About the Author

Peter Hann was born in Alresford, Hampshire and grew up in Petersfield. He has lived in Southampton, Gloucestershire, Suffolk and West Sussex before retiring to Kent. Married to Suzan, they have a son and a daughter. Always interested in family and local history Peter Has become an unofficial archivist of his family holding many documents and photographs dating back to the early twentieth century. Two Hampshire Families, Hann / Hiscock is the story of two families, brought together by marriage, during the period from the mid nineteenth century to the twenty first century. From very different backgrounds we folllow members of each family through hardship, wartime tragedy, country living and commitments to their own religious and social beliefs. Peter Hann has lived in Kent for three years following his retirement from the building services industry where he was a project manager. He also spent ten years in management positions within the passenger transport industry. Peter has been married to Suzan for fourty four years and they have a son, James and a daughter, Lee together with grandchildren Sofia and Miguel. Joint interests are architecture, transport, gardening. walking, day excursions and time with the grandchildren.
