Brooke was lucky to be adopted. She loves her movie star brother, Dylan and runs a successful business. Unfortunately her love life sucks. On the way to her friends wedding a minor inconvenience turns into a chance meeting with widower, Wyatt, a successful rancher and father of twins. I enjoyed their relationship. Sometimes fate puts your soulmate in your path and you have to hold on even if the timing might not be right. I liked Wyatt's mother and the adorable twins too.

Twins for the Texan by Charlene Sands is a part of the Billionaires and Babes series by Harlequin Desire. I’ve read all of the books in this series and Twins for the Texan was a fabulous addition. I loved this book from the outset. Brooke McKay is stranded on the side of the road when Wyatt Brandt pulls up. They are both headed to the same wedding although Wyatt is only going through the motions. It’s his late wife’s birthday, and he is grieving after losing his wife in a freak accident. What starts out as an innocent evening turns into a one-night stand that he can’t get forget. It takes some time, but eventually they end up back together but Brooke is afraid to tell him about her pregnancy since he pretty much told her that he was through having children. I loved watching Brooke deal with trying to tell Wyatt about her pregnancy along with how Wyatt dealt with Brooke’s presence as his pretend nanny. I highly recommend Twins for the Texan as I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. I’d like to disclose that I received a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Brooke McKay cannot believe her luck when she gets lost on the way to her friend’s wedding. It gets worse when she runs out of gas but this could be where her luck changes. She is rescued by a sexy cowboy named Wyatt Brandt. They spend a magical evening and night together only to have Brooke wake up alone when Wyatt leaves without waking her. He does, however, leave behind a surprise. When Brooke resolves to tell him, she learns he is the father of twins and is still grieving the loss of his wife. She is not sure when or how to reveal her little secret. Wyatt is an amazing hero, a wonderful father and an incredible lover. Brooke cannot help but fall in love but she is not sure Wyatt is ready for more. The path to true love is never easy and this one has more than a few rocks to navigate. The story unfolds magnificently as Brooke helps Wyatt by serving as the nanny for his children. He accepts her help and hopes for some more time in other areas as well. It was also nice to visit with Brooke’s brother and her best friend. Charlene Sands knows how to capture us and keep us reading until the last word.
