of real estate agent Amanda Franklin, a woman he met on one of his visits to Austin, Texas. Neither one looking for a permanent relationship but an unspoken commitment for the foreseeable future finds Derek and Amanda agreeing to a once –monthly meet up when Derek comes to town. As the months pass, they will each reconsider their ‘casual’ arrangement as they struggle with jealousy, resentment and loneliness in the absence of one another. Derek will battle his father for his independence and the potential future of the Winston Boutiques division, as Amanda has second thoughts about their current arrangement. We are introduced to Derek’s best friend Jared Ingram-a man who struggles with his own demons; Derek’s sister Mellie, and their father Anthony Winston who has little faith in his son’s personal affairs or friendship with Jared Ingram. TURN ME ON is a sexy, provocative and playful story line. The premise is engaging and enjoyable: the romance is sensual and passionate; the characters are captivating and engaging.

Amanda and Derek are both career driven individuals. Their chance encounter at The Fix on Sixth leads to an incredible night which turns into hook-ups each time Derek is in town. As Amanda is working to rebuild her real estate career, she doesn’t want any distractions, yet Derek keeps entering her thoughts. Derek has a different challenge as he works to take on more responsibility in his family’s business but wanting to blaze his own trail. His connection to Amanda is something he never expected. Can these two strong-willed, determined individuals find a path to happiness together? Another fabulous installment to the Man of the Month series.

Turn Me On is the seventh book in the ‘Man of the Month’ series by J. Kenner. It’s Amanda and Derek’s story. Amanda is Jenna best friend. She met Derek a year ago, and they hit it off right away, and had hottest sex of their lives that same night. Derek didn’t live in Austin, and neither were interested in a committed relationship, but still wanted to see the other again. They agreed to hook up, each time Derek was in town, which was basically once a month. This carries on for a year, as their ‘non-relationship’ grows deeper and deeper, though neither of them would admit it if asked. Both of them had pasts they’d rather forget about. Amanda told herself she was happy that Derek only visited once a month as she had other things demanding her time, like her stilted career. A year later, when Derek finally becomes based in Austin full time, he decides he wants more from Amanda. He wants a full relationship. Moving from friends with benefits to committed and exclusive might be what they both truly want, but will they have the courage to move into that next phase? We saw how they were during this long distance dalliance but how will they handle day to day normal stuff. Amanda has been badly burned by her ex  and doesn’t want to commit to anything like that again. Derek, has some baggage from his past as well, but he’s ready now. Watching their relationship develop over the year was a nice change but even so, this story had some pretty intense moments. Derek was hot. Amanda was sassy and spicy. They made a great couple and it really enjoyed reading about them, and then getting just a little taste of the next month’s guy.

So this was a different take on the Man of the Month series. Instead of seeing a relationship form over a short time, Derek and Amanda have been seeing each other for a year. While that may only be once a month, they're slowly starting to come to the realization that they both want more. Derek is the first to realize it, but will he scare off Amanda if he pushes too hard, too quickly? While the time jumps did take some getting used to, I appreciated that Kenner was helping us see that this was a slow burn. It wasn't insta-love. Instead, it was a drawn out affair with short bursts of intense heat and a lot of talking in between visits. I think I would have liked to see a few of their conversations while they were kept apart, just so we could keep up, but I was invested in them. I wanted them to get together and I wanted them to settle in. Well done, Kenner. I'm truly loving this series and it looks like the next one is a little bit suspenseful...I'm excited! :)

This "Man of the Month" keeps getting better and better. Amanda, cute, funny and does not want a serious relationship (due to being burned in the past). Derek, sexy, hot, smart and not looking for anything permanent. But as the say goes when you least expect it, expect it. These too are amazing together. A sexy, heart felt story you will not be able to put down. Cannot wait for next month!!!

Every month we get a scrumptious Man of the Month book. Derek and Amanda are off the charts fantastic together! These book are complete standalone stories yet the entire series is worth the read! Can broken promises turn you off to love? Yes. Will there ever be a man that will show Amanda what it truly means to be a forever mate? You’ll have to read Turn Me On to find out. Julie Kenner has me hooked. Her descriptive writings always pulls me in and begging for more. A fabulous read.

Title: Turn Me On Author: J. Kenner Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance Format: Ebook - ARC Pages: 250 Rating: 5 Heat: 5 Thoughts: Hello Derek!! Another drool worthy man of the month that you can’t help but want to claim as a book boyfriend. What’s really fun about this one is that we get to see some different POV’s of some scenes from previous books since this one technically starts before book 1 of the series. Don’t worry though, if for some weird reason you don’t read the series you won’t be lost. There wasn’t as much about the bar in this one which was somewhat of a bummer but made sense due to the timeline. Plus these characters aren’t as involved with the bar like the other characters so far. I really liked that it was a bit different by not having so much focus on the bar. The main focus was the journey to the HEA and it was awesome! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

Another good story in this series. This story spans over a year of Derek and Amanda's relationship as they meet and have a monthly standing hook up. Derek decides he wants to much more, but can he convince Amanda? As with the rest of the series, this is a shorter book. You will see a lot of the characters you have seen throughout the series. Amanda and Derek's relationship starts before Jenna moves back home and gets together with Reece, so we see a lot of the characters who have now found their person as single people. The story kept me entertained and we have met another man of the month. Can't wait for the next one!
