Overview

Vampires can’t levitate. At least that’s what Dante Gabriel always thought, until he finds himself floating above his bed along with his lover, Erin Hamilton. As he continues to exhibit unusual powers, more memories from his time in captivity surface, leaving him fearing what he might have done while imprisoned. When a new and unexpected temptation arises, he finds himself unable to resist.

Erin aches for Dante and wants more than anything for him to find peace. As they uncover clue after clue in their attempt to find the missing women and solve the puzzle of Dante’s past, she is more determined than ever to put an end to their struggle, even if it means putting herself in harm’s way.

After an ominous visit with Bea, the voodoo priestess, Dante knows what he must do, and he must do it alone. First, though, he will make Erin truly his and take the sustenance he needs to get him through his next battle. But will his love for her be enough to save him when his nemesis is finally unmasked?

This 4th book in the series has a lot of twists and turns. I enjoyed this very much and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Dante and Erin just keep going strong in the midst of the madness and mayhem. Vampire love at it's best and lots of steamy sexy times. Dante discovers new powers and needs Erin to help him from going to a really dark place as he learns about his abilities. And that pesky Queen just won't go away! Dante's memories keep him on edge as they search for the missing women and the voices in his head are still there. We get answers to questions but more pop up along with danger, intrigue and mystery. Another well written story in the series but I'm ready to see how it all wraps up and hope that Dante and Erin finally get to a peaceful place in their crazy world. Can't wait for the conclusion to this terrific series but I'll miss these wonderful characters.

I am a sucker for vampire stories - I admit it! I have really been enjoying the intriguing story line in the Blood Bond Series! The saga continues to tell the story the vampire Dante who was taken captive at age 18 and escaped 10 years later trying to find out how he fits in the world, all with the help of the ER Nurse Erin who first encounters Dante in their blood bank after he escaped. The pull between the two is magnetic. I really love how the story line naturally unfolds through the different books in the saga. It has definitely kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for questions to be answered. Having finished books 10, 11 and 12 - I am BLOWN away and cannot wait for Books 13-15 to be out at the end of May 2019!

Love his unmasking! So much good going on this volume! Dante’s unmasking of his dark side & struggle between his light & dark sides is enthralling to read. The tension is mounting to find the missing women, & we get more twists to the story which left me quickly turning pages. Then we are left with the biggest cliffhanger yet that had me gasping then putting my hand over my mouth! I wait with baited breath for the final installment & who will be Undefeated!

Dante is battling the darkness as it gets increasingly stronger. Erin is the light that grounds him. With Emelia and Lucy missing along with River’s Dad they know that time is running out for them to be found. The clues come from some very unexpected places. Can they make it to hell and back? This book in the Blood Bond Saga is a little different than the previous ones. I think the characters spent a little more time searching for and finding clues and not quite as much fighting for their lives. By no means does this mean that Unmasked doesn’t have plenty of action. I have been hooked on this series right from the beginning. If you are looking for a good paranormal read that has just the right amount of romance and suspense grab Blood Bond.

3.5 stars Review by Leah Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Unmasked, Blood Bond Saga 10-12, by Helen Hardt has potential and is loved by many but unfortunately, it started out a little slow for me. At the start, there is one scene that lasts through several chapters of the book and then a couple of chapters later, a scene that completely threw me off and because of those issues, it was hard to get back into the book. Pretty sure I hollered out loud when I read that part. I must say, however, that two-thirds the book the story starts to pick up with the whole mystery of what is in the Vampyre Text and locating the missing women. Dante and Erin's relationship is interesting. I felt the need they had for each other but at times she is almost robotic. I get you will do anything for the person you love but it was like “are you hungry?” Tilts head, “Here is my neck”. As well, there is what Julian said about her staying put because he is going to need to feed, and she takes it like “oh ok, you are right”. It’s almost like her character is trying to flip to a docile submissive but you know she is not. Yeah, I get she is in the bedroom but outside the bedroom, she is not. I just could not connect with the main characters. I don’t know if it was Dante’s fight to stay away due to him fighting the dark or if it is just me. Probably just me. There are several great characters in this book; from River and Jay to Bea, Bill, and Lucian. The hunt for the missing women and the Vampyre text portion of this book is really good but just as it starts getting good the book ends in a cliffhanger. This is not a stand-alone book where you can just pick it up and figure out the backstory and what is going on. It is an ongoing series that has important parts throughout each book. This may not be my cup of tea but please check it out. You never know it may be your next favorite book. * ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

I am just gonna say that the ending really made me happy/fearful/mad/screaming to the wind. Happy in the fact that I finally got answers to many of the questions I've had while reading this saga but fearful/mad because now, what the hell is going to happen?! Especially since the next volume is the last one for the series *insert ugly crying face* This is getting dramatic and intense as now Erin and Dante's families are becoming more involved and we are finding out possible family secrets in Erin's family while Dante's grandfather has sort of opened up to helping them but still keeping them in the dark to their ultimate goal. In the end Dante ends up having to go back from where he escaped. My heart sank but I also wanted to know who might be behind all the missing women and OMG will you freak once you get there! I will say the couple did annoy me a bit in this volume which is a first. I understand Dante is a bit immature and doesn't control himself well, even though he is trying but while Erin is suppose to be the one that calms him down, I feel like she fails him at his worst because she allows her lust to get in the way. She gets angry at him and wants to hold her ground when he is in the wrong but gives in in a millisecond. I feel that just reinforces him to continue to act out and then treating him like a 5 year old telling him it's ok when throwing a tantrum instead of telling him what he did wrong. It's almost like the sex is used to avoid the real problem and confrontation. I feel the sex this time was not really necessary in this volume but what I do love about Helen's writing is that each time this happens, it ends with something that really pushes the plot towards the answers so I really appreciate that. Besides that one annoyance, this volume is the most intense when it comes to getting closer to the truth and Dante falling deeper into the darkness. Helen is amazing when it comes to this and while she left us with a huge cliffhanger, it is one where at least I got some answers and I can impatiently yet happily wait till May for the last volume!

Another breath-taking installment in the Blood Bond Saga! As more powers and secrets are revealed, Dante must do whatever it takes to uncover the truth about his captivity, all while fighting a new temptation. Erin wants Dante to find peace and is willing to do anything to make that happen. This series is insanely captivating and one hell of a ride!

UNMASKED: BLOOD BOND: PARTS 10, 11, & 12 (VOLUME 4) (BLOOD BOND SAGA) By Helen Hardt Volume 4, This is such a great series! It absolutely has to be read in order, but I urge you to give it a try! This is a very different type of vampire story, but as with everything Helen Hardt writes it has a great story line, awesome characters that suck you into their world, hot chemistry, suspense, action, angst, passion and sex. This is a definite 5 stars, wish I could give it more! Part 10, Things are changing quickly for Dante and Erin. He is still evolving and getting stronger and stronger. His memory of his time in captivity is starting to come back a little at a time. Part 11, The darkness is starting to overtake Dante and he is fighting to protect Erin while trying to figure out what is happening. The girls are still missing and they have no clues concerning where they might be. They still need to figure out Dr Bonneville's role in this. Part 12, Bea the voodoo priestess, has given Dante the info of what is going to be required of him and he must go it alone. He will have to do what he never thought he would do. OH HOW LONG UNTIL THE NEXT INSTALLMENT?!?! This story has an insane cliffhanger!
