About the Author

Lyn Ragan knew at the age of fourteen that she would write a book one day. She subscribed to True Crime and True Detective, reading each edition faithfully while plotting her fiction novel she never wrote.
Twenty-five years later, she met the love of her life never thinking she'd be involved in a real-life crime. After her fiancé's murder, she followed his guidance by way of ADC's, (After Death Communications).
From the other side, Chip insisted she write their story. Following her struggles with grief and added defiance, she reluctantly gave in. Through music, Chip communicated the title, and cover art, for this book. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham, inspired the title, Wake Me Up!. Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin, inspired the cover art-the photograph being titled, Stairway to Heaven.
While writing her first novel, Lyn was introduced to the spiritual arts of energy work. She pursued meditation faithfully and went on to study Reiki Healing, Auric Energies, and Chakra Balancing. She later used her studies to become a professional Aura Photographer, an Ordained Minister, a Children's Book author, and a publisher. Lyn enjoys sharing her afterlife experiences with Chip and hopes their story sheds new light on continuing relationships with loved ones passed. She lives in Atlanta with her fur-kids, Scooby and Chipper. Lyn can be found online at www.LynRagan.com, and Facebook at WakeMeUpBook.

The initial chapter is hard to read as you know someone is going to die in a true life story. The remainder of the book had me hooked and I read this book in 2 sittings. The book offered hope about the after life and that our soul never real dies...we just move into a different world. This was so fascinating to me I read the second book as a follow-up. This story awakens Lyn into a whole new world that she never knew existed and truths she never knew existed. I was moved to tears with Lyn Ragan's account of the horrific morning she lost her fiancé Chip and drawn in by her courage to deal with not only his death but his MURDER. Lyn's account of her life and the grief she felt was palpable. Her sudden introduction into the afterlife coupled with her need to have Chip back led her to embrace a realization she would have rejected just days before. There is no end. Love lives on and we will always have our loved ones in our life. I felt hope from reading this book. It made me realize that communication comes in many forms. We may not have chosen this type of communication but at least we still have it. I applaud Lyn for having the courage to come forward with her story.  You will cry, laugh and have your heart filled with the wonder and enchantment of life on the other side!

I read a lot! And I read all different types of books. I was excited about reading this book as I believe in an afterlife and have experienced loss also. So, how disappointing to find this book unconvincing, poorly written, overly dramatic. I began to find this story humorous when the author clearly was not trying to be funny. Seems like she may have had a legitimate story. Well, she needed a good editor and maybe a ghost writer to share the story. I hate to say this but this was one of the worst books I have ever read!
