Love this series and all the work I have read from Milly Taiden. I loved this book it was great to see an alpha male fight for what he wanted and his alpha female not be the perfect woman. I loved that I can relate the curves the heroines have in this series. Nicole was such a great character. I cannot wait to see what comes next in this series.

Nicole is a strong willed person who is hiding behind her trust issues. She does not know what love feels like. With that she knows she wants Jakes but she does not understand her feelings for him. They flirt with each other and that's as far as it goes until the scenting ceromy. That's when she starts to realize theirs more to it then just caring for Jake.  Jake's been waiting for her to come around to realize they are meant to be together. He's waited long enough for so when Nicole goes to Vegas he decides he was going to finally put an end to this game they been dancing around for years. This is a great read of a man wanting a human and he does not understand what's she wants and a women who is scared to knocked down her wall for the man she loves.

First let me say I am a huge fan of Ms Taiden. However, I also happen to be a very demanding reader. Because I have seen the potential in this author, I tend to be more exacting about the reviews and more stingy with the 5 stars. That is so not a problem here. Let's get something straight, Unexpectedly Mated is book 3 in the Sassy Mates series. Can they be read as stand alone novels? Sure. Should they be? I wouldn't advise it. If you do not read the first book, you will be completely lost on the most important detail... why they are all hidden with video cameras spying on the Wolfes in the first chapter to begin with. That being said... To say this book was hot is an understatement. Milly Taiden takes the Sassy Mates out of their comfort zone and right in to Sin City. And we all know what they say about Vegas... What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Who knew Jake was a dirty talking bad boy? Even more surprising... Quietly reserved Nic likes it down and dirty. Wow. The sex was incredibly hot and the chemistry between them explosive, what more could you ask for? Their every interaction cause sparks to fly off the page. As with all Milly Taiden books, there is of course the monkey wrench thrown in to the equation. In this case that comes in two-fold in the shape of Nic's family and another shifter who has decided Nic will be his. Having not 1, but 2 enemies? Even I did not expect that. But of course Taiden made it flow seamlessly. It wouldn't be me if I did not pick a story apart and find something that did not mesh well with me. So here it is... Nic's insistence to refuse to acknowledge her feelings yet expectation that Jake will acknowledge them first... not realistic. When was the last time you saw a man jump in to say the big L word first? The Wolfe men barging in on the Sassy Mates' mini girls getaway to Sin City smacks of controlling men... that's not romantic, that's a bunch of a-holes who need to back off and realize they do not own the women. However, none of this dampened my enjoyment of the book one bit. All I can see is the end? Big, huge, heart pounding, Oh My God, why aren't there real men in the world like this sigh! Did Ms Taiden surpass my expectations? Not at all. If you've read her previous books, you know that Ms Taiden is a phenomenal author that can write stories that will make you sigh and fall in love even as you squirm in your seat and down cold drinks to cool off. I am not the least bit surprised at how great this book is. I fully expected it. With every release she gets better and better and I for one can not wait to see what she comes up with next

When you have never experienced love, how do recognize it, when it’s right in your face? This third instatment of the Sassy Mates series delves into the emotional confusion and self-doubt ingrained bone deep in a beautiful young woman raised in a loveless home. Nicole is more than capable of feeling unquenchable lust for the hot, sexy Alpha wolf, Jake. But her belief that he is nothing more than a womanizer, uninterested in a relationship and with a multitude of women trailing in his wake, seals her resolve that he is unable to commit. For Jake Wolfe, there has been nobody else since Nic walked through his bedroom door; but his determination to allow Nic time and space to confront her feelings, may be the very last thing she needs. In the process of trying to distance herself from the turmoil that is her “whatever it is” situation with Jake; Nic will be forced to face, family deception, life-altering danger, the need to flee and an all-consuming love that she can no longer deny. All the couples that make up the Sassy Mates series are captivating, but I especially loved this pairing. Keep them coming Ms Taiden; this series ROCKS!!!

Jake and Nicole are my new favorite Wolfe couple. The shenanigans and goings-on in this read were great. The surprises in store for this couple in Vegas were well worth the wait. Btw, am I the only one who wants a mom or MIL like Barbara? I think that Milly needs to carve out time to spin out a novella about her and her mates beginnings. It's just a thought.

The third book in the series and it was just as good. I'm already pining for the next one and I pray Milly doesn't keep us waiting long. The sass mouthing wild women and the wonderfully hot wolves trying to keep them safe and in line gives you such an enjoyable read you won't put the book down..... If you haven't started the series grab the first and second book too, Sent of a mate and a mate's bite.... you will love them all!

Wow...Jake Wolfe is down right sexy! Nic and Jake are explosive together and I wanted more! Nic has grown up with out being shown what love is and when the object of her dreams shows her a night of hot, steamy sex, she basically runs! Can Jake show Nic what love is all about and claim his mate? Or, will danger and betrayal take his mate? I love this series and the characters are fabulous! Nic proves her strength in this book and I loved watching her find her way to discovering love!I can't wait to see where this series goes!! Don't miss out, you'll love it!

~ 3 Unexpectedly Mated Stars ~ Unexpectedly Mated is book three in the Sassy Mates series by Milly Taiden. It’s a quick insta-love story with a little action and a whole lot of sexiness. Their is danger, misunderstands, and an unexpected mating Each book is about a different Wolfe brother and their mates who happen to be friends with their sister. Each book has started us off at the mating ceremony, which is explained to us in Scent of a Mate book one. Unexpectedly Mated is about Jake and Nicole. We are given hot and heavy right off the bat, with a whole lot more in between. The insta-love in this story did not work so well for me as it did in previous installments. Jake and Nicole, barely know each other, except for a little flirting here or their as they grew up. They did not try to get together except to spend time having sex. I have to say I did like Jake’s dirty talk. Boy can can he talk dirty. As for the heroine it talks about her inability to deal with her feelings, but there’s barely any interaction between her and Jake, to actually feel like she is dealing with feelings except lust for Jake Unexpectedly Mated had a lot of sex and not much story, but if you like that then this one may work for you.

Nic proved to be almost as strong as any alpha male in more ways than one.  This is a good book with a lot of steamy scenes.

I do have a couple issues. Thr 1st is- I could be a rogue come on Wolfe territory, attack Any of their women/mates and leave town never to be found. Because seriuosly... They Never catch a scent, follow a trail or get the bad guy. After Jordan was attacked like 7 times Karla maced the human and then Jordan got info from Karlas's sister to end that mystery. Now we have Jake.. He marks her and lets 8 weeks go by.... Then you mean to tell me his mate/wife comes back from a Serious beat down & you dont think to ask what happened until the next morning? WTH.... Now, I Love the girls but the Wolfe's are coming across weak. And slight spoiler alert... Dont look for Jake to be the one to take down the wolf that beat down & tried to rape his mate. That being said. This book was hot, has a dirty mouth make wolf & a naughty girl mate.

From the moment that Nicole met Jake Wolfe’s eyes it was lust, love at first sight. For eight years it was the battle of the sexes between the two of them with neither one the winner until the night of the scent ceremony.  Since the night when Jake had claimed her as his mate, eight weeks had passed and Nicole had done her best to avoid him.  She looked at Jake as a player, a man-whore, someone that would never settle for one woman and only one woman.  The fact that he owned a strip club that had women paying shifters to strip really set Nicole’s jealousy button off.  Everything about him made her feel insure and the fact that he had not stated how he felt about her didn’t help at all!  Did they even have a relationship?   Nicole was driving him insane!  He had waited eight years before claiming her as his mate during the scenting ceremony and what good had it done?   She still would not accept him and avoided him at all cost.  He was delegated to watching her from a distance more or less like a stalker.  When he heard that the girls were going to Vegas to get away and relax it sounded like a good idea until he got a call telling him that another man had approached his mate.  Not in this lifetime, he had waited long enough and it was time to complete the mating!   Jake has his hands full convincing his stubborn mate to accept him.  Can Nicole see beyond the surface and see the real Jake?  Will the war that is brewing between some of the shifter factions pour over and drag them under?  Read this action packed, sexy novel and discover the World of the Wolfe family and their feisty mates.   Hero –Jake Wolfe: 4.5 stars Heroine –Nicole Acosta: 4.5 stars Steam: 5 stars  Plot: 4.5 stars  Cliffhanger: No Would I recommend this book: Yes! If you want to read about a strong Alpha female and a sexy hot Alpha male this book is definitely for you! This book is filled with romance, lust, hot sex and conflict between the Alpha male and a sassy female.  Would I recommend this author: Yes! I have read all of Ms. Taiden’s books and cannot wait until her next book hits the book shelves. She writes phenomenal paranormal romance!

Nicole has always wanted Jake but she doesn't think that she has what it takes to be the mate of a shifter. Her family is very cold. They do not love. So she does not know how to love. The only person that she even comes close to loving is her sister. At the scenting ceremony she gets a taste of what Jake has to offer and of his intentions. She does not accept it and keeps Jake at a distance. One drunken night in Vegas changes everything. More then just hers and Jakes relationship takes a turn. Nicole finds out her parents true colors that trip. Jake has wanted Nicole since the first time she walked in on him in all his glory. He has been trying to give her space but at the scenting ceremony he decides enough is enough. But Nicole still tries to keep her distance. When their relationship takes a new turn in Vegas he is determined not to let her go. But will he be able to help her when she needs him the most? My Opinion: And Milly Does it again! Another great sexy read by the smut queen! I absolutely loved it and read it in one sitting. If you want some shifter hotness then this is the book for you. Wonderfully written as always. And Jake is just yummy, of course. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I definitely recommend reading! 'Read and Reviewed by LSK Sweetheart Reviews'

Out of the three books in this series so far, I liked this one the best. Nicole and her best friends have quite a few things in common: they're sassy Latinas, BBW, a non-existent or totally whack relationship with their own family, unfamiliar with love, and all of them have caught the eye of a hunky Wolfe brother. I liked Nicole a lot more than her predecessors for the sole reason that while she tried to deny, run and push away the feelings bubbling up inside of her because of Jake, she was mature enough to know that she had to figure out what she wanted before facing him again. Jake was pretty much like the rest of his brothers: sexy, cute, very sexual, and clueless about the woman he was trying to make his. I have to hand it to them though, instead of pushing them, they back off and give the ladies some space to think, unknowingly leading the ladies to believe they weren't serious to begin with. That led to all kinds of hilarity. In this case, a very drunk Nicole in Vegas at a bachelorette party. The author managed to make the characters sound cheeky and funny without sounding childish (something I couldn't get into with the first two books). There was less suspense in comparison to the others, but even Nicole wasn't safe from someone trying to steal her away or harm her. She handled herself well all on her own, I thought. One reviewer mentioned insta-love and a lack of character development. It wasn't instant. All of these couple have known one another for a few years. For the guys it was instant because they recognized their mates. Seeing as the women were all human, the guys needed to wait for the right time (hence the mating ceremony in book one that kicked off this series). As for a lack of character development, I thought there was just enough. We found out about her first meeting with Jake, we learned about the strong friendship with the other women, her totally whack parents and cool sister, Nicole knew she had issues and with the help of a meddling future mama-in-law, I thought she worked through her defenses. And this was a paranormal EROTIC romance, therefore the romantic relationship developed through sexual interaction - a lot of hot, sweaty, juicy sex. If anal play/sex bothers you, as well as the f-word, the p-word, the c-word, biting, scratching, riding, sucking, etc. then skip it. Don't read it and cry about it later. The Bottom Line This book is great for those of you who love dirty-talking heroes with a side of mutt, curvacious heroines who come into their own when the right men come along and earn their trust and love. It's a short, sweaty read that hits all the spots if you're looking for a quickie with a few giggles. I feel it could be read as a stand alone story, but some events have been going on since book one. You might want to start at the beginning. **Complimentary copy provided by the author for the purpose of an honest review.**

Give me a wolf shifter any day... This is book 3 in the series and they just get better with each installment. Each book is a stand alone story but I would recommend reading them in order just to get the characters backgrounds. This story is about Nicole who has never known what love is and Jake who has never been without it. Watching these two characters grow and come together is a wonderful story. Lots of fun and fighting... If you like shifter stories as much as I do (my favorite type), then you will like this story. Milly has a wonderful world of shifters just waiting to entertain you for hours. Happy reading. :)

I really like the series. It has been fun and entertaining...that said, this installment felt a bit rushed...it was a good read, a good one sitting read and you got to see some of the characters from the other books...but...there was just something that felt off. I would still recommend buying this. I love the author and cannot wait to see the resolution of some of the threads in the story...good job, Milly!

I’ve been enjoying this series and was excited for this installment, and it was good.  However, it didn’t quite have the same feel the others did and I think for me it was because of Nic.  While I get her backstory and therefore reasons why she is the way she is, I can’t help but think that she’s unreasonably naïve and hard headed.  Jake has his moments as well.   The plot is predictable, but free of consequences.  Nic’s parents deserve worse than what they got and with the exception of one fight, there’s no response from the Vegas pack regarding the Wolfes’ presence and behavior.   The family and friends have always been my favorite part of this series, so I wish there was more of them.  This book had a lot to do with the inner turmoil for Nic and Jake, so it was mostly their internal monologues.  However, the friends and family to gang up on the pair to kick their butts in gear, which I definitely appreciated.  It’s adorable when they meddle and orchestrate things so they turn out right. The ending was the best part of the book.  The airport scene (can’t say more about it without giving it away!) is heartwarming and fun.  In this book as a whole, we get a little more from Ellie on her feelings about Caleb and we meet a new female (Nic’s sister) that I think has potential in later books.  While this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, I still love it and look forward to more! Unexpectedly Mated is a fun little trip to Vegas and has plenty of pack politics, yummy lovin’, and wolfy action to satisfy any shifter-romance fan!
