Wild: The Ivy Chronicles by Sophie Jordan

A good girl goes fabulously bad in the final book in New York Times bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s sexy New Adult romance series, in which three Ivy League suite-mates seek higher knowledge of just how far they can go.

Months after her boyfriend dumped her, Georgia can still hear the insults he hurled at her. Boring. Predictable. Tame. Tired of feeling bad, she’s ready to change her image, and go a little wild. What better way to prove her ex wrong than a hot night of sexual adventure at the secret campus kink club?

In the shadowy den of the kink club, she unexpectedly runs into Logan Mulvaney, her friend’s little brother. A player extraordinaire too hot for his own good, he may be younger, but the guy is light years ahead when it comes to sexual experience. Now he’s telling her to go home—“good girls” don’t belong here!

Georgia is tired of having others define her. She’s going to teach Logan a lesson he won’t forget—one white hot, mind-wrecking kiss . . . that leads to another . . . and another . . . and. . . . Realizing she’s way in over her head, Georgia runs.

Only Logan won’t let her go. Everywhere she goes he’s there, making her want every inch of him. Making her forget who she is. Who he is. And just how wrong they are for each other.

I think the above summary is longer than my review. Sophie Jordan's third book in her new adult romance series, The Ivy Chronicles, is very sexy and exciting. The happy endings of three close friends in college are breathlessly romantic. Though all the characters are very young, only juniors in college, making it a tad unbelievable, this is a nevertheless a fun series. Georgia has always been a good girl, doing what her mother expected of her: majoring in business while denying her passion for music—too much like her absent birth father—being indebted to her mother financially, and dating Harris, the mayor’s son, from her small southern town despite the fact that he cheated on her. She’s afraid of ever disobeying her mother, of letting go; in short, of being true to herself. “I had been a shadow of myself then, around Harris, swallowed up like a sparrow in a storm.” (p126) I love how Logan and Georgia get to know each other even as Georgia battles an internal sexual attraction to Logan. Their conversations and time spent in the apartment over the bar are nice and slowly build the inevitable romance. He sees it long before she does. The sex in this book is super hot and sexy but it’s tempered with intense emotions. In other words, it isn’t just sex, there’s the slow building of a romantic relationship between Logan and Georgia that is very satisfying. Their romance is both sweet and very hot and the pacing of their relationship realistic and believable. I love how Logan talks dirty to Georgia and she shocks herself by finding she loves it. "He was honest and real, but he lived his life outside the box and I had to stay inside mine.” (p225) Logan is a sweet guy who radiates sex, but who was forced to grow up too soon when his mother died at age three leaving him to care for his drunk of a father, along with his older brother Reece—the hero from the first book in the series, Foreplay.  I had a little trouble wrapping my head around the fact that Logan is only eighteen but with all his past troubles, I could see him as mature for his age. I myself was called “an old soul” when I was nineteen, so I can see Logan is one as well. Georgia’s close friends, Pepper and Emerson, heroines of the first two books, are here as well, and it’s nice to see the dynamics of friendships that are even closer than family. This has been a very enjoyable new adult romance series. I highly recommend reading it in order for plot and character development. Oh, and I don’t think the cover of this book does Logan justice. Just saying. Every good girl deserves a Logan in her life, at least once.

First off, let me say that I absolutely love Sophie Jordan's Ivy Chronicles! I have been waiting for this book to be released since October. That being said, this book was fantastic! FANTASTICALLY AMAZING. I loved both Georgia and Logan, although you do get annoyed with Georgia sometimes. Steamy sex scenes with the perfect amount of dirty talk and intimacy. Sophie Jordan really knows how to keep you wrapped up in a novel. A previous reviewer gave this book a bad review, which I dont believe is warranted. There was no menage or anal sex. This book was great and I do recommend the whole series.

I think highly of Sophie Jordan's talent, and I enjoyed the other two books in this series. Unfortunately the main female lead was beyond annoying and ruined the whole book for me. Toward the end of the book I skipped chapters when she, yet again, behaved like an idiot for the umpteenth time. She did not deserve Logan, and it was therefore a not very believable match in my eyes. Please don't write another heroine like Georgia!

This 3rd and final novel in The Ivy Chronicles had me highlighting like a crazy fool as I’ve come to expect from author, Sophie Jordan.  In Foreplay (book 1), Georgia was the only one of the 3 suitemates to have a long time boyfriend while Pepper and Emerson were single. Now in Wild, the tables have been completely turned. After years of dating, Harris told Georgia she was boring and dumped her unceremoniously. Another guy told her that she had marriage material written all over her after only a few dates and that he was just not ready for that kind of dating. On a mission to be less boring, Georgia decided to tag along with annoying Annie to a kink club rendez-vous and ran into Logan, Reece’s younger brother, while there.  “He looked directly at me with a burning-hot stare.” […] “That’s hot,” Annie breathed near my ear. “He’s looking right at you like it’s you he’s kissing. Or wants to.” Georgia had never thought of Logan in a romantic or sexual way in their past social group encounters, so she tries to convince herself that he’s just a kid. Her feathers got ruffled when Logan quickly shuffled her out of the kink club when it was her turn to do two minutes on the pool table kissing some random guy. Feeling defensive and determined to still prove that she could be wild, Georgia surprised Logan by kissing him. And it was one hell of a first kiss that went on for several hot pages!  ‘His mouth was hot and aggressive, punishing on my stinging lips. I’d never been kissed so hard. So thoroughly. I felt him everywhere and this was just a kiss. Oh. God. What would the rest of it be like with him? It would wreck me.’  Georgia had all kinds of reservations about getting involved with Logan, a very mature high school baseball jock who at 18 years old already had a reputation for getting girls to drop their undies for him. She admitted to him that she couldn’t be another notch on his one-night stand belt. I absolutely loved how he responded to her. Below is just a small excerpt from that fantastic scene: “This doesn’t feel like a joke to me. You don’t,” growled in a tight voice. “I want to do things to you…things a clean, vanilla girl like you never dreamed of. Things that boyfriend of yours never came close to doing to you.” “Ex-boyfriend,” I replied automatically. At my response, Logan pushed my palm harder against him, rubbing the hard ridge of him. A tiny moan escaped me as the ache squeezed between my legs. He angled his head. “I think you want me to do dirty things to you, Georgia.” My moth sagged. No one had ever talked to me like that. He shocked every part of me – shocked, horrified…and turned me on. I’d never known this with Harris. With any guy. Never wanted sex so badly that I felt like could weep for lack of it.  These two had such feisty chemistry. I enjoyed the push and pull of their attraction as they discovered more about one another and how they worked through Georgia’s other personal issues to find their own HEA. The epilogue was a real treat, too. I loved the reason why they were 45 minutes late to Reece and Pepper’s house, lol! I also got a kick out of the Author’s Acknowledgments at the end, especially the part about her husband reading and loving these books best. I’m truly bummed that the series is over already. It’s one of my favorites, and I’ll definitely look forward to rereading all 3 books in the future.

I loved the first two books and liked the storyline of this one but it felt too rushed. The story couldve gone into more depth/details like the others. I was disappointed.

The only thing bad about this book is knowing it's the last in the series! Sophie Jordan knows how to write characters that are funny, real, and intriguing, and her story lines are relatable and sweep you up in them. This series is a must read!

I guess I didn't need sleep. I just couldn't put this book down. Hands down the best in the trilogy.  Highly recommend to fans of the new adult genre.

Ever since we first met him in FOREPLAY, Logan has been "a player extraordinaire too hot for his own good" and a frequent attendee at the infamous campus kink club.  Georgia was the good girl in love with her high school sweetheart. But Georgia got dumped by her boyfriend who called her boring and predictable. Wanting to prove to herself she has an adventurous side, she accepts an invitation to a kink club party. Soon things get ugly with a guy who won't take no for an answer until Logan steps in and rescues her. He's gorgeous and hot as hell--he's also a senior in high school and her friend's boyfriend's little brother. Sexy, moving and often funny, this is such a great good girl/bad boy romance because for once the bad boy isn't the one who needs saving. Georgia struggles to resist her attraction to him--she's 19 and in college after all--but it's Logan who has the experience and maturity to help her get past her fears and become a woman who is willing to follow her own dreams. And along the way fall in love. As always, Sophie Jordan makes us fall in love with her characters and cheer them on through every page of the book. I read this book in one sitting and wished there was more. WILD is the perfect finale to a terrific series!

I have been waiting for this book ever since I met Sophie at a signing early this year and she told me who Georgia's love interest was! I was floored! In the very best way! I never would have paired these two up together, but I'm so glad she did! I can't decide who my favorite boy is: Logan or Reece! The Mulvaney brothers are smoking hot and incredibly sexy, so I am quite jealous of Pepper and Georgia. At first I was afraid this book was going to go in a very different direction, especially with the knowledge we would be seeing more of the kink club this time around. I didn't want to read a NA BDSM, so I'm thankful Jordan just used the club as more of a setting for Logan and Georgia, than to actually go too in depth with that lifestyle. From the very first night Georgia stepped into the club, it's been all about Logan. She never thought she would feel the things she does for her friend's younger brother, and she is terrified of what those feelings actually mean. I had a hard time with Georgia's character. She was really very infuriating with the way she kept Logan at arm's length. Every time she let him down, it killed me inside. He's such a good guy and he genuinely wants her for her, not who her mother thinks she should be. Instead of listening to her heart, Georgia constantly lets herself get dragged down by all the reasons she shouldn't be with Logan, thus ruining so many chances together. That was the hardest part for me. I wanted her to shut out the world and turn off her brain and just FEEL for once. We finally get that, but it's not until late in the story. All her life Georgia has lived under the control of her mother and wants to make her happy. However, it isn't right that her mom places so much pressure on her to make her proud. I was glad when Georgia finally stood up for herself and said enough is enough. She's 20 years old and has to make her own decisions and mistakes. She doesn't want to go back to the way she felt before with her previous boyfriend of 4 years, whom she felt no passion for. Logan is dangerous to her because he opens up the floodgates of all these emotions and wants and desires she's never had before. I loved Logan. Seriously. OMG. For an 18 year old, he is incredibly mature and confident for his age. He has had to grow up at a young age, not having anyone to really take care of him, save his older brother, as he had to help take care of his disabled, alcoholic father. I love that Logan knows what he wants. He wants Georgia, but he's not going to push her.... at first. He wants her to realize on her own that there's something there between them that they should explore. Oh, they do some exploring alright... Holy cannoli, was this book hot! Between the intense sexual tension and the actual sex scenes, I thought I was going to combust. Logan is no inexperienced innocent that's for sure. He's got quite the dirty mouth and the way he takes control is really very hot. We get to see the gang from the previous books too and I really liked that. Jordan does such an amazing job developing their friendships, but most of all, I love how in this book she captures that bittersweet moment when they realize their lives are moving forward in different directions. Change is inevitable and it doesn't always have to be a scary thing. This is a very real thing college students experience towards the end, so I'm glad she incorporated this into the novel. I really loved this book though. As crazy as Georgia made me, I still wanted her and Logan to get their act together and let themselves just see where the wind takes them. That epilogue had me grinning from ear to ear and I'm really sad this series is over! We've come full circle since the first book in the series and gotten closure for all our characters, and I couldn't have asked for anything more than that.
