If you're looking for a story about a good, humble girl, who's been hurt by someone she thought she could trust, only to find out she's not as vulnerable as she thought she was and discovers an empowering side of herself that falls in love with the guy who helps her find that self, blah, blah, blah...then you're gonna' hate my story.Because mine is not the story you read every time you bend back the cover of the latest trend novel. It's not the "I can do anything, now that I've found you/I'm misunderstood but one day you'll find me irresistible because of it" tale. Why? Because, if I was being honest with you, I'm a complete witch. There's nothing redeeming about me. I'm a friend using, drug abusing, sex addict from Los Angeles. I'm every girlfriend's worst nightmare and every boy's fantasy.I'm Sophie Price...And this is the story about how I went from the world's most envied girl to the girl no one wanted around and why I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

WOW! Just WOW! I have read a lot of books in my days, and I have NEVER been this emotional over a book. Hate, fear, sadness, love... I was speechless after I read this. When I first bought this book, I wasn't sure I was going to like it. Then I started reading the first few chapters and I really wanted to throw my Nook, literally. Sophie was a few words and a half, and I didn't really like her. I thought she was going to act like that throughout the whole book. Wasn't I in for a shocker!! I felt like I was in the book, watching from the sidelines as it all played through. This book was an emotional roller coaster. From having a bad opinion about Sophie at the beginning of the book. Then when she met the children and had a connection to Mendisa (One of my favorite parts in the book, BTW). To when the children got sick. All the gun fire that happened between Sophie and Ian and the thieves. I was extremely emotional when Karina died. And knowing she died doing what she loved (protecting the kids) was the icing on the cake. I balled, literally. I was extremely happy when Ian came to Sophie's rescue at court. The best part of this all, is that Sophie changed her way of life. She found something she wanted to protect, found someone who loved her for who she is, and not what she can offer. I was proud that her father also changed his ways to become the father that Sophie always wanted. Oh, can't forget about Sophie and Ian :) Best part of the book!! All in all... I took from this book, not to judge a book by it's cover. People can always change, if not for the worse, but for the better. All you have to have is faith!

Really liked it. I can't give 5 stars as I had problems with the too rapid transformation of the main protagonist but don't let that keep you from reading it. It's absolutely worth it and I would definitely  recommend it!

I started off hating Sophie. I couldn't stand her and I really didn't know what to expect from the story and like another person mentioned, I started to regret buying it. But after several chapters I fell in love with Sophie and her story. The problems she encounters aren't typical everyday issues and the awareness made me cry several times. I recommend it to every single person.

Wasn't expecting much,  but was really surprised the way the story turned out to be. Totally different from the books I'm used to read, but very glad  that I took a chance.
