This was another enjoyable book by a fairly new author. The book is written in present tense like her first two books. Initially, this made it somewhat difficult to get into the flow of the story. However, the author has a way of making you overlook the flaws in the editing, and fall in love with her stories. I enjoy reading her books because they have heart, and this one follows in that trend. I found myself heartbroken along with Tori at the beginning of the book, and I wanted to kick Lucas in the pants. But it didn't take to long before I fogave him for being an idiot. I love the fact that this book has a lot of action and is plot driven. There were fistfights, battles in space, evil villians, conspiracies, and several swoon worthy love scenes. There was even a hint into the next book. I look forward to the next book. I only hope the author drops writing in the present tense.

Love this series. MKE is such a great storyteller. One thing though, you have to overlook all the errors. Makes it a little awkward to read, but the story is worth the trouble. Wish she would get a proofreader or editor.

At 350 nook pages it is filled with action, heartbreak, conflict, steamy loving, humor and overall just a wonderful sci-fi romance. I love the closeness of the family and friends in this book. I love M.K. Eidem's work, just wish she could be "super woman" and get books out faster!! LOL Highly recommend her books.****

Thais series is so Wonderful I have read it many times but have not had a way to give a review before now this book is a continuation of the first but also a separate and can stand alone but is so much better knowing the backstory of the first book which is exceptional also

Very well written. I personally could enjoy less of the sex scenes and more story line.

Excellent story continuing in the world created in Cassandra Challenge. I loved that this author tells her stories in third person so the richly detailed story flows like a well crafted movie. Although a good editor would help the grammatical issues this is an author you want to follow.

352 pages. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Hey, what can I say, I discovered your books about a month ago and boy oh boy, I loved them, some more than others, but so far, none of them are an ugly stepchild. You've kept the pace up, I've laughed and I've cried, and kept on reading. Thank you

While agree with all the others that the present tense wording was very annoying and cistracting, the overall writing was so much better then the first story. Highly recommend reading this one.

While I enjoyed the story line, this book was written in a very annoying present tense. At times made me want to put it down.

You should read the first book in the series to fully understand and enjoy this book. This book was faster paced but not as in depth as the last. It didnt really need to be tho since we got all the background info we needed in the last book.

347 pages. Please read Cassandra's Challenge first. This book was a struggle to read, especially the first 100 pages. The story reads like a play or a movie script, much of the characters's actions and feeings are narrated. The scenes jump locations and characters with no visual clues, such as chapters. Much of the book is quite stilted. I was looking forward to this sequel and enjoyed the story. However, if I hadn't read the first book, I wouldn't have finished this one as the writing made the story drag.. Hopefully, the author will get an expert editor at some point

As usual this author writes in the present tense (distracting!), and has numerous spelling and grammatical errors. Also, 2/3 of this book was new material and 1/3 was a review of events from book 1, Cassandra's Challenge. Granted, the review was a plot device to "explain" history to new characters (and readers) but several events were retold two and even three times to characters who weren't there for the initial explanation. Honestly I got tired of hearing how Victoria had been so awesome 9 years earlier at her aunt's challenge. That said, there's still plenty of meat and heart to the plot that makes it worth the read.

who would have thought that a second story could be such a gripping story. Victoria had many more challanges and finally caught her man. I thought it would be a shorter story, we knew her was her lifemate. But the twists and turns in the story are so believeable and keep you interested from beginning to the end. Will there be another story?????

Great story.  This author is one of my favorites.  Would love for her to continue this series.  The action is nonstop with a great plot and interesting characters.  However, I wouldn't mind a few less cuss words ;)
