I found this book interesting and was happy to get a quick overview of US Military History. It is lacking in detail which is what you would expect of a book like this I suppose. The author did not seem to have an agenda and I found it to be more factual and balanced than I had expected. It is not for serious military historians but it provides a beginning framework for those who would like to do further study on the subject.
