Oh man, I have waited forever for Ozzie’s story and was not disappointed at all! I can’t express how much I loved this story, I didn’t think I would like Samantha, let alone love her! Such a wonderful book!

This is book #9, in the heart stopping Black Knights Inc. series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Ethan AKA "Ozzie" has been talking to a reporter. Shocker. With his good looks and brilliant mind, he could make literally any woman fall at his feet. So why this reporter? He is not entirely sure either. He only knows he likes that her mind works at full speed, and her look are not a turn off either. Samantha knows there is more going on at BKI, and she is determined to find out. She does not expect to feel the warmth of Ozzie's protection, or that it would make her want more. Will their friendship be over when he finds out she is on a story? This long awaited book was worth every page. I eagerly read this story and could not put the book down. It was just a great read from the heart-pounding start to finish!

Samantha Tate is a reporter for The Chicago Tribune that has been trying for years to get the scoop on The Black Knights Inc. Samantha recently learned some information that changes her entire world about BKI but she's not sure what to do with the information at this point. Ozzie doesn't like lying to Samantha any more because of the feelings he has for her. Ozzie's last mission left him damaged not only physically but mentally and emotionally too. Ozzie wants something more from Samantha but can't act on it because of the security of BKI team mates and their family members. When Samantha's informant ends up dead and she becomes a target. Ozzie steps in to do bodyguard duty which surprises not only him but Samantha as well. Will Samantha learn the truth? Can Ozzie keep his hands to himself? Will Samantha finally act on her feelings? Your answers await you in Wild Ride. Hallelujah Ozzie's story is finally here! Can you tell how excited I am for it? Extremely excited it's finally arrived. I've been waiting for Ozzie's story to come. I wanted it sooner than it appeared but I'm glad it didn't come out sooner for several reasons. First, being that if it had come earlier it would have ruined his character. Second, Ozzie needed the right woman and she hadn't been introduced yet. Finally, because the author only gives us the best stories for her characters. This book has it all passion, page turner, compelling, complex, honest, raw, real, flawed in a good way, and pure steam. I can't wait for my next adventure with this author in Fuel for Fire.

With each Black Knights book I found myself falling more and more for Ozzie's humor and laid back attitude. He's a protective alpha; don't get me wrong. But he also wears his heart on his sleeve. His secrets are many, as with all the BKI men and women. His hurt runs deep. But when he's injured and struggling with who he is? Yeah, my heart melted for this man. Samantha. Annoying reporter who won't leave the the BKI alone because she smells a story. For years she's been trying to figure them out. Ozzie has been her "guide" and friend. A new discovery will destroy that friendship and put her in danger. Ozzie goes full blown alpha but it wreaks havoc with her conscience and heart. Distance is his savior. His internal struggle with his place at BKI weighing him down even more. Wild Ride is just that. It's the wild and unexpected ride of their lives. Danger, fear, hope, attraction, confusion, hurt and love. Wild Ride has it all. I loved Ozzie's story and wish that man was my own!!

This book is fast paced. Suspense, emotion, sexual chemistry, and humor all fuel the ride. Ozzie is a unique combination of sexy, geeky, and vulnerable. It proves to be deliciously irresistible! Samantha is tough, smart, and witty. Strap in with these two and hang on tight, because the Wild Ride is worth it! The bumps, twists, and turns come at you without warning. An exhilarating ride!

I love this series and Wild Ride is a great example of why. Wild Ride is just that, a non stop roller coaster of action and suspense. There are also insights and updates for some of the other characters, not as much as I'd have liked, but you are introduced to a new member of the team. Overall another great addition to the series and I'm eagerly awaiting Dagan and Chelsea's book Fuel for Fire in July 2017.

Wild Ride is book nine in the Black Knights Inc. series by Julie Ann Walker. Though this book could be read out of order I feel you should at least read Full Throttle first. A big life altering event happens in Full Throttle to affect our lead hero Ozzie. I had a pleasant time reading Ozzie and Samantha’s story. It had action, mistrust, secrets, danger, and passion. Our leads had good chemistry and we get to see previous characters. I loved the banter between Ozzie and Christian. It was so much fun and Samantha showed that she could hold her own with Ozzie on the silly comments, 80’s bands, and more I did have a few issues: - First, that Ozzie and Samantha didn’t really talk honestly or openly until close to the last 20-25% of the book, having this happen made things drag. They could have wrapped up some issues sooner and since they didn’t it took away from the romantic relationship. At least in my eyes. - Second and my main issue was Emily and Christian. I loved having them in the story, don’t get me wrong, secondary characters are great and gearing up for another couple even better, but so much page time was spent on these two instead of the main couple Ozzie and Samantha. And, to top it off the next book Fuel for Fire isn’t about Emily and Christian, it’s Dagan and Chelsea’s. Why waist so much page time on a couple that won’t have a book next? Wild Ride was a delightful read in the Black Knights Inc. series and I do so love Ozzie. Rated: 3.5 Stars

I've been waiting for Ozzy to fall in love. You won't be disappointed. As all the other stories in the series Julie Ann doesn't disappoint. I reread the series just to enjoy the full effect again.

Ozzie's book is another fast paced Black Knights adventure that will leave you sitting up at night, reading as fast as you can, dying to know what happens next while simultaneously trying to draw it out because you don't want it to end. Julie Ann Walker has mastered the art of the Action/Adventure/Romance genre, this book is just the proof in the pudding.

Loved the book! Checked it out from my local library. Ozzie's one-liners are as great as ever and Samantha gives all that sass right back to him. Not as fast-paced and action-packed as some of the previous stories but still attention grabbing and hard to put down. Ozzie's struggle with his injury and past is heart-tuggingly well-written. I loved that we finally find out where Ozzie got his name and what is behind his love of 80s hair bands and all things Star Trek. Only thing I missed was the appearance of all the other BKI boys. Though Christian and Emily did pull their weight and I can't wait for their story! Now its time for Dagan and I can't wait!

Loved, loved loved Ozzie's book. It was so nice to see him out and about again. Granted he's not the happy go lucky guy he was at the beginning of the series, he has shadows in his eyes now, but he's still a fun character. Since this book was announced and it was about Ozzie I was excited. Ozzie can not, not be your favorite character. It was hilarious when Samantha thought Ozzie was a killer. She is a headstrong woman and focuses on her work. I loved watching the girls tell Sam about who Ozzie really is and the way they told her. You can't get better than that. Another great book by Ms. Walker. Can't wait to read Fuel for Fire.

Loved the humor but missed the rest of the crew. I'm no prude but did get tired of skipping pages and pages of sex. The ending was silly and Ms. Walker should be ashamed of herself, gummy bears, really?

Wow. Just wow. I absolutely l loved Ozzie and Samantha’s story! Wild Ride by Julie Ann Walker gives us everything the title states. Emotional highs and lows, drama, suspense, action, despair, and joy. All of those things are packaged into a story that will grip you from the first page all the way until you close the book. Since I am not able to read a book in one sitting, every night when I had the opportunity to sit and read I couldn’t wait. I would rush through the daily things that had to be done in order to spend time with Ozzie and Samantha. I love that in a book! I have read the first four books in the series and then jumped to this one (#9) and realize there is probably a lot more Ozzie I missed in past books that I can’t wait to go back and read about. He is a geeky, 80’s loving, hottie who has the biggest heart I have seen from a hero in a long time. Samantha knows how good Ozzie is and miscommunication and assumptions are what take their relationship on a rocky ride from friends to lovers to something else. Walker did a phenomenal job with the flirting and love scenes between Ozzie and Samantha. The feelings and descriptions of the scenes were so passionate and the interruptions comical. The ending of book as it related to Ozzie and Samantha was absolutely perfect. Walker writes a wicked good suspense story. The villains are crazy evil, elevating the reader’s heartbeat quite a bit, and the action scenes are done so well that it is easy to picture it play out. The addition of previous and future characters of the series are always a nice addition and they are why I like to read a series. The only hesitation I have with Wild Ride is that while I am looking forward to Christian and Emily’s story (we are treated to their feelings for one another in this one), I am not sure I will be able to handle their buildup and courtship. They both annoyed the way they talked to one another. I was sort of hoping their relationship was wrapped up at the end of this one because of that. That is the first time I have felt like that with any of the characters in this series, so it surprised me. Wild Ride is a fantastic romantic suspense story. Whether you have read all of the other Black Knights books by Walker or are looking to start, give this one a read. It can be read as a stand alone and is very hard to put down. While your heart will be racing many times during the story, it will also be filled with joy at the end.

Long-Awaited. Lacked the Exotic Flair, but Fit the Situation. > > Judging a Book by it's Cover > Looking Deeper Third-Person This book had a emptier feel due to the lack of cast members from BKI. It also did not feel as vibrant and action-packed. Setting stays in Chicago. BKI is working with a skeleton crew at home base when the bane of their existence for the past half-dozen years, Chicago Tribute investigative reporter, Samantha Tate, finds herself in a potentially deadly situation. Ozzie's relationship with Samantha is low-key, at best, but the feelings that are developing for the smart and sexy reporter make him protective of her and when her safety is gravely compromised, he takes it upon himself to keep her in one piece. For the first time since the bombing (see FULL THROTTLE [BKI #7] ), grief, doubt, pity, and self-loathing are not fighting to consume him. Their chemistry and interactions are mostly enjoyable and entertaining. Secondary cast consist of a handful of the BKI members (mostly wives), Samantha's co-workers, a gang, an MC, and a few law enforcement officers. The dialogue and writing was on-point for this series and author. The flow was super smooth. There were plenty of dynamics and conflicts along the way. Most everything was resolved before the end. No big surprises nor blatant predictability. The conclusion is wrapped up pretty well, however I am now concerned that Ozzie's repairs may be degrading - which is scary and worrisome. Overall, fans of Romantic Suspense will be pleased with this addition to the series, but more likely not overjoyed. While it fit the current pace that Ozzie's at, we tend to expect a faster-paced, more action filled story set in exotic or remote locales. But, that said, it is NOT a disappointment, and I think you'll agree that Emily and Christian really try to steal some scenes *big, hopeful grin* . Wild Ride continues to be one of my favorite series. Julie Ann Walker has this great ability to create fun, exciting, and courageous characters. The members of Black Knights, Inc. are nothing like members of any other team. Nor should they be considering that they use a motorcycle shop as a cover for an elite covert unit that operates under the direction of the President of the United States. In this book, we focus on team member Ethan “Ozzie” Sykes who has been sidelined while recovering from a leg injury that occurred during a bombing. More importantly, over the past six years, Ozzie has been in charge of keeping a nosy investigative reporter named Samantha Tate from finding out what they really do at the motorcycle shop. Consequently, Ozzie has been feeding her false information and spending a lot of time with her to the extent that they have become good friends. As is usually the case, Ozzie’s deception eventually comes back to bite him when Samantha mistakenly believes that Ozzie and the Black Knights have something to do with the death of her informant. Attempts on Samantha’s life force Ozzie into action to protect her while at the same time trying not to blow his own cover and that of his teammates. The close proximity makes it difficult for either of them to hide their sexual attraction to each other so they end up between the sheets and can’t get enough of each other. The only problem is that they both are interested in pursuing a relationship although neither of them believes the other is interested in anything long term. This allows for us to see the chinks in Ozzie’s armor and recognize that his prior history of losing people has made it hard for him to feel he is worthy of love. On the other hand, Samantha appears to have her blinders on when it comes to Ozzie so she reads him all wrong. There is another factor in Wild Ride and series that I found to be the most appealing. It’s the members of the Black Knights and their significant others. They represent a really great team and are the epitome of a true family. They may take jabs at each other but they aren’t afraid to demonstrate how much they love each other and are loyal to a fault. The women are tough but still remain feminine. They are smart and unapologetic. There is something about them that makes you want to root for them and hold your breath when they end up in a life or death situation which happens a lot. I look forward to seeing what happens next. **Received a copy of the book from the publisher and reviewed voluntarily.**

Fantastic addition to the series. Finally Ozzie's book. This adorable character you can't help but love finds it himself. Julie's writing is crisp and clean and full of heart. Suspense abounds and the reader is always given a taste of things to come and intrigued as to which characters should hook up next. Love this series!

'Wild Ride' by Julie Ann Walker is book Nine in the "Black Knights Inc." series. This is the story of Ethan "Ozzie" Sykes and Samantha Tate. I have not yet read the other books in this series so for me this was a standalone book. The Black Knights are a team of people actually working for the Government but only a few Government people know about them. Ozzie is one of the members and he knows that things have to be kept secret. But when Sam starts to looking around for information it ends up putting her in danger and that doesn't leave Ozzie many options. This was an exciting, drama filled romance that was hard to put down!*A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team Selection*

Finally in "Wild Ride" we see Ozzie front and center. I have been a longtime fan of the BKI group and couldn't wait to see Ethan 'Ozzie' Skyes get his story. The geeky, always smiling, always funny, always flirting, sexy Ozzie. I enjoyed the depths we got to see in Ozzie's story and how his life has evolved. He meets his match in Samantha, the woman that works for the newspaper. The action was fast and furious, the intimate moments hot, and the background we see on Ozzie is just not what I expected. It was better. Although many of the BKI group were on a mission, we did get to see a lot of familiar people a part of this one. The women of BKI are just as much a part of it all as the men. Although a standalone, you will want to catch up to any ones you might have missed. I can't wait for the next one. I would like to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks for gifting me "Wild Ride". My opinion is my own. This is mine 4.75 Stars!

One of my favorite series, genres and authors! Get to reading. You hurt and want for Ozzie and Samantha. Chapters 23 and 25 just did me in! They just couldn't get out of their own way, thank goodness for their circle of friends. Not lol funny, quirky smiles and head nodding I get its. If you don't get 95% of the movie and song references you're just not worthy of their journey. Julie, why?! These are my dudes, Cajun's and Dan's back stories and love stories being my favs but somehow I just knew Ozzie would wedge in there too urrggh. So that's my review....as you wish!
