Understanding Learning Disabilities

Learning disabilities are genetic or neurobiological disorders that alter brain functioning and affect the cognitive processes related to learning. This can interfere with learning basic skills such as reading, writing and math. A learning disability also restricts complex skills such as organization, time planning, abstract reasoning, long or short term memory, and attention.
