Turning up the Heat by Erika Wilde

Radio personality Kerri McCree really likes sex. Talking about sex, that is . . .

Kerri knows firsthand that you can hide a lot behind a microphone. Although she's earned a reputation for discussing every aspect of sex on her show, she's never had to back it up . . . until a sexy mystery caller proves to be even more irresistible in person.

Ian Carlisle is immediately intrigued by the sultry voice he hears on the late night radio show, and it doesn't take him long to arouse Kerri's imagination with his dirty talk. Now he's turning up the heat and seducing the rest of her.  Their on-the-air chemistry sizzles and they heat up the airwaves, debating any and all provocative issues possible. As the ratings soar, so does the sexual tension.

But will Ian do when he discovers Kerri's not the sex expert she professes to be?

Kerri and Ian are a SCORCHING couple. This book takes everything that I love and enjoy about Erika Wilde's books and adds in a new and exciting flavor. The premise could quite easily be one we've all read before, but with an incomparable chemistry that Kerri and Ian achieve even outside of one another's presences, a strong emotional storyline in Ian's character's past, and a battle of wills with Kerri, this hot and steamy book adds in a level of complexity and relatability that kept me flipping pages until the very end. Definitely a must-read for me. It's sexy. Excellent writing. Lovable characters. Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

What a hot, steamy and wonderful romance story Erika Wilde wrote with Turning Up the Heat. Radio personality Kerri McCree has seen the damage caused to a woman being dependent on a man, especially from an abusive one. Her job as a nighttime talk radio host allows her to talk about all aspects of sex, which she loves to do, even though she is not a sex expert. Ian Carlisle had a rough childhood but was fortunate to be treated as a member of the Winslow family while he dated their daughter and after her death. Lonely and at loose ends he begins to listen to the Heat Waves, Kerri’s radio show, calling in to discuss and challenge the host. These two had a definite on air chemistry and Ian wanted to take it off the air, dating Kerri, showing her what dating a real man could be like. Kerri realized that she and Ian shared more than just a “hot, sizzling chemistry … giving their relationship a depth she’d never anticipated.” I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Wilde wrote wove a wonderful story, with desire, fear, anxiety, love, as well some steamy, hot sex. She drew me in and did not let go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Turning up the Heat is a great read and I enjoyed since the very first page! It is hot, sexy and an easy read! Ian and Kerri are explosive together and their chemistry is off the charts. Ian is very sexy but at the same time he can be tender and sweet. Kerri is insecure and Ian knows how to help her. The plot is interesting and well written. Nice read! Highly entertaining!

Fun loving story about radio talk show host Kerri McCree and her interaction with nightly caller Ian Carlisle. Kerri is the voice behind Heat Wave in Chicago, a sexy talk show that discusses sex, love, what a women/man wants, etc. Ian's nightly calls pushes Kerri and really heats up the radio waves, and Kerri. Great second chance love story that will make you laugh, cry, and just keep reading until you find out how Kerri and Ian come together. I loved reading this book when it was first published in paperback, and truly enjoying reading it again. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

So freaking good! Kerri is a talk radio host who loves to talk about sex, even if she is not as experienced as she should be to talk about all she is does. Ian stumbles across her show one night and he is hooked and starts calling in and they have great chemistry on air. Great seduction across the airwaves but will it lead to even more when then meet face to face? These two are great together and the chemistry keeps the pages turning and burning! I highly recommend this one. **Received this ARC for review**

ARC for honest review with no compensation Turning Up the Heat by Erika Wilde was a totally hot, sexy read just like her other books! ! Kerri and Ian jump off the pages of this book with their banter and sexy talk though they haven’t met… Kerri is a late night radio talk personality who gets her listeners to call in an discuss all things involved in a relationship, sex, fidelity, family, etc. until she has the same caller every night…Ian is that caller, who has a deep sexy voice that Kerri swoons over and he has fallen in love with her voice too. For weeks they have in depth conversations on the air as a way to get to know each other...and while all this is going on the radio station may be sold if they can’t bring in more advertisers to keep the station going. During one conversation he challenges her to meet him and they begin a series of dates that they broadcast on air…but insecurities from her past relationships sets in and she pulls away from Ian who realizes this but can he show her how to let go of the insecurities and let their feelings grow ????

Erika Wilde is known for Turning Up the Heat, so this story is aptly named. It's a slow, sensual buildup meant to tease and tantalize, and it does that and more. Watching this sweet, highly-skilled hero coax the cautious heroine to open up to new experiences and ultimately love was highly exhilarating. 3.5 stars

Erika Wilde is a freak of nature!!! And I mean that in the BEST way possible!!! I simply ADORED this book!!! The incredible chemistry between Kerri and Ian was EXPLOSIVE and I was CAPTIVATED by this story from start to finish....I just couldn't put it down!!! It's FILLED with ALL THE FEELS...from the ADDICTIVE banter to the sweet and tender emotions to the INTENSE, HOTTER-THAN-HOT sex scenes...I LOVED it all and I didn't want this beautiful, fun and sexy story to end! When Ian Carlisle becomes a regular caller on Kerri McCree's late-night talk show about sex, the sexual tension between them SCREAMS off the pages!!! It was so HAWT, so SEXY, it had me fanning myself and wishing I had an Ian to call my very own! Kerri hides her very limited experience with all things sexual well....or so she THINKS! When they embark on a series of "dates" for the radio show, things only get even HOTTER and MORE intense!!! As the story unfolds, I totally and completely fell in love with Kerri and Ian and my emotions were all over the place with each revelation! At one point, I thought my heart would shatter with the decision Kerri comes to! Even the supporting characters in this book were well-developed and I can TOTALLY see a spin-off with Kerri's best friend Carly (sassy, spunky and I wish I had a friend like her!) Bravo Erika on another CRAZY good, MUST READ love story that I would recommend to anyone!!! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next!

What an enjoyable read. Kerri and Ian meet during a night time radio show where they take their steamy on air connection, off air. Ian is charming and a total catch. Kerri isn't looking for a relationship and doesn't want to rely on any man for anything. I loved getting to know Ian in this story. He is such a great book boyfriend and I couldn't imagine anyone more perfect. Kerri has been burned in the past and hasn't had the best role models for relationships, so it takes her a while to see what a gem Ian truly is. The writing and the story were good. I loved Ian's character, as I said he is the perfect book boyfriend. Kerri made me want to knock some sense into her LOL, but I could see where her issues stemmed from. This was a good read and the chemistry between the two was off the chart.

WOW! What a totally swoon worthy story. Ian is my new book boyfriend. He was so sweet and sexy as well as patient and oh so giving. He was definitely an expert in foreplay. My temperature absolutely rose reading about Ian and Kerri. Their chemistry was off the charts and all their "mind sex" was really fun. There were a few emotional moments that really added some depth to the characters and what they went through. All the characters were really great people. I loved them all. I really loved the premise of the story too. An absolutely fun and steamy story that I just want to read again and again. *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book*

If you're looking for a book that has a super sexy build up and a big payoff, this is it! I absolutely loved this story! Ian and Kerri had so much chemistry (sexual and otherwise) that I was hooked. It kept me enthralled in the story line and made me excited to watch them get their happily ever after. The only thing that I wished the ending had lasted a little longer. ;) Happy reading!!

Brave, bold and sexy. Erika Wilde goes there. She tackles subjects that not many dare to touch, but all dare to experience. Turning Up the Heat is the latest in a long line of taboo, yet entertaining novels. A character like Kerri could have only been written by an author like Ms. Wilde. She personifies brash and splash, but behind the shock value lies an insecure woman. Ian is everything, Kerri displays to the world, but is afraid of becoming. Turning Up the Heat hits on some serious issues while tempting with humorous dialogue and irresistible characters. Through characters like Ian and Kerri, Ms. Wilde is saying it's okay to be a little different as long as we're true to ourselves.
