I watched the horse and rider disappear into the night before returning to attend to my latest charge. Rafe had said he was cat-like, but I'd had no idea what to expect. As I washed the grime from his face, I found old scars along with several more recent scrapes and bruises. What could he possibly have done to deserve such punishment? I began to fear what dangers might lurk within him when he awakened. If he chose to escape, I had no doubt that he could overpower me when he recovered, for his chest and arms were well-muscled, though not with the heavy power which Rafe possessed. No, this man's muscles were hard, but leaner and more sinewy, like those of a hunting cat, and even covered with scabs and bruises, he looked strong. Having treated the wounds on his chest, I undressed his lower body-and got the surprise of my life.

It was boring. I bought all 4 books in the series and I had to struggle through all of them. If you are looking for a good series try sherrilyn kennon or chrisyine feehan. lets not forget lara adrian's midnight breed. Ther is also gena showalters lords of the underworld series. There are alot of awesome authors out ther Cherryl brooks just isn't one of them.

Warrior is the follow-up to the first Cat Star Chronicle book, Slave, and for the second time Ms. Brooks creates such a vibrant world and drool worthy hero that I just couldn't put the book down!

I will say that I enjoyed Slave just a bit more, as the book made me laugh and cry (a good romance book can bring a tear to your eye). I didn't have any tears for Warrior, but the fast action plot and lovable supporting characters (all animals) kept me hooked.

If you'd like a nice escape from life, pick up Warrior and let yourself be swept away!

The second book in the Cat Star Chronicles series takes us to a whole different kind of world than before in Slave. This world is a sort of medieval world with very minor technology. Tisana, the main character woman, is a witch with the ability to create fire with her eyes and is quite adept at mixing potions. Leo, who was recently purcashed as a slave, is brought to her to be treated. In the end the romance starts to develop and Tisana discovers just how much she wants Leo to be free.

So I heard the reviews on the series and due to the positive reviews made the worst mistake ever and bought slave, warrior, and rogue all at the same time, thankfully outcast wasnt in stock. after reading the first one I was very disappointed. In the begining I thought the writing would become more engaging but I literally had to force myself to read each page as I went on. I like the concept of the unique Zetithian male species but really the charcters were lacking, the plot was barely ok, and the romance and and sexual scenes were very repititive throughout the series and fell short of creating any real fire. I constantly felt like the writer went off into tangents when writing this, and basically the writing style was just not up to par, and ruined the whole story, I really think each story had potential just for the simple fact that the universe they were set in was interesting but when it came down to writing these stories Brooks didnt deliver at all. The writing was very amateur and hopefully with a lot of practice Brooks can learn to write in a way that capitivates her reading audience.

This is a futuristic story. There have been 4 books released in this series. I found each one enjoyable. I like the characters and plots set on different planets. Each book is a stand alone, but reading them in order does help keep track of the characters. All 4 I consider keepers to read again.

Warrior, the second book in Cheryl Brooks' Cat Star Chronicles, is a page-turner. Leo is so sexy.  Just as sexy as Cat in Slave.  I have to say I enjoyed the heroine, Tisana, more than I liked Jack in Slave.  Leo is all fighter/lover, and he's wonderful.  Animals as secondary characters was an absolute delight, and they had me giggling and rooting for them every step of this adventure.  The ending is extremely satisfying.  I highly recommend this book for a fun read.

Repetitious heroines and plot line of sexy cat men who are fabulous in bed and the women who take care of them.  Thankfully I bought them when they were 99 cents!
