About the Author

Born in New York and raised in Miami, Bill Monk worked for 31 years as a district manager for a large supermarket chain in the United States. Since his retirement, he has lived in Nova Scotia, Canada, with his wife of thirty-eight years, Ann Marie. Together they own and operate A Seafaring Maiden Bed and Breakfast, Ann Marie’s 140-year-old ancestral home in Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia. An outdoor enthusiast, Bill enjoys hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and biking, and his hobbies include furniture restoration, woodworking, and the loving care and maintenance of their historic heritage home.
