A crazy highway accident leads to a different world...
Eliza Foster has the perfect life plan. After she graduates, she’s headed to law school. Then she will marry and have two daughters exactly eighteen months apart. Her life is as well planned as her pre-law course syllabus.
However, one wrong turn on the highway causes an accident that puts her in intensive care. On her way home from the hospital, she gets lost on the familiar route and worries that she might have brain damage. While lost, she meets a strange man named Levi with silver blond hair. He claims she has wandered into the vampire Gate World.
She doubts his claim until more pale creatures attack and Levi shelters her in his home. Injured, Eliza’s blood excites Levi. He doesn’t want to harm her, but wants to taste her. And Eliza, heart pumping from adrenaline, finds herself wanting him more than she’s ever wanted anyone.
An entire new world has opened for Eliza, both magically and sexually, and her meticulous plans seem unimportant. Now she’ll need to fight for her life in order to savor the pleasures of each passing moment.
"POWERFUL! Natalia Hunter creates an intensely romantic world for young and old alike. A place where there is darkness and light, love and hope, and if you dare to go there you will never want to leave."

New Orleans law student, who has her life already planned and won't party and barhop with her sister mid-week, has a major auto collission while driving home from the library late at night. When she wakes up in the hospital, she realizes she has super senses of smell and hearing, and when she leaves the hospital, she takes a wrong turn, wandering into a parallel gate world. She's told she's now half dead (not a full vampire) and the vampires in the new gate world want to feed off her. The story never explains how she became half dead, and is unsatisfying because much is left unexplained and unresolved. Levi rescues her, resists temptation, shares a glass of amazing wine with her, rescues her again. They have amazing three-orgasms sex, and then he takes her home. One star. Lots of annoying typos. Occassional good descriptive passages, OK premise, but the story is not fully developed and too much is left unresolved. Reads like rough short story draft (barely 30 pages), not a complete book.
There were a few grammer errors although it wasn't bothersome. The story line grasped my attention, however, there was no further explanation of how the lady got vamp blood in her system.
