Aiden needs Charlie to help him, and it is a huge favor. When Aiden ask she tells him no but then she agrees. Lines become blurred for her. Aiden begins to show her the real him the good and bad. Charlie also learns things about her father. I can’t wait for the next book.

The plot thickens in the fifth story of Katee Robert's mob family series. There's been enough backstory to this point that I'd hesitate to recommend this one as a standalone though the main romance is unique with a new character that is outside of the 'usual' Boston/New York family mafia circles. Charlotte 'Charlie' is an ex-cop who was framed by dirty cops loyal to Dmitri Romanov (resident Russian mob boss who is a thorn in the side of the O'Malley family). She now works in a bar, is a resident poker expert, and just so happens to be the daughter of an active FBI officer, John Finch, with whom Aiden O'Malley's younger brother Teague has been revealing family secrets. Aiden is trying to keep his family safe especially with an unknown quantity, a mother/daughter team, known for their ruthlessness and unpredictability. Aiden has a deal for Charlie - pretend to be his fiancee and they can take down Romanov, enabling her to get her revenge for how she lost her job. An ex cop and a mob boss make an unlikely pair but can their plan lead to something even better for them both? This one ties with book 1 as my favorites for the series! I loved the unknown quantity of Charlie and the pairing of an ex-cop and a mob boss. Charlie has no qualms about joining up with Aiden to get revenge on the man who is responsible for her losing her job (and getting beaten in the offing). She's strong, smart and able to think quickly on her feet. Aiden offers her fabulous sex and an inside look into the 'other side', one that isn't so black and white in terms of good or bad. Aiden is flawed but loyal and he views every action as to how it will affect his family and their reputation. Sometimes this means making tough decisions that aren't the best for the individual person but keep the family safe. Case in point, his younger sister Keira - she's a major figure in this story as there is an 'engagement' between her and Dmitri that Aiden is using a ploy for a bigger plan, only to discover complications that change everything. There is a lot of action, lots of sex, and major plot developments that have this story careening onto the upcoming finale. Charlie and Aiden get their happy ending (though Aiden had to redeem himself for changing the game without letting Charlie know all the details). Excited to finish this series!

Undercover Attraction by Katee Robert is the fifth book in her The O'Malley's series. I was beyond excited for Aiden's story. Prior to this revealing tale he was the cold oldest brother and heir to the O'Malley empire in Boston. Despite what he has allowed his siblings to believe he does care and he does have a heart, what he cannot do is afford to let it show. Not at all in any part of his life. When he pulls in ex-cop Charlotte Finch to be his fake fiancee for the next stage in his plan he gets so much more than he expected from the bargain. It may have started out as an agreement with mutually beneficial end results but it ends as wonderful romantic tale of the ice King and his Queen overcoming the odds, AND the bad(der) guys to find true love! Enjoy!

Captivating, breathtakingly sexy and a delve into the forbidden! Katee Roberts takes us for a wild ride of lust, revenge and power with her latest book in the mob-filled life of The OMalleys! If you've read previous books in the series, you will definitely recognize the family members and their enemies as they are mentioned, but you can easily pick it up and read it and enjoy it without having read previous ones.  You will miss out on some of the feelings that those earlier books unearthed, but this book is still a strikingly powerful strand-alone! The characters catch our attention and leave us waiting to see if they will become more than friendly enemies ... but the wait doesn't last long! The plot keeps us turning the pages to see what's going to happen and who's going to pay for the crimes that have been committed. It also sets us up nicely for the next story ... I can't wait! Charlotte Finch was living the life she'd always dreamed of as an NYPD cop and fulfilling her family destiny, until one day the rug was pulled out from under her when she was set up by her fellow boys in blue to take a fall and be coined a dirty cop. Nothing she said or did helped her once she was wrongly labeled. Now she's just living day by day burning up inside from the injustice. When she's approached by a man she knows for a fact is one of the most dangerous in all of Boston, she truly hesitates before she agrees to his plan ... but when someone is offering her the chance at revenge for the man that took her down, how can she really resist?? Aiden O'Malley has been running the family ever since his Dad stepped down and went out of town to regroup. He's making enemies in and out of the family, but no matter how much he cares for his siblings, he has to do things that he doesn't want to do in order for the good of the overall family and organization. Bringing Charlie home as his make believe fiancee is going to set off fireworks for sure, but if she can help him set up the take-down off the century on the enemy who has his sights set on his little sister, it will all be worth it! What he doesn't expect however, is her to turn him upside down and have him wishing with all of his might that he could keep her as his very own!

"I might be letting you call the shots right now, but that doesn't extend outside the bedroom door." "Wrong...I'm going to keep us both alive, bright eyes, and that means I call the shots and you obey, no matter how much taking orders from me chafes." As a fan of romantic suspense, I am absolutely in love with The O'Malleys series by author Katee Roberts. These are characters that I shouldn't like, but how could I not? Three crime families, at odds with each other, yet inextricably entwined with each other. Love, honor, and commitment are the flip side of violence, corruption, and passion, and these books just keep getting better and better. Aiden O'Malley has been the dark horse of the series for me. Having stepped in to fill the shoes of his retired/deposed father, he's done his share of things in the name of making the O'Malley's the reigning crime family in Boston that have driven his family apart. With new players on the scene, Aiden seeks out Charlie Moreaux to help keep the balance of power in his favor. How was he supposed to know that the game that they were playing would bring higher stakes than he'd expected? Charlie is awesome. She is the perfect match for Aiden, in every way. She's been burned before, and she's not going to allow herself to be the weak one ever again, and she's more than happy to keep him on his toes, all while bringing a balance to the O'Malley's that they didn't think they'd ever get back. To say that Aiden's and Charlie's story is passionate and steamy is an understatement (seriously, someone, hand me a fan...), but there are deeper layers at play here, and I really enjoyed the way that their story unwound. Neither one is about to back down, but Aiden's gotten more than he'd bargained for in Charlie, and all of the O'Malleys will be the better for it. UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION is action-packed, and a real page turner, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Although the books are all standalones, it's helpful to have read the other books so that you have an understanding of the politics at play, and the alliances that have been forged. Now, with Aiden paired off, I can't wait to see what happens with Keira O'Malley and Dmitri Romanov, because it is sure to be a fiery, passionate, edge of your seat read. In the meantime, 4.5 HEA mob-boss stars for Aiden and Charlie. This is a series not to be missed, and fans of the mafia read will want it at the very top of their TBRs.

Dirty words, dirty words. Yes, lots of them. Oh, my word. *fans self* Seriously. This is one of the hottest books that I’ve read in a long time. And get this, there is a great plot to go with it. Plus, come on its Charlie and Aiden. I fell in love with this family a long time ago and the series just gets better and better. In fact, I can’t wait to see what happens with the “villain” Dmitri in the next book. Yes, you heard that right. If you don’t have a clue about the series, it’s about a family of mobsters in Boston and how they deal with the business and the partners that they find along the way. Fiercely loyal and will betray even themselves but Ms. Roberts has written the series that every nuisance, word, emotion, betrayal, and character makes sense. I normally don’t read mobster books. I know, it is another sub-genre that I just don’t “get” but don’t mess with my O’Malley’s. But what truly draws me into the series is how intense driven it is. Most times I’m holding my breath and only exhale when there are smexy times. I can finally relax and feel the emotions between Charlie and Aiden. Plus, Aiden is just plain dirty. *growl* Charlie and Aiden fight their attraction but that’s what makes it so sweet in the end. They can truly be themselves with each other when they can’t with other people. Aiden has been the mystery man to me throughout the series and I’m so glad that I got to know him now. Charlie is just too cool. I loved how she had to decide what shade of gray she believed in with everything that had happened to her. Seeing the other couples and how they are doing is great, too. I love it when an author doesn’t forget about them and gives you an update. Don’t worry about reading the other books first. This one does stand alone but you might be reaching for the one-click button afterward. Trust me on this. Overall, again, I can’t get enough of this series and I’m so looking forward to the magic that Ms. Robert’s is going to have to weave with Kiera and Dmitri. If you have read the series, you will understand what I mean.

“He had her–hook, line, and sinker. She just didn’t know it yet. Aiden just had to reel her in.” “The man was an inferno. One wrong step and he’d incinerate her.” The O’Malley’s are back again with another thrilling read. Told from multiple points of view, we finally get our hands on Aiden’s story. Aiden is cool and controlled at all times and in all things. But, when he meets Charlie, all bets are off. She challenges every bit of his control….Charlie used to always see clearly what was right and what was wrong. That was until her fellow officers betrayed her and showed her that things are never so black and white. So, when Aiden offers her a chance at justice, she can’t help but go along. She knows what’s at stake and what she’s getting into. Will Charlie get the justice she’s seeking? Will the fire between Aiden and Charlie prove to be too hot? There’s only one way to find out…. Overall, I thought this book was a really great read. It pulled me in from the very first page and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved Aiden and Charlie together. I thought the two of them had some amazing chemistry and I loved the interactions between the two of them. The sparks between them were undeniable. You knew they were playing with fire and that the burn would be oh so good. I couldn’t wait to see how things would play out between the two of them. As with the other novels, Undercover Attraction had a great story-line. It was suspenseful and entertaining. It captivated and intrigued me. I loved the danger and fire of the story and all the delicious twists and turns. There was never a dull moment and I just couldn’t get enough. Honestly, I just love this world and the characters. They are complex, dangerous and sexy as hell. Each book more thrilling than the next. I look forward to seeing what this author has in store for us next.

the o'malley series continues with undercover attraction. as do the political mind games between the three boston mob families and the feds and dmitri romanov. aiden is the acting head of the o'malleys and he's determined to set a trap for romanov. but everything is a delicate game. a deadly game, because one wrong move can get people killed. aiden underestimates the danger he's courting to trap dmitri. and as much as he is trying to save his sister, keira, he's going about it all wrong. charlie and aiden's story is perfectly fine, i liked it. they had good chemistry and i'm glad they figured out what they wanted. charlie is the one person who is able to see who aiden is deep down. and as ruthless as he is, he cares deeply for his family. he cares deeply for charlie. and he's trying to do the right thing for everyone. but, here's the thing, and this was true in sloan's book too. keira and dmitri, the dance they're doing is the most interesting thing about this story. she is so broken. she's like a baby bird with clipped wings that won't fly. and dmitri is lethal. he might be the cat determined to eat the bird. but he also might be the one thing that saves her. the one thing that sets her free. and i'm absolutely dying to read their story. it has to be next. there's no one else left, and all roads lead to this one story. i can't wait. **undercover attraction published on november 28, 2017. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/grand central publishing (forever) in exchange for my honest review.

This book involves two very hard nosed individuals that appear to have nothing in common. Oh wait a small white lie. They have hot, hot, hot chemistry in the bedroom. Yep I am saying smoking hot. I really enjoyed how Charlotte and Aiden struggled to be the one in charge since both of them are dominant personalities. And it was enlightening how the author portrayed both of them starting to see the other in another light while allowing them to to be true to their personal belief systems. The author's skill is notable as she further expanded their personalities to show a deeper more caring and loving person on both their parts. Once again and throughout this whole series the action drama held me mesmerized till the last page. The reader will be pleased with how this ends and how justice was handed out to satisfy both parties. The ending introduces what I hope is the next book to this series leaving the reader anticipating the climactic confrontation between Dmitri and Keira. This book gets 5 STARS for keeping me glued to the pages in anticipation.

It took a while for me to really get into Undercover Attraction--the reasons for Aiden and Charlie's fake relationship felt pretty flimsy, and they jumped so quickly into a physical relationship that it made all of their protests and posturing about "how things were going to go" look a bit silly. But once things really got started--with the myriad of opposing forces swirling ever closer and Charlie's attempts bringing Aiden's wayward siblings back into the fold, not to mention their gradual growing feelings for each other (their early sex scenes had me rolling my eyes a bit, I won't lie. But the later ones? Blew. My. Socks. Off.) and the ever-tightening danger around them--I was well and truly hooked. OMG, this series--just when I was almost ready to write this book off, it grabbed me by the neck and wouldn't let go. Undercover Attraction involves all of the characters from the other series books, and though one probably could read it on its own it would definitely have more of an impact if you've read the others too--better to understand the family dynamics; plus, it's so much fun to see where everyone's ending up after time has gone by. But don't even think about reading this one and stopping--because where Ms. Robert leaves us with the whole Keira/Dmitri drama? It's just darn cruel. February seems an awfully long time away... Rating: 4 stars / A- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

4.25 stars-intriguing, captivating, engaging 4.25 stars--UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION by Katee Robert is the fifth instalment in the author’s contemporary, adult THE O’MALLEYS erotic, mafia, romantic suspense series focusing on three warring underground families of the Boston’s Irish mob (O’Malleys, Hallorans & Sheridans), the Russian mafia run by the Romanov family, and new contenders for the Boston territory Alethea and Mae Eldridge. This is the head of the O’Malley clan Aiden O’Malley, and former police officer Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Finch’s story line. UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as there is a continuing theme running throughout. Told from several third person perspectives including Aiden and Charlie UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION follows the fake engagement /fiancée trope between former police officer Charlotte Finch, and the acting head of the O’Malley family Aiden O’Malley. Charlotte Finch knows pain, and the fall out of coming clean to the people in charge but vengeance against Dimitri Romanov of the Boston Russian mob has our heroine agreeing to play ‘fiancee’ to the alpha leader of the O’Malley clan. While Aiden appears to disregard his family’s advice, our hero struggles to set into motion a plan to take down everyone threatening the people he loves and management of the territory the family controls. What ensues is the building love and relationship between Aiden and Charlie, and the potential fall out when Charlie is taken hostage by the new players in town. UNERCOVER ATTRACTION follows several paths including the fractured dynamics of a once proud and controlling Boston mafia family. The inter-family pairings finds allegiances changing but love for one another causes rifts in an already crumbling foundation. Aiden’s announcement of a quick engagement threatens the ever-changing O’Malley control but our hero keeps secret the truth behind his hasty involvement with the woman that will soon call to his heart. There are a large number of secondary and supporting characters including most of the O’Malley clan: Teague and Callista O’Malley (The Marriage Contract #1): James Halloran and Carrigan O’Malley (The Wedding Pact #2); Olivia and Cillian O’Malley (An Indecent Proposal #3) and their long, suffering sister Keira O’Malley who struggles with demons of her own; Russian mobster Dimitri Romanov whose need to seek vengeance against the O’Malley and Halloran clans quickly shifts as the Edridges seek to destroy them all; hired men Mark and Liam Neale; Charlotte’s father FBI agent John Finch; and the return of the O’Malley patriarch Seamus O’Malley and his wife. Keira and Dimitri’s story is next in The Bastard’s Bargain. UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION is a story of suspense, family, revenge and love. The premise is intriguing, captivating and engaging; the romance is seductive, erotic and intense; the characters are expressive, charismatic and compelling. UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION looks at the tight knit families of the Boston mob, and the power they exert over the people they love.

First of all, I love the cover "Hot, Damn!" I could look at it all day..... The book, I alway's look forward to an O'Malley release and this one was well worth waiting for. The suspense and sexual tension is in evidence through out this thrilling addition to the O'Malley series as Boston's Mafia crime bosses butt heads again. Aiden O'Malley is now the head of the family, he's determined to keep everyone safe, but some are feeling a little trapped and feelings have been bruised. He's not sorry for how things have to be, but he can't change it, he needs to keep control for every one. A fellow boss, Dmitri Romanov is someone that needs watching closely. He was rejected by Aiden's sister Carrigen when she married someone else, he's now declared his intention's to marry Aiden's younger sister Keira. Aiden is not happy with the union and will do anything to stop it, he wants Dmitri gone for good but he'll needs help. Charlotte Finch is an ex-cop, disgraced when accused of taking bribes, but was never charged. Alone, disowned by her FBI father, Charlie now has managed to pull her life together again but it will never be the same, thanks to Dmitri Romanov. She was falsely connected to the dirty cops that were answering to Romanov and he never came forward, she has never forgotten it. Aiden asks her to play his fake fiancée to act a distraction while he wheels and deals his way to Dmitri's down fall. Charlie can't resist, she'll finally get her justice....or will it be revenge. The chemistry between Charlie and Aiden was hot, hot, hot. They decide to ignore the feelings that were pulsing between them, which doesn't last very long as their attraction can't be denied and they realize that any show of fondling or lust would strengthen their act as a loving couple. Every one seems to be butting against one another, and Romanov - is he to be trusted when asked to help? And what does Keira truly want? Hold on tight for this rollercoaster ride of tension, excitement and hot thrills. The next book is Keira and Dmitri, I can't wait. It's going to be interesting to see how a turn around can be made for bad guy Dmitri.

Another O’Malley book that keeps you turning the pages and wanting more of this dark and gritty series! It’s finally time to learn more about Aiden and the wait was worth it! There isn’t anything this man does that isn’t intense and focused. He wants nothing more than to take care of his family and will stop at nothing, including hurting those he loves, to keep them safe. He’s been setting things in motion for the past year and the time has come to put the final piece in place…which would be getting Charlie to agree to be his fake fiancé, all part of the subterfuge and diversion he needs to bring down his enemies. Charlie would like nothing more than to exact justice, and maybe even a little retribution, on the man responsible for her being painted a dirty cop. Even though she knows she is crossing the line by agreeing to Aiden’s plan, a line that she knows she will more than likely never be able to come back from, her need for justice, and perhaps some redemption, has her quickly agreeing to Aiden’s terms. What she doesn’t count on is finding out that there is more to the mob boss than she expected. And even though things move fast for these two, which is something that I usually don’t care for, their relationship just makes sense in terms of who they are and, probably more importantly, what they are. There was no doubt that Aiden would need a strong woman to complement him, something that Charlie certainly was, but she also showed Aiden that being vulnerable doesn’t also mean giving up your strength. And of course, the heat between these two was off the charts! As with the other books in this series, this one can be read as a stand-alone, but then you will just be kicking yourself for not grabbing the whole series to begin with! And as for that ending…well played, Ms. Robert…bring on that next book!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! This was such a great read! I have read the past books in this series and I have to say I think Aiden and Charlie might be my favorite couple. (Sorry, Teage) This was such an intense read. Trying to figure out what was going to happen with next with the O'Malleys and the other families. Not to mention what was happening between Aiden and Charlie. The tension and chemistry between them was nothing short of Hot. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Aiden and what motivated him. He seemed to be between a rock and a hard place when it came to his family. He was expected to be the head of the family now and yet he wants to make sure his family is safe. He has to conceal his feelings at times so as not to let others know. I really felt bad about everything Charlie had to go through with her job at at the police department and was so happy to see that she was given the chance to make things right. This couple was so sexy and hot. They are definitely meant to be with one another. Awesome read. Ms Robert's has a way of writing a story that just pulls you in and you can't put it down until you find out how everything will turn out. I can not wait for the next book in the series.

Lindas Book Obsession Review of “UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION” by Katee Roberts, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) November, 2017 “UNDERCOVER ATTRACTION” by Katee Roberts BLOG TOUR REVIEW My Review of “Undercover Attraction” by Katee Roberts Which side of the law shows us who the good guys are and who are the bad guys? After reading “Undercover Attraction” by Katee Roberts,I realize that there are many areas that are hard to define. The genres of this novel are Fiction, Suspense, and Contemporary Romance. There also is adventure, danger, twists and turns. There are betrayals, secrets, and intrigue. The blurb on the book says “Scandal. Wealth. Power. Seduction. Welcome to the world of the O’Malleys.” Katee Roberts describes her characters as complicated and complex. This is the world of the Mafia, or “Mob” in Boston. Aiden O’Malley, head of the O’Malley Crime Family approaches ex-cop Charlotte (Charlie) Finch with an intriguing proposal. Charlie has the reputation of being a “bad cop”. Aiden offers Charlie the opportunity to destroy the person responsible for setting her up, which helps the O’Malley family as well. The only catch is that Charlie will have to pretend to be engaged to Aiden, to be able to accomplish this to get the revenge she wants. This is an extremely dangerous world, and the other Mob Families are extremely threatening. Charlie has entered a world where there is no right or wrong, and crime and killing are part of it. There are power struggles, unstable alliances, backstabbing, and adventure. There is lots of steamy sex and romance. Is it possible that Charlie can get used to this different world? I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, love and hope. Although there are other books in this series, this is the only one that I have read, and it can be a stand-alone. I would like to catch up and read about the other characters in the past books, and I look forward to reading more in the author’s next book. I would recommend this book for readers that like Mafia stories with danger, adventure, steamy romance, and intrigue. I would like to thank NetGalley, Forever(Grand Central Publishing) and Katee Roberts for the Advanced Reading Copy for my honest review. This review will be part of “The Undercover Attraction Review Blog Tour” on Lindas Book Obsession on December 1, 2017.

I do think that Aiden is my favorite so far! He's a great character. As usually Katee has outdone herself and has created yet another page-turner in this awesome series. This story is complex, intense and sexy all at the same time just like the characters in it. I literally could't put it down when I read it. Aiden & Charlie have serious chemistry the challenge will be to see if it is more than that. Can a fake engagement turn into something real? Charlie is awesom too! I just love her! She is everything Aiden didn't know he needed. Such a good story! Next...........................................

4.5 out of 5 stars I loved this intense world with all its twists and turns and complicated characters. I was on the edge of my seat as everything played out. Another awesome book in The O’Malleys series! I really liked Aidan and Charlie. I have been so excited to get to know Aidan since book one and I loved seeing the man behind the mask. He’s so in charge and in control, and exudes such a strong presence. Him teaming up with Charlie to be his pretend fiancé was fun and eye opening all at once and I loved seeing that control in him slip thanks to her. Charlie was seriously awesome. I love a strong heroine and she's a tough one. I liked that she was so smart and stood up to Aidan when she needed too. Every layer that peeled back as they fell for each other in the midst of all the drama and tension had me hooked. There are lots of things in play and I loved all the different dynamics. This is told from multiple POVs and I really like all the different perspectives, I felt like it made the story richer. The writing is really good with excellent details. I thought the pace was great. I love all the different crime families involved, there's strain between all of them and this odd respect that I find fascinating. It's like Dynasty but with the mob ! There is drama, violence, and passion. It's a tangled web of awesome! All these things kept the story moving along and had me excited for more. There was also some lightness thanks to some fun moments between Charlie and Aidan that I appreciated. I loved seeing all the O’Malley siblings and how the different situations between them are evolving. They're such a dysfunctional family and it's crazy but it all works in a weird way. So many layers and so much depth, I loved it all! I also loved ever single bit that had to do with Dmitri Romanov. I've been all about the bad Russian mobster since he was introduced so I am thrilled that his story is next with Kierra. This was an awesome addition to the series and I truly enjoyed seeing the softer side to Aidan and I think Charlie is his perfect match. This one will definitely keep you on your toes. It's intense and action packed but also full of heat and love. Solid from beginning to end. Awesome read! Complimentary copy received for honest review.

To save time, can we just agree to give each book in Katee Robert's The O'Malleys series every star we can scrounge up, even if we have to beg, borrow, or steal’em? Seriously, y'all, five just isn’t enough. I'm at a loss for something original to say about this story. Pretty sure I used all the flashy superlatives on the previous books. What tops marvelous or famazing? Katee Roberts has remarkable talent. Her mind must be a brilliant and scary thing to create such complex plotlines with what seems like an endless cast of characters all being moved about like Chess pieces. It wasn't enough to keep track of three separate families intertwined like ivy growing wild; she had to up the stakes in Undercover Attraction. Sinister forces require extensive maneuvering by all the main players from the previous books. I loved seeing them all again and in action with one another. In the previous books Aiden wasn't featured enough for me to get a good read on him. He seemed to be cold and unforgiving, so I wasn't sure how I would react to him as a hero. That impression was destroyed almost immediately. I can say unequivocally that he evokes a warm and tingly response, and he's definitely not cold or as hard as he'd like others to believe. Especially where his family is concerned. Whelp, as with the others, I've developed a total girl crush on Charlie. She quickly earned her rightful place alongside the other strong women in this series. She's a completely fearless badass who—even while inwardly quaking— goes toe-to-toe with anyone trying to hurt her or those she feels protective of. Watching her face down evil was exhilarating and wholly satisfying. I internally cheered more than once. It was obvious in the previous book that there was an immediate, intense chemistry between Aiden and Charlie. It’s an attraction he tries to resist but Charlie fully embraces. Not that Aiden gives her many options. fans self Even when Aiden is resisting they're hot af, but once he succumbs, they literally rock worlds. Coming into this I wasn't too fond of the youngest O’Malley daughter. Keira seemed like an over-indulged kid using her brother's death as an excuse to abuse drugs, alcohol, and party her life away. She plays a large roll in UA, so I got to know her much better. Despite capturing the attention of my man, Dmitri, the “kid” managed to worm her way into my heart with her IDGAF attitude. She really isn’t a kid, by age or life experience, as we’ll soon learn in great detail. I'm equally anxious for and dreading her and Dmitri’s story, which will be a bittersweet conclusion to the series. Undercover Attraction is yet another outstanding, sizzling, action-packed story that immediately sucks you in and doesn't turn you loose until The End. I loved absolutely everything about it.

This was such a great, suspenseful addition the the awesome O'Malleys series. Aiden is such a complicated hero, and I loved finally getting to know him better. Charlie was such a breath of fresh air. She was a sassy, smart heroine, and she was perfect for Aiden. Aiden O'Malley is in a tough spot. He's taken over the family business, albeit reluctantly, and while trying to keep the family safe, he's trampled on some of his siblings' feelings, and even their freedom. They don't thank him for it. And they don't know how much he wishes things could be different. But, he has to keep control at all times, to keep everything from falling apart. Things are very precarious, with one of the family's enemies, Dmitri Romanov. After Aiden's sister, Carrigan, spurned their engagement, Dmitri declared that he wanted to marry Aiden's youngest sister, Keira, instead. Aiden has decided that will happen over his dead body. He wants to take out Romanov for good, but he needs help. And he thinks he's found it in Charlotte Finch. He just has to convince her to be his fake fiancee. Charlotte Finch is a disgraced ex-cop. Accused of taking bribes, she was ousted from her department, though no charges were ever filed. Her FBI agent father, who has dedicated his life to taking down organized crime, has all but disowned her, and her life was in a constant downward spiral. 2 years later, she's finally pulled herself together, but she knows her life won't ever be the same, and she blames one man: Dmitri Romanov. Dirty cops who answered to him were responsible for her predicament, and she hasn't forgotten it. When Aiden finds her and asks for her help, she can't help but want justice for what happened to her. Or is it revenge? Two sides of the same coin, right? Aiden and Charlie have red hot chemistry from the start. They both intend to fight it, until they realize giving in to it plays into their charade, and makes their sudden engagement more believable. Then, all bets are off. The lines between real and pretend start to blur, once sex comes into play, and their connection leaves both of them grappling for solid ground. Meanwhile, they're playing a game of cat and mouse, with Romanov, as well as with Aiden's family, and other scary players in the NY and Boston mob underworld. How long before it all comes crashing down, and who would survive the fallout? I really loved the connection between Aiden and Charlie. They could be truly themselves with each other, in a way they could never be with anyone else in their lives. It took a while for them to realize what that really meant, but I loved watching them get there. This series has been such a joy to read, and I've loved each and every book. There's been action, drama, suspense, love, hate, violence, revenge, death, and forgiveness. There has been something exciting around every turn, and I am truly looking forward to the final book in the series, with Dmitri and Keira. How can someone who's been a villain through 5 books become a hero we can love and root for? I can't wait to find out.

In Undercover Attraction we get Aiden O’ Malley and Charlie Moreaux. Aiden propositions Charlie to be his fake fiancé to help him take down Dmitri Romanov, a russian crime lord who wants Aiden’s sister, Kiera. Aiden and Charlie both have reasons for wanting to take down Dmitri, but find that they may have to work with him against another worse threat. Alethea and Mae Eldridge are sadist and have no honor. When Mae threatens Charlie, Kiera and Carrigan, they will soon learn they have gone too far. I find another series I wish I had known about when book 1 came out. I love the brilliant way Katee Robert has intertwined all these characters within this series. So many characters with intriguing stories of their own. Aiden being the head of one of the Irish organized crime families paired with Charlie, who is a former cop was an interesting pairing. Not only was the plot of the story exciting, so was the dynamics of each and every player in this series. I’m not sure if I had read the previous books first if I would feel differently about Dmitri but I actually really liked him in this book. He’s ruthless, but Kiera is his weakness. I think their book is going to be incredible. I’m so glad I read this book! ARC provided by NetGalley. Characters of interest in this book and overall series. Undercover Attraction is the perfect blend of suspense, action and sexy times. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest installment in the O'Malleys saga. I loved finally getting to see a different side of Aiden. The saying still waters run deep is a very apt description of him. I really enjoyed watching him and Charlie fall for each other. I loved their clashes just as much as their filthy times. I cannot wait to read the last book in the series. I know it's going to be epic because of certain things that went down in this one. I definitely recommend it to those who love family sagas mixed with suspense, action and the mafia. Copy provided by publisher through Net Galley

I loved the first three books in the O'Malley's series. The last book was a misstep for me but I was eager to see what Katee Robert would do with Aiden's story. We've been given an idea of who Aiden is as the head of the family and I wanted to know whether we really knew who he was. Now that I've read it, I'm still not sure who Aiden is. He didn't match the seemingly cold, ruthless man we'd been given in the previous four books. He made hard decisions to protect his family but I wasn't clear on whether his cold reputation was fairly earned or an act. Charlie, on the other hand, was an interesting character through and through. She was wounded by her past and determined to get her revenge against Dmitri Romanov for setting her up. She doesn't resist Aiden for long but once she gives into their relationship, she sees another side of him and it was heartwarming to see Aiden have someone believe the best of him. It was a bit of a logic leap to believe in their insta-love but that's more because I'm not much of an insta-love fan. Even so, while Aiden and Charlie didn't make sense on paper and have a lot to figure out, I really liked them together. There are two ways to read this series. As a contemporary romance, you'll find an idealized, romanticized view of mafia family and relationships. You'll find gloss and token references to the seedy underbelly. As a mafia romance, you'll be disappointed by the lack of grit and reality. Because Aiden has been built up in the first four books as this cold, methodical mobster, I went into this hoping for a mafia romance. But I got a contemporary romance—which is what the series really is and I'm not sure why I hoped otherwise. The first three books, from my recollection, did not shy away from the bad things the heroes or heroines did in the name of the mafia. James, in particular, did some pretty awful things in The Wedding Pact and that's what made the redemptive arc so powerful. So I was ready to learn more about the tough calls Aiden had made and see how he would be redeemed. However, we get a very idealized, restrained Aiden. He's working behind the scenes to orchestrate the downfall of his enemies. I was tracking with this but that's all it ever was. There was a lot of talk about holding on to power and Aiden being ruthless and a monster but we never get to see why Aiden has that reputation. Look, as the head of a mob family, surely your hands get more than dirty. The mafia depiction wasn't the most realistic this time around. There were a number of moments when Aiden and Charlie are more distracted by how they are for each other than getting killed, which was not realistic for the situations they were in. Chemistry is chemistry but staying alive and aware of your surroundings is a wee bit more important. And since Aiden is the head of a mafia family and Charlie used to be a cop, I couldn't believe they wouldn't be more aware of the big picture. Despite this, Undercover Attraction is a solid addition to the series. It moved things forward in the overarching plot of the series. We get to see how Aiden wants to be a better brother, instead of always having to put the family's needs first and worrying about power grabs. We get to watch him fall for Charlie against his better judgment and that was worth it. Disclosure: I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
