Winning Streak (Las Vegas Sinners, #3) by Katie Kenyhercz

As the new head of public relations for the Las Vegas Sinners hockey team, Saralynn Reese wants to leave behind the frivolity of her popular girl image. Unfortunately, her first big assignment is to clean up the media messes of the team's assistant general manager, Madden Vaughn. He's flirty, impulsive, and self-centered; he also happens to be drop-dead gorgeous. Could there be more to Madden under the Ralph Lauren surface?

Having struggled with a gambling addiction since his early twenties, Madden's finally moved past it and into a secure, corporate job working for his sister, the one person who means the world to him. When rumors fly and the team and his family both doubt his word, an unlikely ally pulls him out of his funk with a manicured hand: Saralynn.

He's tired of chasing the same type of unattainable girl, and this up-and-coming publicity dynamo fits that mold perfectly. But she also challenges him and believes in him like no one else. Can they help each other keep their feet on solid ground . . . or will these twin hearts find themselves skating on thin ice?

Winning Streak (Las Vegas Sinners #3) by Katie Kenyhercz Saralynn Reese just started a job as the new head of PR for the Las Vegas Sinners hockey team. Her first task is to clean up the mess made by Madden Vaughn, the team’s assistant general manager. Winning Streak is a great addition to the Las Vegas Sinners series. Saralynn is a fun character. I like that she is trying to change her image. I also appreciate that she had confidence in Madden. They are very similar and can relate to one another. I really like Madden. He struggles with a gambling addiction; as a result, he is not always given the benefit of the doubt. I felt bad about the friction between him and his sister. I like that he tries to better himself. I enjoyed the plot. It was well-thought out and meaningful. I like that characters from the previous book are relevant to this story. Winning Streak is a believable story that was heartfelt and entertaining. Complimentary copy provided via in exchange for an honest review.

Madden Vaughn finally gets his own story, and a heroine who understands him, perhaps even better than his sister, Jacey. What I love about a series like this is getting a glimpse of past couples while the stories continue forward with the spotlight on the new pair. Can’t wait to see who gets to lace up the skates next.

WINNING READ! “Could there be more to Madden Vaughn than a hot bod and a reputation?” Ya had me at hot bod. Madden Vaughn is the type of man readers will love to love, especially this reader! Masculine, wounded, and with a past he doesn’t excuse but is working hard to get beyond. Prove himself to those he hurt and top of his list is his sister, Jacey. What happens in Vegas is hard to forget, when it's your hometown. My heart squeezed more than a few times for Madden’s big shoulders both in physical stature and emotional depth. The man is mesmerizing with a capital ‘M’ in how he relates to his friends, his family, and especially his gut reaction to Saralynn…even before does a thing to help him. Which she does. Big, big time. He’s no manipulator, if anything he’s down for the count in what to do to make things right. But even a great guy needs a wingman… or wingwoman. When others might see Madden in the shadow of his past, Saralynn sees him in full color, hitting all her senses and then some. Girl comes up with a fix-it plan and she’s the real deal. The sure thing. The longshot bet and Madden lays all his chips on the table where she’s concerned. “Under her back-off attitude, there were traces of a vulnerable girl, and he got the feeling not many people were allowed to see that.” Winning Streak is filled with charming characters and family ties that bind them together. After Madden and Saralynn, I absolutely adored Allie and her spitfire persona. “Sorry. I don’t’ come with that guarantee. I do come with an opinion…” ~ Allie Winning Streak is a fun, fast-paced read and sweet, tender, funny. Hitting it big in LOVE! I’m on to check out the other books in the Las Vegas Sinners series to enjoy. Recommend? Absolutely!

Find this review and more at Lusty Penguin Reviews! Winning Streak, the third book in the Las Vegas Sinners hockey series by Katie Kenyhercz, is a delightful and entertaining story about becoming the person you want to be and taking advantage of second chances. As the head of public relations for the Las Vegas Sinners, Saralynn Reese has her hands full with her assistant general manager, Madden Vaughn, when his actions threat to damage the team’s image. One thing Saralynn hadn’t counted on was actually caring about Madden. Saralynn has a terrible track record with men, and relationships in general, having never really invested herself emotionally. Although Madden has had issues with gambling, Saralynn sees the good and kind man he is underneath. Just like Saralynn, Madden hasn’t had much success with relationships either. As these two embark on a relationship behind closed doors—so their siblings will not know—they decide to take thing slow. Saralynn’s brother, Shane, is an overbearing and protective older brother while, on the other hand, Jacey, Madden’s sister, who is expecting her first child has concerns about Madden being around the baby. As they get to know each other through at-home dinner dates, Saralynn and Madden work toward fostering a real union. It’s adorable to see this couple realize that the spark that they are experiencing comes from finding your one and only. After a few months of dating, Madden wants to announce that they are dating to their family members, and he is taken aback by Saralynn’s hesitation and refusal to do so. Neither handles this bump in the road very well. Saralynn and Madden have much to learn about themselves and each other along with quite a few additional bumps to navigate. I really appreciated how both of these characters turned to close friends for camaraderie and advice. I also loved how both main characters are admirably trying to become individuals who can be loved and trusted, which is a wonderful thing to see. I was thoroughly enamored with this couple, so much so, that I was turning pages as fast as I could read them to see how these two would finally work things out. I must say that Kenyhercz does not disappoint with the fabulous romantic ending. Although I have read all of the Las Vegas Sinners books in order, I believe Kenyhercz does a masterful job of blending in just enough background information that Winning Streak and the other books in this series can be read as stand alones. Entertaining and realistic characters are at the heart of this character-driven romance, making Winning Streak a fantastic addition to the Las Vegas Sinners series. Kenyhercz has a refined and engaging writing style that I thoroughly enjoy, and I am always looking forward to reading her next book. If you enjoy sports with your romance, the Las Vegas Sinners series should be added to your TBR pile. I received an eBook copy of the book for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.
