Where Romance Meets Fantasy and Adventure...

Reading romance books captivated Joanne Wadsworth as a teenager, particularly when she tucked herself into bed at night and continued to dream those stories as she slept. She'd visualize the direction, taking the hero and heroine on an adventure unparalleled to what she'd read. Today she is devoted to writing romance, bringing her imagination to life within the lines of young adult, contemporary, and historical Highlander.

Born in New Zealand, Joanne works both as a writer and a financial controller, all while keeping up with her four energetic children and dreamy husband.

*Real Rating : 4.75 *Received copy of this book from the author for review only. This book is absolutely a very nice read. Highly recommended to people who love the young adult genre  (especially those who love men on horseback, swords, monarchy, royal bloodlines and land feuds), and those  of fantasy type ( see magical abilities and skills that show up at maturation and soul mate bonds). I seriously  suggest that you put this on your to-be-read collection.                                                                                                        Let me just say that the introduction (chapter 1 UGH) might be a bit boring  but please bear with me and  believe that when I say that it all comes together in chapter two. Later I realized that this and the sentences  following were all because I skipped the first book, silly me*face-palm. The preamble of introducing a new  setting, type of people who are way different than us earthlings and ever present dilemma  may be a bit of a  boring history lecture but please oh please do not skip this part, MOST ESPECIALLY if you had skipped the  first book because this is very important in understanding the story, and did I mention that the classifications  of people are a  bit confusing? Yeah that's why I told you not to skip the boring part.                            The whole story revolves about Hope, the twin who was hidden away from the knowledge of her mother  and sister by their father who has the prophetic ability all for the betterment of everyone (he sees the bigger  picture, LITERALLY). Her father also prophesied a vision, including a meeting with a protector ( one of the  terms you need to familiarize, I' ll leave the others for you to discover *wink wink) but left out one very important  fact. The said protector is her mate! Now trouble toils as an agreement is accidentally screwed, attitudes  turned around 180 degrees (well not really but close enough!) and a sweet-but-not-sappy love story with a  side dish of adventure is formed as this pair tackle everything that comes their way and witness the complete  rising of their growing romance.  Let me just emphasize that I truly LOVE this book! Bravo to Miss Author Joanne Wadsworth you have made  my back teeth ache with the gushing romance of this developing lovers without being too much on the silly  romantic cliches. Uh huh let me say that again that there are no silly romantic cliches here but this is sure to  make your heart go boom boom with all the love feelings people! And to put down this book (what book?!  Kindle on phone please!) is a battle of wills. I truly spent time trying to weigh the decision of going to the loo  with or without my phone just to continue reading (sorry, there's just some sacrifices meant to be done  for the sake of reading a good book! Only few will understand!). And the characters are so super real,  and the personality each and everyone of them possess are maintained consistent throughout the book!  And please do pet me appreciate the story progress, One would never forget the feeling of the elusive thing,  that the very important clue, the prime ingredient to unravel the whole thing, is at the edge of every paragraph.  A different refreshing kind of read guys I truly really madly and deeply encourage everyone to read this stuff.  This one's a true book for keeps. Happy reading and hope to share sentiments with other readers on this  book. :)

Warrior is the second book in the Magio-Earth series, and I found this story as exciting, if not more so than the first book, Protector. It took me a chapter or two to reacquaint myself, but once I figured out who everyone was, I couldn’t stop reading. Hope is the daughter of Alexo. . .and sister to Faith. The shock of this immediately glued me to the story. I really had to learn more! Unlike in Faith’s story, Hope was raised knowing her heritage, aware of the war between her people and the Peacians. So when her father has a premonition of her needing aid from a born enemy, she has her doubts. Enter Silas Carver! Not only is he from Peacio, but one of their Protectors and a close cousin to Prince Davio. Hope’s attraction to him is undeniable, and him to her as well. Sadly, happily-ever-after won’t work for these two. Silas demands Hope to set him free from their mated-bond. Of course she agrees, however, unexpectedly with a heavy heart. I couldn’t believe she released him, and so early in the story! UGH! Frustration ran high, but I continued reading more. Surely the author wouldn’t end their relationship before it even had a chance to begin, right? Right I was! Hope’s father had a vision. She would need Silas to seek out her mother’s ancestors, in order to find answers to the deadly mind-merge her sister and her mate share. Oh, boy! The bond between Hope and Silas held strong from the very beginning and as soon as Silas returns to her, Hope mind-merges with him, just as her sister had done with her mate. The journey to set Silas and Hope free from the deadly curse pushes them to find Hope and Faith’s grandmother even quicker. . .and each day spent with the other, only increases their need and desire to be together. . . Warrior held my attention from start to finish. Each obstacle Hope and Silas encountered had me  jumping with joy, but often screaming in frustration. What made me fall in love with Warrior, is the heart thudding romance between the two main characters. However, Warrior isn’t just a love story, it’s so much more.

4.5 Stars! *Spoilers from book one! I really loved the first book, Protector, and I was excited to have this one on hand so I could immediately start reading it. At first, I thought that it would continue Faith’s story, but that obviously wasn't the case. Instead, the main character is the twin sister she never knew she had. Hope. Hope grew up in Dralion with their father, Prince Alexo, but now lives on her country’s station in Australia. She’s different from Faith because she has no strength skills. That they know of.... It isn't until Silas Carver shows up at the station and they find out that they're soul-bound that she finds out she also has the power of mind-merge. The two realize that they won't be able to just walk away from each other, so they go in search of the girls’ ancestors to find a way around the three-day death sentence. Without Faith or their mother knowing who Hope really is. When Hope finds her great-aunt in the desert of No Man’s Land, she learns about her past and her powers start to show themselves. She has the skill of water manipulation, just like Elizara. And it’s at full strength, unlike with one of her good friends, Maslin. Soon, she'll have her rising and she'll need the people who care the most about her by her side. Goldie, Elizara, Maslin, Alexo. And thanks to a chance meeting with her sister, Hope will have Faith to help her through this time. And she also has Silas. Because although Silas accepted the bond because she would die without merging her mind with his, he’s fallen in love with the enemy. And it doesn't matter that they now have a way around that, he’s not letting her out of his life. No matter how many times she pushes him to move on. Her grandfather, the ruthless leader of Dralion, still has no idea that his granddaughters are soul-bound with two Peacians. But Alexo will never make his girls give up their men, and he’s been keeping his father in the dark ever since he took Faith and her mother back to their country. Like soul-bonds, blood-bonds are just as special and powerful. When Hope meets her great-aunt, her sister, and her mother, she instantly develops a strong familial love for them. Besides the soul-bonds, the family aspect to this series is my favorite part of the books. They take care of their own, and they are stronger together. It was beautiful when the family of four was reunited with each other. <3 I loved Silas in Protector, even when he was being a jerk. I was excited to see this hot-tempered, hard-headed protector fall in love, especially with the stubborn and argumentative Hope. Now he knows exactly what his cousin, Davio, was going through with being soul-bound to Faith. The girls aren't just regular Dralions, they are Wincrests, heirs to the throne and sworn enemies of their men’s family. These characters have a bumpy road ahead of them, and I'm sure more obstacles will be thrown their way. But I have hope that we will see the two countries of Magio, Dralion and Peacio, unite in the future. That they will no longer be enemies. And the power to do that will come from the youngest in the families and the soul-bonds that they have with each other.

Ohhhh Magio/Drallion/Earth how I've missed this story. It seems to of been a lifetime away since I read "Protector" I fell in love with the storyline straight away and couldn't wait to get my hands on the next piece of action from Joanne :) And I was right.....this totally is my favourite in this series so far! Oh Holy hotness, HELLO Silas, you can be my mate if you want ;) Yes in Protector he was the hot-headed jerk that we all came to love....*sigh* who knew he could be so lovey dovey in the end...... WAIT he's not :) This is the story of  Hope, she lives in the outback, Australia. Joanne has such a vivid imagination her writing is beautiful and she casts such a picture for the reader when were this story. She doesn't over do it with the detail and again the characters are loveable. Hope is coming to terms with a few things in her life: 1) She's not alone any more 2) She is mated to the enemy 3) She's finally coming into her magical powers Were taken on a magical journey of Hope and her friends in her finding out her heritage and about the curse of a power Mind-Merge I love the witty banter that Hope and Silas have, there like two peas in a pod. Yeah things get heavy, but who is it bes to turn to when things comes to a head.....family, and finally Silas, Hope, Davio & Faith have found them :) So I do believe Joanne is going to be releasing a little novella in December 2013? Huh Huh? Interested.... Keep your eyes open for "Hunter" this is the of Lieska Alura  a warrior in Dralion and Cole Cyrano a proctor from Peacio.
